So beautiful, so neat, so empty
Right?? I was gonna say, where are all the !#$@! people???
All of the people are at the other parks in the area. This is Brown's Island and is primarily used for outdoor festivals (although runners use it daily. There's a gorgeous, new footbridge that you can cross the entire James River on. Class 3 rapids).
It’s either during the pandemic, early in the morning or it’s cold outside. Richmond is never this empty. I’m a native & current resident.
Don’t forget the homeless population
Most cities in America are like this, Atlanta, Houston, Cincinnati, the list goes on. I bet you haven't been anywhere.
I live in Richmond! One of the most amazing places in the states to live/visit in my opinion!
Plz tell me best tour places
Thanks you so much for these amazing video from the United States of America to shows these amazing places❤❤❤
Was there in November 2001, was during thanksgiving so it was quiet but the people seemed nice and the City had some interesting parts, wish i had more time to explore but was only a 2 day visit, God bless Richmond Virginia.
I miss Richmond. So much history, no traffic, nice people
Is it a good place for single moms? Raising children?
@@joannalittleford9937 The suburbs like Henrico County, Glen Allen , chesterfield are very good places to raise kids. The city itself has normal inner city problems like anywhere in the world
The city is very beautiful cozy the beauty is off the scale.
Nice place ! I have to go there ! For now I just visited Richmond in London, UK ! 😊👍
I’m loving it here
Very Beautiful Neon Green Tree's.
Thank you for visiting Richmond! Great video! I’ve noticed most tour videos of Richmond only cover Shockoe Bottom, which is where this video was filmed entirely, and a little bit of Oregon Hill towards the end. Just two small neighborhoods amongst about 12 others that are all wildly different from one another in style. The Fan District (more large section of Richmond) is the heart of the city and incredibly beautiful/different from Shockoe Bottom and Oregon Hill. I do not blame you at all though, it’s taken me traveling to different cities myself to learn how hard it is to get a genuine grasp of the place! Thanks again for your high quality video.
I found your channel in 2021 and visited Phoenix & Sedona, AZ with my family in August 2021. We loved it there, but this video is making me love RVA a little more (maybe lol). Now I find this video of you in my town. Awesome! Keep up the great work on all of your videos. You do a great job giving travel ideas & tips!
I LOVE RICHMOND VA SO MUCH TO DO AND SEE NOT TO FAST NOT TO SLOW JUST RIGHT PERFECT LOCATION RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING EXTREMELY DIVERSE I CALL IT THE MELTING POT OF THE MID ATLANTIC LOVE ❤️ YOUR VIDEO 📹 ❤️ ♥️ .

This channel makes me want to live everywhere!
How are you enjoying our Thailand videos
Richmond really is a truly Historical American cities.
Definitely go check out Maymont Park!
It's so crazy watching this cause I know every nook and cranny and shop and restaurant in Richmond. It's the best.
How safe is the city?
@@Eirik36 Richmond is pretty pretty safe, but you will definitely find some homeless people. Most are harmless, but some would consider this a red flag. There are some neighborhoods that are clearly poverty-stricken.
@@sunsetsav I’m looking at the Ruther glen area, just north of Richmond!
Next time hit up the fan, carytown, and Scotts. That's where all the fun is.
You guys missed all of the incredible murals done by the Richmond Mural Project! Ugh. Well, I'll go shoot the new ones and share them. 😋 Come back soon and we'll take you around to a few craft breweries inside of old factories (with industrial equipment still installed on display).
I don't know why this city makes me think of Red Dead Redemption II
Richmond is so nice city i want to go to rich mind city I like that
lol, paghla
Must go to Cafe Rustica, Rosie Connelly,, and Balkan Restaurant!!!!
love it there! So much history to learn from!
No history anymore they've destroyed it
@@davisgilliland1129 Uh... yeah there is. You probably don't even live anywhere near us if you think that. Yes, a couple statues were removed and others added. No, that is not all there is to RVA. There are other fascinating places such the the Pumphouse from around the Civil War area, the numerous still standing buildings from 100+ years ago in Downtown, the old ruins at Brown's Island.
@@trollsthatlol1 ; The current mayor and his underlings have no appreciation of the historical architecture or any sense of preservation, except for dragging RVA into the 21st-century by continuously revisiting Jim Crow and the slavery era. Unless something reverses the trend, RVA will be a slum city surrounding a ghetto casino.
Great video, very informative.
0 Richmond but i love my city 🏙️ 💯🔥
Superb.
THE JEFERSON DAVIS STREET IS A LONG VERY LONG STREET IN THAT STATE REAL I MISS SO MUCH VIRGINIA
You didn’t go to the Edgar Allan Poe Museum! 😢
Hey, great footage, I respect this channel, a very short and concise presentation of the destinations.Nno need to talk and talk for hours before the presentation like many channels usually do, because for me it's boring and I skip them, Anyway looks very nice place there and I subscribed to ur channel..
Love 🌵 Cactuses 🌹🌹🌹
This city has similarities to the canal and Flour Mill industry such as my city Rochester, NY
I was Born in Richmond Virginia Its one of my favorite places in the world 🌎 I wouldn't like to live in RVA one day can you visit Rocketts Landing!
As a young professional living here, I can confirm that Richmond is one of the hidden gems still around in our country when it comes to medium sized cities. The amount of development & capital investment that has happened in the last year is incredible. The secret is getting out and people are just starting to move here in high numbers. We have a ton of breweries, wineries, incredible food scene, & an outdoors orientated community with endless opportunity for recreation. Cost of living is still reasonable & there is so much to do.
