Icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, horror’s first “final girl” and the role that launched Curtis’ career. Curtis has portrayed Laurie for more than four decades now, one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. When the franchise relaunched in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.
Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
Halloween Ends co-stars returning cast Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.
From the creative team that relaunched the franchise with 2018’s Halloween and Halloween Kills, the film is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Paul Brad Logan (Manglehorn), Chris Bernier (The Driver series), Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Saw it this evening, opening night. Without any spoilers here is my honest opinion.
1. Like H20, this one took a while before it started to rock and roll.
2. The “End” is very satisfying.
3. We didn’t need a trilogy.
Somebody somewhere needs to take all three of these films and edit them down to a 2 1/2 hour epic.
“Ends” was very long, for what they were trying to accomplish.
“Kills” was too long and lacked a solid story line all the way through.
“2018” was all we needed.
BUT… that being said, I will definitely own this trilogy
Agreed, this could’ve been a two film only, 2018 and ends, even combine ends into 2018 but aight lets have 2 movies, either way I can see them making kills for the sake of, well, killing, taking Michael into its full slasher potential with today’s standards, fine, but yeah, ends ending is good (to me at least) but it had definitely lot of filler

I'm wondering if the final fight scene will take place in a kitchen because they're paying homage to the '78 original quite a bit with Laurie's wardrobe. She initially fled from Michael through the Wallace kitchen...now she's going to stand and fight him.
I like that idea. Pretty much any infatuation with the Laurie strode character I ever read is lame but I’m digging this one. Just not obsessed with the original character like everyone else.

They made her a bit of a fanatic in '18 and, other than the "home being a trap" reveal, she still didn't come across as overly prepared when shit actually hit the fan 😂 also, Carpenter released 1 track from the forthcoming soundtrack titled "The Procession" and all I'm thinking is funeral procession so maybe she will, in fact, die alongside Michael.

The one part made kinda laugh was when that kid fought Myers for his mask in the cave, but then Myers comes back at the end with a duplicate one on. How many does he have in that cave, and why wouldn't he just give it to that kid and say " take it I get them cheap on Amazon with my prime account" 😂😂😂

I saw this film at the cinema last night. I thought it was stupid up until the ending with the final showdown between Laurie and Michael. I am a big fan of the original 1978 HALLOWEEN and I hope this really is the end. I think they have done Halloween to death!

This movie was absolutely horrible and disrespectful to Halloween fans. You sidelined one of the biggest pieces to a Halloween film for a new character in the finale. Allison character is a brat and hardly does anything. The final battle was short and brief and didn’t really feel satisfying since Michael is completely nerfed in this film.
Halloween ended way back in Halloween II ( when he got shot in both eyes and burnt to death by the pure flammable oxygen ! )
They reduced Michael Myers to a cameo in this movie. What a shame.

@Double Vision I remember watching part 6 as a kid, Dr. Loomis finds out that he has some kid of like...druid curse on him that allows him to kill his family. They've made Michael indestructible and immortal so they've kind of painted themselves into a corner, I was thinking the same thing you said, that she has to die too but it sounds like that's not what happens. I'm going to watch it tomorrow

THE KID AT THE BEGINNING WAS THE KILLER. MICHAEL KILLS THREE PEOPLE AND ONE OF THOSE DEATHS WAS THE LADY ON THE WALL. MICHAEL DOES DIE BUT THE KID DRESSES LIKE MICHAEL AND GETS ALL THE KILLS.
the only good parts of the movie:
Opening scene: for the suspense and change of scenery
Michael's death: literaly can't come back after that
Laurie Strode: Jamie lee curtis is always amazing
Everything else was was terrible. If you wanted to see MICHAEL MYERS get kills then dont watch this movie
