- The Apollo Pro is more than a fast and powerful electric scooter. It's also full of well designed tech and hardware that adds serious value. Read all about the scooter and my experience on it over on Electrek at: electrek.co/?p...

I'm not a scooter guy but this thing looks incredible.
Why even watch this then? And why even comment that? No one cares what you are nor is it gonna swayed anyone's opinion about this.
@@absolutelyfookinnobody2843 I care. YOUR comment is just useless and full of hate.
@@absolutelyfookinnobody2843jeeze dude, take a blood pressure pill
Why comment at all? Why does UA-cam even have a comments section? Why not just remove comments altogether?
I see this as an entirely new class of scooter. The vehicle grade scooter, it's meant to serve as a second vehicle for people that don't want to buy a second car. Due to its IPX66 waterproof rating and waterproof drum brakes you're able to use this 365 days a year (in warm climates) unlike other scooters where you need to find alternate forms of transport on rainy days. I'm excited to see where they go from here. I hope this becomes the trend for scooters going forward, as I would love to replace my 2nd vehicle with a cheaper scooter for around town use.
Oh yeah? Read the fine print . Mine bricked after a few rides in Australian summer ( ZERO RAIN) and the very very first excuse they made was : ahhhhh was it water damage because that's not covered"
It so wasn't water damage. Then they basically said no warranty for Australia try calling another company 3 thousand kilometers away ....

If this was $2499, I would consider it.
At nearly $4k this makes no sense.
You better be right, I just ordered one of these things!
How is your scooter after ordering it I’m interested to get one myself?
Great review Micha , looks like a great machine and well made and designed
I was one of the beta testers for this beauty. I absolutely love this scooter. One thing that I want to mention is how maintenance free this thing is.
If the brakes are anything like the city pro then it’s a hard no
Looks good 👍🏼. Great shots ! Very refined looking scooter.
choosing between this and the gt2 is like ferrari vs lamborghini you can't
Good style and beautiful to gaze at 👍
Their customer service is so bad that even if they end up fixing the issues they’ve caused with my scooter, I’m not sure I even want to own it anymore
12 inch tires wow
The fact that its IP66 waterproofing is crazy. I remember learning a lesson of having tiny wheels on a slick wet surface, and the scooter i use has 5 inches (i know its small im upgrading), even then i dont recommend using an e scooter in the rain.
the bigger the tires, the easier it will be to ride on slippery surfaces. i try to avoid riding in the rain as much as possible but in the rare cases I have to, my 10 inch tires have stayed very grippy. what's even better is the apollo pro has 12 inch tires = more surface area. as long as you ride slow(er) and don't do any sudden turns, wet roads should be much less of an issue. however, I would avoid riding on anything that isn't dry when you only have 5 inch tires.
seems very refined, its quality will be found out in the coming years BUT, but, this is not a hyperscooter. we really gotta stop with this "hyperscooter" thing.
here is a fairly complete list of the only existing hyperscooters
high end wepeds like the dark knight, fs, sonic x etc etc
hunter quad 2x2
numo scooters
rion scooters
i think thats it, maybe im missing a few but anyways. if the scoot cannot hit 120 kph or above, it cannot be considered a hyperscooter. this thing is nice but it barely cracks 70 kph so yea. its not even a superscooter like the king gt, nami viper, thunder 2&3 etc etc, its barely a performance scooter.
please people, stop with the hyperscooter talk
I might add that with the added quadlock system that was missing on your beta model, your phone acts as the display. Also the scooter has a built in bluetooth speaker and loud anti-theft alarm.
"Full width stand". You mean a center stand? Also, you left out the best parts. The horn can be programmed to say "Hey!" Also the prank self destruct alarm.
Would you say it's easier to change tires with the drum brake setup? That is about the only routine maintenance left here, so curious how difficult or easy it would be.
How high were the handlebars. I can't seem to find that on their website. I'm 6'4" and comfort, reliability, and distance are more important to me than speed.
I'm still searching but Nami still remains a better option for me.
I know those roads you're in Boca! BTW great review!
Pricey but cool. I like it.
Good but only the Apollo Pro had a display as good as the Segway GT2, other then that its a great Superscooter...
Your phone acts as the display with included quadlock that supports wireless charging.
1:40 Still, it accelerates to 75, not 70? Or I don't understand something.
are shock absorbers good quality ?
DNM Shock absorber, the best there is in the market
Now imagine this in a vespa package
designer did s great job... because it's easy to mess up
ip66 is the reason am getting this thing for next aprill ! gt2 when it sun ApPro when its rainyyy 🎉
Segway must be worried about this Apollo they just dropped their price on the GT2 again
Don't think they care lol
There biggest in the world don’t think they care
Yeah...im getting this one instead of the gt2.. this is built.way better.. better cleaner lighting, saftey system.. comfortable ride, its a no brainer.. i dont need to go over 45mph..
From a guy who rode on a Nami Burn E2 Max for 3 months, I can say that the long term mainteance of these e-scooters are more than it's worth. They're soo compact & corners are cut quite often. They drop all of the money on the frame & motors. Everything is else is cheap & will fail. Getting good hyrdraulic brakes on an e-scooter that are going to last is far from the case anytime soon. Stay away from these high-end e-scooters. Apollo isn't no different than everyone else. Many fake or paid-off reviews, & the rest head straight to the internet to complain & share their stories. Most people are just unaware of how expensive it is to replace the batteries. The Nami is packed with a 2.5 grand battery, half the cost of the e-scooter... Stay away & buy an e-bike, & if you're spending 5 grand an e-scooter, then buy a motorcycle~
Did you get rid of the burn e ?
