This is normal, to shift to the big chainring the shifter pulls on the cable to increase tension. Opposite is true to shift to smaller chainring, the shifter needs to release cable tension.
@@kotautistic if it's too hard, then there's something wrong with your installation. Usually, you'll just get more resistance on small cog to big cog shift but it's tolerable. If it ain't shifting no matter what you do, try to adjust some parts or maybe the cable.
Sir. pag nasa largest cog ako sir, tas bina back pedal ko is, nag chchain drop sa smaller cog. naka align naman yung jockey wheel sa cog sir. okay naman shifting, ang problema lang talaga is yung pag back pedal tas na chain drop
Does the front derailleur have a hi and low mode. Meaning you shift on the top chain ring and then move it over more to the right, after your already in the top ring?
I got the Claris groupset with a 32T gearset in the back - I like to go for a 34T but I have no idea if it will fit. how can I see if I got the big deraillier? thanks
@@thewanderer673 left shifter when you switch to big ring press it in again it should make another click same as down shifter if that doesn’t work take to bike shop it’s probably cables then. If you’re In Big ring and low gear in cassette half press left shifter upshift/down shift it should make a click before fully shifting to adjust FD
technical claris rd2000 and sora rd3000 are the same. The only difference is less cable pull from sora. So yes you can use a claris rd2000 with a 9 speed cassette. But you also need a 9 speed shifter / trigger and chain of course.
Es el video sencillo que necesitaba, sería genial tener uno de cada grupo de marcas 👏👏👏
Very good shift performance 👍
Extra thumbs up for the music choice
Question will the claris rd work with a reflex sti because im just used to my reflex sti that i dont wanna switch to a claris sti yet
Practical video, thanks.
Do you know how many gears can you sweep at the same lever sweep? like multi shifting?
Diego Cowes I have the flat bar Claris shifters and they can shift the rear derailleur up to 3 cogs at a time
The road level shifts only 2 gears from small to bigger cogs.
3-2-2
I noticed that when shifting from my small chain ring to the big one, you have to apply more effort. Is this normal?

yes and that is the "trim" of the front derailleur to prevent chain rub regardless of your chain line

buy a medium claris derailleur
Will it last during the winter?
is your front chainring worn as the chain sits on top of the teeth for ages before settling in?
SS ? GS?
It works in a 6 casette?
That’s an 8 speed casette
Why does my FD makes sharp noise while downshifting from bigger chain ring to smaller chainring? It's just new

Whe have the same bike but after 6 months of using it, it won't go to the largest cog. What can I do to fix it?
just tighten the cable tension of the rear derailleur.
Hi sir. What cassete ratio did you use? Was that 11-25?
12-25t cassette
@@teejay049 I opted for 11-34 for wider range, faster 11 and 34 for big hills.

Esse é apropriado pra Speed, mas acredito que serve dependendo da quantidade de marchas tem a bike
Good performance pa ba shifting nito hanggang ngayon?

Yes, but you would need to upgrade the shifters and cassette
Can it use for 10 speed sprocket ?
no
