I live about 4 miles from that train bridge ! The train tracks were pulled out around 1990 and all of us kids drove ATVs on the abandon rail bed .There is another train bridge about 2 mile south of there crossing horse creek its the same design as the river bridge but just one span long , the last time I saw it was about 20 years ago and it was getting very over grown with trees.
@@countryautobody7079 thank you for the information. I appreciate it. I actually was raised in this area went to Herscher high school we lived in Buckingham moved up to the western suburbs was about 28 so you know the area well but didn’t know the story behind that trail. Thank you.
It does look like the ends of two separate trusses were connected to make a heart shape. Makes sense that they may have been repurposed from old roof trusses.
So pretty ❤ If it's over 100 years old in Texas you might be able to have it named a historical place ❤ Then they can't tear it down ❤ Would make me mad if they did 🤬
Cool bridge & walk! Thanks for sharing!
That’s a unique bridge 👍
Cupid and sugar (creek). Would love to know the whole story-thank you so much-I really enjoyed this and know others would too. God bless you brother.

Are you sure the dip in the middle of that bridge is intentional?
I thought it was from corrosion, and it is about to fall down.
