- Alfred approached me about what he saw on a hike in the Mt. Rainier, Washington area in 1987. He's an older gentleman now and feels it is time to share his story.
It's a fascinating account about what happened off-trail to him that day and I'm not surprised that it haunts him still.

He was asked the weight and he said “easily 500 pounds or more”. I think people grossly underestimate the weight, a 6’-3” NFL lineman can weigh 350 pounds.
I completely agree! My husband is a large man, he’s 6’ and weighs around 350.. these creatures are far bigger in height and weight than he is. Just my input.
@@kathrynelaine3486 it’s the girth, an example, if a log with an 8 inch diameter weighs 100 pounds and then you have a log with a 16 inch diameter that log will weigh 400 pounds. If you double the girth, or diameter, the weight increase isn’t double it’s quadruple. So if you had an 8 foot human that weighs 400 pounds, compared to an 8 foot BF that is double the girth of the human it’s weight would be 1600 pounds.
@@johnfranklin8319according to people in Alaska where some believe are the tallest Sasquatch. They believe they could be as heavy as a adult Moose (over 1600 pounds) but also they come in different frames just like people, some are slimmer or skinny as people would say!
@@chalillo2268 An average cow weighs 1500 pounds.
@@chalillo2268marble mountain CA sasquatch witnesses consistently say that the beings they saw were very tall but thin, like a basketball player. They come in all sizes in different areas.

It was in the 80's that I had my first encounter with a Sasquatch while picking black berries on a mountain ridge near Mt Hood in August.
I smelled something horrible and heard something VERY large approachibg me.
It could not see me because I was behind a large gamble of berries..
I was in my 20s and now...I too am in my 60s.

I've written and posted in some Bigfoot communities over the years about some of my Encounters.
It's very interesting stuff.
I am still, tho NOT comfortable talking about it.
I've had some pretty bizarre stuff happen to me.
I stayed completely away from ALL BIGFOOT Websights & Communities
for almost 14 years ...only to very recently begin listening about the subject again.
I'm taking it SLOW
I can only take so much of it tho and then I need a break.

Its said they only show themselves to particular people, that raises a few questions such as how good is the memory of a Sasquatch? Would they be able to recognize and memorize human faces? And what would thier lifespan be? Like say if this man went back to the spot and had another encounter and it happened to be with the same sasquatch would it remember him?

What is a hooded nose
...it's what we ( humans ) think of as a normal nose, unlike a Gorillas which is mostly unhooded with the nostrils uncovered.
Exactly what domestos said, humans nostrils face "down". A "hooded" nose is a human like nose. The nose is a key factor in Sasquatch encounters. In most drawings or depictions of Sasquatch they always give it a "gorilla" like nose with open outward facing nostrils. I think it's the most important factor when someone describes a Sasquatch as more human than ape. Sorry for my long reply, but I think the nose is very important in descriptions of our Forest friends.

@@Bryan-jd7osyeah the narrative the bfro and the John Greens of bigfooting love to promote the idea that these beings are just undiscovered apes when the actual witnesses tell a different story. Yes, many witnesses say it looked like an ape but many also say that it looked too human. Couple that with it's obvious high intelligence and other observed attributes, it's clear that they are more than just regular apes

I hear that often , hooded ., WTF
It means the front, top part of the nose is extended towards the ground, making the nostrils point down as well.. so it looks " hooded "