RVA is the perfect blend of large city amenities with a medium city feel & true culture/community. All of the development that is happening reminds me of early days Austin before it blew up. Happy to be here early!
Great channel!,
if you love your city, find out who needs to be told to get Richmond cleaned up. James River was cleared of dirt, new sidewalks and roads were made. I live in Henrico County and I feel terrible discomfort when I come to Richmond. Some kind of pigsty, not a city. Who is in charge of order in the city? Why don't they punish craftsmen who lay tiles on the sidewalk so that it immediately falls apart?
@@Jj9999 lol pigsty 😆🤣👍🏼
Nice video
Nice
I miss Richmond's tobacco aroma...it used to permeate everything in the Shockoe Bottom area. I miss the big rifle that used to hang on a 14th St building. I miss the Virginia State Fair off Laburnum Ave. and it's nightly fireworks. I miss the haunted house on the corner of Mechanicsville Turnpike and Harvie Rd. My parents told me when they moved to the eastern side of Henrico County in 1958 the western urban sprawl stopped at Willow Lawn shopping center.. everything past that was out in the country. I wish someone would show the James River high water mark (from Hurricane Camille) inside Main Street Station. IMO that Richmond National Battlefield stamp sucks.
I live here lol
I have a dream, one Day i Will Como there and all my family😂
How do you go to Richmond and not make time for St. John's Church? Also, it is 'GIve me Liberty or give me death.' St. John's Church is the most significant history in the city. It is like going to Philadelphia and not having time to visit Independence Hall.
Hello members am a single mum from Uganda and i named my son Richmond becoz i want him to grow and study here kindly sponsor us
Come to va beach
va beach is terrible
@@MrCheeseball90 Richmond the worst
@@rossvesci1706 obvs never been to richmond it’s cool. va beach all tourist shit
I was in 2016 but I couldn’t visit because of my journey to Miami.
aye i’m from miami haha
Is Richmond safe City?
the johnny depp trial brought me here
I’m 4 minutes into the video…what are the locks and canals that you keep showing and talking about? Was into your video but no info other than a walk along the water. What is the significance of the water wheel? Can’t watch anymore. Thanks for trying to be a tour guide but I’m moving on….😢
NORFOLK VIRGINIA BEACHE IS SOU GREAT
I noticed there was the constant hum of traffic at high speeds in most locations. I took a look at the map and was sad to see that the urban core of Richmond is cleaved by not only several interstates but expressways as well. Such a pity to see what American urban planning has done to its once beautiful historic cities.
I couldn't agree with you more--it's just incredible to see and hear the traffic in so many places in the US, not just cities, it really disrupts community life and connection, not to mention peace of mind and health from breathing in all the fumes.
Roaches, hostage, failing series 7 and some -> that means they thought it was a done deal and a force situation
Now it’s a suicide situation
Pearl and I both know looks got nothing to do with this shit.
The operative part is: all this happened before I stepped foot in North Carolina.
And I don’t see any of the other women behaving like this.
Out of nowhere boots are showing up everywhere. 🤔
Muslim families everywhere 🤔
All of a sudden. I’m telling u, god is working through me with all the dumb shit that’s been done to me since I was born.
Tim Cook - fucking remove the jeep with the Virginia plate, the Kentucky plate, the orange Honda fit, and the Tesla.
Kay?
Oh my fucking god.
Someone tell me if this isn’t a force operation.
living in Richmond, I absolutely hate it.. people are rude, lot of stoners and has the highest poverty and homeless population in the whole state. I Miss Phoenix and hopefully I can move back someday…
Geez. I freaking hated Phoenix. Hope you get to go back.
The place is a prime example of incompitant government. It's a sewer hole because of city hall management.
Is it the black power you fear poor man
Sounds like liberals are running the place, from your comment.
I lived for a year and half. If you are like me who is used to big city vibes, never visit Richmond. The city doenst have much to offer
Richmond is one nice looking place but I have met the worst of the worst people there. The history and demographics is the reason for such people.
Thinking of moving there - what’s wrong with the people?
Lived in Richmond for 4 years back in the mid-70's. Didn't recognize one damn thing in this video. Richmond was a dump when I left. Now it must just continue to be boring as hell.
Notice the conspicuous absence of any video showing the ruins of Monument Avenue (which was one of the city's premiere attractions until the summer of 2020), after Mayor Ray Nagin Stoney allowed rioters to vandalize and burn the neighborhood.
yeah, it used to be amazing. now its completely different.
oh no, statues commemorating traitors were vandalized?
@@qwertqwertasd The traitors are those who burned down our cities and tried to justify it with tales of racial "justice"
@@juliustheillustrious7727 lmao I don’t condone rioting but I also won’t shed a tear for confederate monuments. erecting statues to secessionist losers is bad enough, needing a mob to force you to remove them is embarrassing, calling your statue gallery of traitors a “premiere attraction” is pathetic
You got the mayor’s name wrong
Some old n boring city
Old yes. Boring? If you're looking for a boring city, look southeast toward the "City" of Chesapeake where things seldom change in 20 years lol
Anyone who says Richmond is boring is a hater and has never been to Richmond.
Aint no Nascar in them old streets yawn
Richmond is horrible, people are rude and it's super ghetto.
Literally only the projects are ghetto, the city itself is fine. Like every city, avoid sketchy areas and there will be no problem.
