If the CEO of starts was paid only 10X a regular employee and the salary was split amongst baristas, each barista would make only 30 cents more per hours in the US. So the CEOs 35 million$ salary means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I just make instant at home. The cost of coffee + 10 oz. bottled water + a dash of flavored creamer - Total cost of those 3 ingredients divided by my usage per cup = .26 cents a cup
Will be interesting to see the robotic options Starbucks invests in to manage the work behind their front counters wether it is the same companies who build the tech for Mcdonalds or not.
With Luckin coffee entering the US soon, I wonder if these two factors will push starbucks over the edge and pursue "craft" automated cafes. Especially considering that's Luckin's format and they have been INSANELY successful at beating out starbucks. It is unreasonable for largely unskilled labor to expect to coast at a low skill low wage job forever expecting that their market value magically increases. The way to raise your wage is by pursuing new roles. If turnover is too high, THEN an employer might consider wage increases.
