I’m using my bathroom break at work to come bring this to light as well. Everyone hating on Alden. The dude is a full time chauffeur and trying to learn new discs. Cut him some slack! He’s the reason Gannon is so fresh! He doesn’t have to drive! And he’s good too. But whatev.
15 feet sounds about right for the last question. Brodie is way off on pros hitting 496 twenty eight footers in a row. I don’t care if it is straight forward with no wind. No way
Brodie is silly with his putting in disc golf is easy schtick. It’s like he’s trying to convince himself to putt better. The comparison is eagles missed putt at Portland open for the win. Where he then went into a playoff with drew and lost.
Totally agree. Great and consistent putting is what wins tournaments. Almost every time. Go play some c tiers brodie, maybe you can convince yourself you're a good putter
@@jftaylor1000Lighting is super important. If I didn't have that cover over the window behind me, the light would have been a big problem for the camera and most people's viewing experience.
We have a 850ft hole on my home course and from about 600 to 800 feet off the tee is a giant OB area then the green is after that. Truly a decision hole on laying up to play for the 4 or 2 big shots to get the 3.
As a former golfer who got down to a 6 hdcp at 40 years old, I'd LOVE to see Hunter struggle on a course. (What is the ball golf equivalent to "early release?")
Hunter you need a dehumidifier if you dont already have one. Keep that mold at bay. Ask your HVAC company about indoor air quality as well. UV light for your indoor AC coil. Im an HVACER...
Courses on European Pro Tour are not just super good looking (they chose the coolest for a reason), but they are also super technical and demanding for the players. Don't let the looks fool you :D ps. OB lines and hazards ARE standardized in the PDGA rulebook. That is absolutely non issue. Might be that commentators doesn't always know how the OB lines go, but that is not the case for the players.
Something that will help with the green talk and the short ob talk. Go with an older point brodie made in a previous show. Change the rule and change the color of play lines. Short of island is ob. Rethrow from previous lie. Left of basket becomes hazard. Right is a lake and is ob, throw from previous lie.
I’m with Brodie on this, US Open pressure on a 3 1/2 foot slider on those greens is brutal. I would say missing a 22 footer in 15 mph winds in disc golf is equivalent. Never mind he hasn’t won a major in 10 years. The pressure is real
Curious on how you guys would feel about a reverse island hole where the basket is surrounded by a 30ft O.B./ hazard Circle so it would force you to make a 30ft putt to move on to the next hole. The obvious issue with that would be timing and how long a card could get stuck there but other than that do you think that could be something course designers could do to make a hole tougher?
I find it small world how hunter pointed out the origin years of disc golf and pickleball, cuz fathers day I was wondering and learned that as well they both started in 65ish
Not nearly the equivalent of missing a putt at a major, but Eagle's missed putt at the 2019 Portland Open stands out. Eagle, especially at that time, was almost automatic with his putter. That short miss led to a playoff with Drew that Eagle lost. Cost him a pro your victory. Now I will say it was an elevated basket. But when your Eagle's height, is there such a thing as an elevated basket? Love the show. Keep it up y'all.
I have never seen a distortion, feedback, or reverb in anybody’s bag. I’m guessing he simply wasn’t moving plastic and there was some clause in the contract that gave prodigy a window to cut ties.
But football is predicated upon yardage and most of the rules and main point of the game revolve around yard markers, where as baseball remains consistent as long as the mound to plate and space between the bases are the same.
There are a few content creators that are not pros, but of they do a video and recommend a disc, there's a good chance I will pick one up. To be really successful it feels like you need a social charisma component to the brand.
I love the idea of a more detailed “green.” The idea that the pros shouldn’t do it because it will affect the ams… c’mon. The NBA has different rules than the NCAA, same with high school. As for the argument of step putts and other skills, it is a skill so to be the best, the players will have to learn new skills to stay relevant.
Brodie and uli’s argument for the new green rule is kinda wack. Disc golf putts and greens are way easier than ball golf green and putts. But instead of mounds and bumps on the green that we have to worry about, the thing that makes a tough green in disc golf, is trees. If you land behind a wall of trees but your inside the circle, your still inside the circle or “on the green” you just have to deal with obstacles in front of you. Such as hills in golf and in this case trees. Having a perfectly wide open look should not define “making the green”
What difference does is make to anyone if he left or was released? Other than Kevin, it's none of anyone's business. I didn't know foundation had devolved into a daytime cable tv gossip show
This speculation but what I think may have happened with the KJ situation is similar to what happened with Bret Hart and the WWF back in the day. The WWF signed Hart to a big contract then came back about a year later and told him that the WWF couldn’t afford to pay him so they gave him the option to renegotiate or be released from his contract to find the money elsewhere. I could see that maybe Prodigy signed KJ to a deal in the post Covid plateau/decline that they simply couldn’t pay him the amount they agreed upon and KJ made the choice to go elsewhere as opposed to renegotiating for less money.
A couple big missed by Gary: Eagle McMann? He’s played like 4 events this year, why would it be a surprise he is not in the top 32. Also, in standardization, a, singular, butter basket? We have some good baskets actually the problem is too many that are approved and they are all a little bit different. That is the problem too many types.
Just a couple of clarifications here. First, I didn't bring up Eagle. I believe that was Dustin's answer. Eagle has played in too few events, so I gave him a pass. Secondly, basket standardization on the tour is necessary for the very reason you mentioned in your comment. We have too many types and some work better than others. There should be a standardized basket on tour. For your local courses and clubs, that doesn't need to be a requirement. I'm only referring to the highest level of our sport for that take.
@@thumberlife if I mis-credited the comment to you, I do sincerely apologize. I could have swore…anyway. I understand the business/sponsor, transport and age of the sport reasons why we don’t have a single basket for the tour yet. I do agree with the concept/theory of it, just more the various reasons we don’t yet.
My take: KJ’s contract affected offer to Gannon. Gannon is tearing it up. They want cap space for Robinson - either. KJ isn’t working hard enough on pushing sales, media and playing. He’s chillin. Gone!
Only Brodie has a real understanding of golf. The putt Rory missed was super fast, downhill with a ton of break to the right. It was an extremely difficult putt, especially under enormous pressure. The putt he missed on 16 was far more egregious.
Make more island holes and TD can create any kind of putting angles and ideal landing spots. Circle 1 has a word circle in it so we'd have to change the name of it. In Finland most pro tour events have a painted 10 m circle so it could be painted in an un-uniformed manner, but I think that would be dumb. Circle 1 should be moved to 20 meters or 15 meters to create a longer distance for jump putts etc. Illegal jump putts are a problem and moving C1 line to 20 meters, we could basically change the rule so that you can have both feet in the air when disc leaves your hand, but jump has to start from the lie. That would solve the much of the foot fault issue.
DGPT Europe Ale Open at the Ale Disc golf center course compared to the Preserve... Are you kidding me. Ale course is that they should be on DGPT as a standard. No ball golf courses anymore. They are boring.

Unequivocal support for the break 100 series. One of the best this channel has ever had.

I want to see Brodie putt 15 footers in his backyard with no pressure. I'd bet heavy odds his misses 1 of the first 100, let alone 496.
Am I nuts? I watched a video 5 months ago where Alden Harris built his first Discmania bag? He isn’t learning new discs? 🤔
Yeah he did move they just forgot. Probably because he hasn’t made coverage to show off the new bag…
How long does it take to learn your bag? Especially if you don't have to work a day job. 2hrs in a field and 3 rounds tops in my opinion.
