Throughout the years, Evergrande stood as a symbol of China's booming real estate sector and economic prowess. In the preceding year alone, it erected housing equivalent to 300 Empire State Buildings, seemingly defying all odds. However, fast-forward to August 2023, and fortune has abandoned them. Their current predicament paints a stark contrast to their former glory, sending shockwaves through China's economic landscape and beyond.

Forensic reports on failed companies is very helpful. You're doing a great job!
True
The obsession with expanding into so many seemingly random industries was eerily familiar to the fall of HNA group
They even have football team at one point right?
That intro was🔥
I love your Company Forensics videos, they're always so educational and entertaining at the same time.
Wow, this video really dives deep into the rise and fall of Evergrande, and your explanation is both informative and engaging! You have a knack for breaking down complex financial topics. 😊If you could have a conversation with one person, past or present, about the Evergrande situation, who would it be and what's the one burning question you'd ask them?
I agree. You've got quite the talent for simplifying complex global financial events, making them both insightful and entertaining.
Now, I'm curious, do you think there might be any unexpected ripple effects from Evergrande's financial crisis that could catch people off guard in the coming months or years? 🌊💭
I like the transition though!
Your video on the rise and fall of Evergrande is incredibly informative and engaging!
That's right @dotpenji! Keep up the good work @slidebean.
His explanation of Evergrande's rise and fall is like peeling back the layers of a financial thriller. Very informative! Thanks for sharing!
How do these companies keep getting away with being reckless. Poor individuals who paid for their homes.
Maybe because 95+% of people don't start companies
Except none of those homes were never truly _paid_ for in the first place: unfortunately you can't "buy" a property in China, only lease for a max of 70 years. 😬😬
Another great video by Slidebean.
First!
Great video. Love Slidebean!
THANKS FOR THE INFO KAYA!!
Amazing video Slidebean team!
I really like how you tell a story and don't forget about the people affected.
i'd been kinda remiss and hadn't watched a slidebean video in awhile. they're even better! ditch your main business, youtube fame and fortune is your destiny!!
Welcome back, good sir!

I love your videos 🙂
thanq brother - from India
Bankruptcy in China is different but in this case workers are compansated first then families that bought an unit will be compansated, then creditors and if there's anything left investors and then the board.
Compensated by whom?
Great explaination of the rise and fall of the company. It would be interesting to see how is the follow up after 1-2 years.
There goes your social credit score lol
😆 🤣 😂 😹
best intro every!
Great !
7:34 This makes no sense Cash ($) to Short term debt ($) should be a ratio, not 1$
The three red lines sound pretty reasonable to me.
They are; this just shows how crazy the bubble got that 60 percent failed initially.
Based on their debt and its 25-year life Evergrande lost $30.3M US dollars every single day!
Great video. I been watching this situation for over a year and it’s developing slowly. I think the impact doesn’t stop in China. Maybe starts impact the world. Thx again.
No. Most of the world is decoupled from the insane, arrogant copycats.
2:56 how people are not allowed in china to invest in stock market??
An excellent simple video
I dont get the beginning
De verdad, he estado toda esta semana hablando con mis amigos sobre la situación en Nosara.

Please cover the default and eventually, Country Garden's demise...
Country garden hasn't defaulted...yet. they missed a bond payment but there is a 30ish day grace period. Ps I'm saying ish bc the bond isn't clear if it the beginning or the end of the last day. It's most likely trying to send a message, the interest payment is small. Whether the government steps in is unclear. Evergrande tried this to in Sept 2021 and defaulted in Dec that same year.
The Chinese Ponzi scheme
How does this have thousands of views but only a couple hundred likes?
The major company manufacturing iPhone for Apple is also a Taiwanese company.
Thanks for this! Now can you do one on the NYSE and the Market Manipulation on Wall Street. Particularly Citadel Securities & Virtue..❓
i thought it was alot more 300 mill each
China is still heavily populated. People are always going to need homes/land. What’s the reason every large company isn’t jumping in to buy out pieces of the land at these low prices?
As always, fantastic video Slidebean! Love these kinds of videos. :)
In china u cannot get LAND ownership.... LAND belongs to Government only...u can only obtain right to use the land thats it...😐
The population is decreasing and will keep doing so, while millions of apartments are already empty (because of the speculation that the government stopped in 2021).
Very good video, sorry if its getting pumped by Bot dislike, I appreciate it, Big like from me.
Only buy Pre-build home
evergreeen. . evergrande.. . yeah, definitely mixed them a lot
he is king
Chinese have access to youtube ?
Officially no
Perhaps the office grind is just outdated nowadays due to technology? Sucks for all the businesses who catered to office workers, but what’s that got to do with me? My soul crushing commute and mundane/cringe office small chat is gone. “Culture” is nonsense, most workers agree that office culture is cringe AF. I will never take a hybrid or fully office job ever again. WFH FTW.
Anyone looking to asia for investments/stock market, will be very disappointed. 2024 is going to be a bloodbath in real estate.
You can get banned with that joke....
$300 million compared to Blackrock's $10 Trillion seems like a small pie of the pie
Time to invest in India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🚀🚀🚀🚀
