There's a lot of methods that are pretty effective and easy to navigate while modeling! Makes me want to try Enscape too. I've learned so much from this video, thank you so much!!

i am a maya software user, after learning maya i used to create many architectural exteriors and interiors. But after finding out the user friendliness and fast modeling of sketch up,i am now fully commited to learn it. It was easy to migrate to sketch up after having some skills in maya. Took some mere hours. I found some differences though, In maya i do have more freedom of creativity with the geometries but in the case of sketch up its limited and material texture properties is also limited as well

I have some questions: at 3:17:25 what program is on the right side of the screen and how do you connect it with your current Sketchup design? Also do you build for fun or for clients? And lastly if you do , do this for clients how to you get costumers? Do you sell your designs online or do plp reach out to you?

@@layoutarchitect Interesting. Have you been able to find any affordable structural engineering software that works with sketchup? I believe the pro version has the ability. My application is the home building market in the USA. Basically, I just want to know if a home built from lumbar (stick built home) has appropriate support in different design load conditions. I believe this data would be specific to the species of wood and I think sketchup has this data, right? Only in the pro version.

How long does it take to learn Sketchup?
Like, I really like planning builds and stuff and tried The Sims 4 which I've learned the key buttons and everything in 30 min..
Now I know Sketchup is heaven and earth apart but still, I'm a quick learner.
try it, it's easy to learn, you will be able to learn it in one day and keep practicing to be good at it
