I watched a bunch of those movies about kids skiing, skateboarding, playing hockey. They felt so stupid even when I was a kid. This episode has the jokes on point.
@@STOCKHOLM07 haha. Well... That's the adult touch Sunny added. Maybe to joke about counted as funny decades ago like the crazy pranks that were not really pranks.
Y'all mustn't have watched many of those '80s ski movies. This episode was a spot on spoof, plot to soundtrack! And yes the ski shop guy was a guest star Dean Cameron.
@@bradkirchhoff5703 Maybe for you but I have multiple. Dennis breaking his ankles, Charlie pulling beers out of nowhere... sorry you don't like it but everyone ain't the same. No reason to be a ass
The Poconos are a few hours north of Philadelphia and a few hours west of NYC, and they are technically mountains, but more of a highlands without distinct peaks. There are some ski resorts, but this was clearly filmed in the Sierra Nevada or the Rockies.
There were a lot of 80’s ski movies this episode is parodying. Mainly Better off Dead and Ski Patrol and Ski School. But there’s more too. And the bully or his sidekick a lot of times had a sidekick who would do a high pitch laugh like Dennis did.
The weirdest detail about this episode, is that the actor who played Drisco, was NOT in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. But his roommate, who he drove to the audition, was.
80's ski movies are all summarized by this episode. It's also pretty funny how in the context of an 80's comedy, the gang are actually not the worst people. Now that I'm thinking about it, this episode might be a representation of rewatching their favorite comedies from the 80's and realizing how out of touch with reality they were.
There's snow in Philadelphia (although with global warming not as much as it used to), but more hills than mountains. For skiing, you go to the Poconos (pronounced exactly as Mac does in the storm episode).
I love the one-off characters who are completely deranged, like burrito guy in this episode or Charlie’s potential new roommate who makes it clear he won’t touch his shit if he doesn’t touch his.
I always thought this was a weird episode, then again I've never seen any of the movies it's parodying. There's still plenty of laughs, and I enjoy it more on rewatch, but it's probably one of the weaker episodes of the series in my opinion.
Nahhhh its a weak episode. I love those old movies but it doesnt mean anything. This wasnt a great episode no matter how much nostalgia you got from it.

Love the 80s parody hahaha
Also, Mac being an actual badass for a change, man can ski ;)
was all that footage real? including the backflip?

This is one of my favorite episodes. Seeing Charlie's face while hitting Tatyana from behind puts me in tears every time.
As a Swede I've seen snow even more times than I've been confused for a Swiss.
As a Swiss I've seen exactely as many times snow as I've been confused for a Swede.
Shut your holes no one cares what Norwegians have to say.
As a half Swede/half Swiss person I don't even know how to respond to this joke
One of my favorites, such a cool take on 80s films they nailed it, ski school was hilarious, South Park did a similar episode too

@@bradkirchhoff5703 it's a pretty good episode IMO.
This Episode taught me the only thing in life that matters is "MOUNTAIN RULES BABY"
This episode is a conglomerate of a ton of 80s movie references.

A perfect send up of Ski School. Dean Cameron is a comedic gem
This episode is mostly spoofing the movie ski school from 1980s. The guy that works there is the actor from the original movie.
Good video. It will be a fitting reward for me after I finish cleaning the dishes.
This episode is much better if you've seen any of these 80s ski movies.
Better off Dead is a good one though.
As someone that grew up on these movies no its not. This episode is a weak link.
I always forget that they gave Charlie a “Dennis” style sex montage lmfao😂

The roommates, one is Chris Farley's brother. The other guy was in Children of the Corn and The 'Burbs

"I've seen it once."
That's wild.

If you ever saw 80s and 90s ski/ skateboard/ whatever movies. This was a perfect parody.
Johnny Tsunami, and Brink come to mind

You talked through the rules are different on the slopes at the beginning. And is why they were so good. 😊
It’s a take, like everyone said of 80s ski movies like Ski School & Hot Dog The Movie.

Most definitely
I'm guessing you don't get to watch that many 80's and early 90's "ski-movies" Down Under.
