I think the scariest thing about the mimic and the vita carnis monsters in general is that they’re actually killable/defeatable unlike most analog horror monsters. at their core they’re also just animals looking for food, so it’s not like you’re being hunted by a sapient monster that wants to torture you, your life and fear is insignificant. the mimic only cares about the nutrition a victim will provide.

Really cool and loved it as it gave me the same hype when I watched his encounter remix. "Vita Carnis" is an analog horror series by Darian Quilloy about a universe where blood-red skinned species spontaneously appeared as a species on earth, and were accepted as a part of the natural ecosystem. All the species are sub-species of a vine with the same latin name as the series, "Vita Carnis".

This song is a remix of the song "Encounter" from the "Funkdela catalogue" fnf mod, based on another analog series called "The Mandela Catalogue"
"The Mandela Catalogue" analog horror series is an analog horror series centered around Mandela county (i dont remember if it's fictional or not and too lazy to check), which is (SPOILER ALERT:) overrun by entities known as alternates. These entities can copy the looks of people and deceive them into commiting sui slide (modified word out of possibility of youtube hiding my comment for everyone else if i used the real word).

Ok mimics are easier to deal with than woodcrawler or alternates because the weakness of mimic its capability that you can outrun it and appears to be dumb because he can not notice you before you notice it, woodcrawler law is that if you can hear it or see it it already sern you or heared you and alternate already know where you are... and its easier to kill an humanoid than a spider or a demon

Fun fact vita cranis is supposed to take place in the 30s
It actaully STARTS in the 30's but continues up till at least the eighties. There was a giantic meat snake fed by a cut in World War two, and I wouldn't be surprised if both imperial japan and Nazi germany did some insane experiments with thsi things. IRL they sewed together people and inflicted frostbite, so in a world were literal monsters appeared out of nowhere only a decade or so prior they'd likely do all sosrts of stuff. I wouldn't be suprised. fithey even fed Mimics humans just to see the trasnformation to an Elder Mimic. But it continues with the Giantic Meat Monoliths appearing in the 70s. And who knos when the singularity apepared.
