Tbh, everyone is saying how the Mimic and an alternate would fight, I think they'd bond and team up and kill anyone they can, then share the corpse. Like, the alternate's job would be to disorient the prey, and the mimic would hunt.
Everyone's saying that the mimic and the alternate would fight or be friends but like... Realistically, they probably wouldn't pay any mind to each other. Alternates wouldn't think of Mimics as worth replacing since their unnatural threats. And Mimics wouldn't think of Alternates as potential victims due to their inhuman appearance. Of course, both of these are thrown out the window when you bring Elder Mimics and Doppelgangers into the question, but still.
@NOT_JayZ I know that I'm only saying that because mimics are smart enough to consider alternates a threat though the alternate is stronger and can solo an elder mimic could put up a bit of a fight but not defeat the alternate so alternate would win either way
