Mob Psycho is definitely one of the best shows that came out in the last 10 years. The main themes are being a good person, having morals, improving and growing as a person, accepting yourself and all that is packed into supernatural, action, comedy show.
The openings are full of refrences to individual episodes but it's so well done you can't figure out anything just from watching the openings alone.
I have watched this opening 100+ times and I still think I didn't get it all

One thing I love about Mob Psycho 100 is that it shows that something doesn't have to be dark to be good
fun fact, the group that sang all of the openings is called Mob Choir, and they are named this because the choir is literally people in the animation studio that created the show. i think the main singer was a part of the crew as well in the first one and continued to come back for the second and third songs even after joining sajou no hana. i heard ONE, the creator of the original manga series, also helped write the lyrics for each song.
I knew that the group was created just for this show, but that's such a cool thing the og creator even helped with openings! I love the production value of Mob even more now~

The main singer we hear in all the songs is the VA for the girl leading the Psychics Club
This show is one of the most emotionally mature pieces of media you will ever watch, while also being really funny, having great action, and being beautifully animated.
Mob Psycho is definitely a show you should watch, one of the best shows in the past few years. The animation is incredible and so is the story and characters.
The way to look at it is Saitama and Mob are foils to each other. Saitama is physical strength and trained to achieve that at the expense of his human emotions, whereas Mob is mental strength and was born at that level and had to shut his emotions off. So you have two unstoppable OP characters, one who started with no power and had emotions then trained and closed off to the world, then you have one who started with his power and had to shut off his emotions to control his powers and is now trying to reconnect. It's sort of the same character from two opposite sides of the tracks. No power - yes emotions, and then Power yes - emotions no, and they're both trying to navigate the unknown to find their place.
Mob Psycho is my favorite piece of fiction, I genuinely don't think anything that will ever come out will top this as my favorite anime, manga or just fictional story in general.

also, if you're looking for more things in this sort of weird vein of music, my recommendation is Dorohedoro! it has one opening and six endings, because MAPPA did a proto Chainsaw Man approach, and gave season 1 multiple endings... though for this show it's 6 endings for the 12 episode season.
so what you mean is 6 endings for 12 episodes is, that each ending is played on 2 episodes??!!
@@legendaryanimelover3462 yeah, basically that. Dorohedoro came out before Chainsaw Man, but a lot of what it does seems like it was testing the waters for what ended up happening with Chainsaw Man. Dorohedoro looks really good in a lot of ways, but you can tell the CGI is a little rougher. they did multiple EDs, but not one for every episode... and the OP and EDs are all done by the same artist, so you don't get that same variety pack effect that Chainsaw Man has. the tonal consistency is kind of nice in it's own way though.
overall, I just really love Dorohedoro... I really hope it gets another season someday, because the first one was so much fun to watch.

Mob Psycho 100 is definitely top 5 anime, at least for me. I've seen people completely pass it up because the art style looks "goofy" but then they miss out on a fantastic anime with amazing animation, amazing story and amazing characters. Watch it if you ever get the chance, it's different from One Punch Man but I enjoyed MP100 more.

Mob Psycho Op visuals just hit different. Personally OP 2 is my favourite. Awesome reaction as usual and eagerly waiting for you to react to One Piece film red songs.
so a little interesting thing, in the full version of One and Only 1, the song ends with the same beat as 99 starts with, making the openings loop together. just a fun thing I found

Mob psycho and OPM are made by the same person that’s why it’s so familiar
the one punch man relation is a bit more complicated the story is by the same person as the guy who wrote One Punch man but the manga for MOB is drawn by the author whilst One Punch Man is drawn by a super talented artist named Murata and the animes are animated by different studios One punch man S1 being by mad house and all of MOB is animated by Studio Bones
it's fun coming from One Punch Man to Mob Psycho 100. It's the same author so every now and then you see a OPM reference as a comic laying around, or a phone/pc wallpaper. Makes me smile :)

I find it funny at the end you called it a "shout choir" when the band who made all three openings are called "Mob Choir" (its a mix of different musical artists gathered just for these three openings)

Personal opinion. Mob psycho 100 better than One Punch Man. The fights in both are great but the deep plot, character and relationship developments, Mob psycho takes the cake