It's definitely not worth the very expensive .Check out the YADEA ELITE PRIME brand scooter. For almost a third of the price and an excellent design and only 1300$
You can't compare that scooter to this one. For $1300 there is a emove cruiser which is far better then a yadea or whatever similar to it
maintenance, material, batteries... Open an Apollo, then open Yadea or other cheap brands.
@@musmanov4642 of course Apollo better but huge different price. 3600-1300
Luxury scooter 😳
It’s cool, but not $3,500 cool
Let me know what do you think about that Electric scooter kaabo- wolf -Warrior 11 inch wheels more than 2000 watt motor power 50 Mi range??
Nice scooter, nice review. However, one correction: drum brakes are NOT all-weather (2:45). Get them wet, they disappear. Disk brakes are all-weather, which this scooter doesn't have.
how are they gonna get wet in this situation?
You… have that backwards
What are you talking about? it's the opposite
@@Electrekwhat size is the ?battery
Is it true hover 1 Alpha electric scooter manufacturer in Oklahoma and New Jersey factory located is it okay if you take a factory tour make a video??
Nice bike but yeah that’s a big nooe for me for that money👍
Im more shocked at the fact that this new apollo pro goes faster than the V3 apollo phantom
It's 60v where phantom v3 upgrade is only available for 52v phantom. 60v phantom with v3 will be equal to pro, they avoid that for a reason.
It's cool for sure, but I would take the GT2 any day of the week.
Why may I ask would you take the gt2. Im currently deciding
@@morriemariani9646 Ride quality, build quality, less gimmicky app stuff, to me, the lights look gaudy (personal preference here), superior engineering, handling, better brakes, faster acceleration, more stability at speed, suspension for both front and rear is superior, better tires, KERS (if you're into that), and the overall looks is just more classy to me. Finally, all that at (I think) lower cost than the Apollo Pro.
New Jersey DGL group factory located Oklahoma can you let me know more about that?
Security Feature? I may need to leave it somewhere I can lock it like a bike!
sounds like a reasonable price to me. But I am from Sweden so what would I know
i have a phantom im not sure if id want to upgrade to this what do you think?
i would not, for the price you can get way better.
El problema con estos equipos eléctricos son las Baterias que luego no se consiguen donde se las venden porque los distribuidores no venden los repuestos solo los escúter como las de gas no hay yo me embarque con una y no he podido conseguir la bateria
3500 bucks wow just ridiculous add 1500 and you can buy an electric motorcycle
Amazon charging only $249 hover 1 Alpha electric scooter
Micah is such a beautiful man.
I wish the scooter could go 80 miles of range and at least hit 50 mph and have better brakes 😢
What review?
Its only $5000 Canadian dollars, if your riding around Canada 🇨🇦 on a $5000 electric scooter ,your a spoiled rich kid ,just sayin
Good, but not better. (Not a beast) for 3600.00 dollars and go 40 miles at 40 MPH be 50%f down on battery in 40 miles then good.(Never ever discharge to more then 50% on lithium energy) Not there yet. Next. Water proofing great! But I'm not going to ride in the rain to work, pick a car, think they are still over priced on hype. No display. Use your phone we are cheap. Get me a 2022 WEPED Dark Knight 72V 90a(real beast). Goodbye! Next!
Why so expensive? It looks like a $2,500 scooter.
because its apollo and they over charge on their scooters... I got suckered in their scooters and never again, im going with a E bike next time.
I unsubscribed then realised what your channel is an re-subscribed. I really think you should change your Electrek art with the light blue text on white background. Every time I see it I think it's an ad for electric showers or something. Seeing those thumbnails for the last two live streams are what made me unsubscribe. I'm glad I realised my mistake.
$3550
Insanely overpriced one
you have a dangerous riding stance can tell youre not used to riding scooters youre riding it like a skateboard with a handle
@moralhazard2563 is correct. Side-by-side is the only “wrong” way to ride, as it creates two points of contact with the scooter instead of three, meaning physics is not on your side during braking and acceleration.
You honestly look like a fish out of water riding that scooter it's not hard to tell when someone isn't used to riding something like if you put me on a snow board I wouldnt have a clue you look like you have been riding scooters about 2 days and you're response seems to show. my comment got you a little but hurt. I have rode scooters for 4 years of daily powerful ones too. This was just an observation. You don't have to gang up, hahaha.
Bro i ride my scooter like a skateboard too and i go 70km/h on it, its like surfing.
@sergiolandz6056 does that make it the correct way to ride it because you do it? That's like sitting on a side on a motorbike with both legs to one side but riding forward it sounds wrong that's why standing on a side whilst riding forward is strange and the reason it's strange is because there's handles to hold unlike a skateboard or surfboard which is normal to be on a side as you have to balance with nothing to hold on to therefore that stance is most stable but when handlebars are added that makes sideways unstable as the body is twisted the feet are sideways and the body is forward. But to each their own I suppose.
It looks like a prototype. The segway GT2 looks way better.
