You hyped this direct up so much with unrealistic expectations. Your a Nintendo youtuber at least do a little bit of research and look back at September 2016, that direct was Shoddy too but it was bad for a reason and that reason is switch 2 is indeed getting closer and closer there’s a huge copy paste pattern from Nintendo that they are doing this year straight copied and pasted from 2016, given how well it worked for the switch it’s easy to see why. Yes the direct was boring I expected it to be but the huge announcement they made was what they didn’t say It’s coming sooner than we expect
Dude you gotta get your shit together. You make fake hype videos about nonsense games then act bummed over this direct which 8 years into a lifecycle was insanely good.
Not at all. Dq3 looks amazing, release date for suikoden, peglin, trails games, atelier, rune factory, my sims it literally had stuff for everyone. Not saying it was the best ever or even close but it was solid
You do this bullshit all the time man. You hype up direct rumors and leaks and when the show finally comes around, if it’s not heavy first party titles, you run on here and post these videos. Goin on 3 years of this now man cmon 😂
These are the HOTTEST takes I've ever heard. Castlevania Dominus Collection? The series started on Nintendo. What's wrong with JRPGs? But you know what's funny? Non Nintendo fanatics get way more excited cuz we know 90% of it is multiplatform.
It’s almost like fall directs are more tailored to announce and discuss projects for TGS. It’s like Nintendo is trying to broaden your horizons as you wait for your stock Nintendo games that will definitely come out next year anyway. People’s complaints about this show ring hollow. Get better taste.
Disagree with you. Just because it has games you don't like doesn't make the direct the worst of all time.its a free 40 minute presentation of games coming to the switch. You admitted it yourself, it's an aging system. Can't blame developers for not wanting to release games on it Expectations need to be lowered.
Personally I didn’t care for this direct, but I’m not complaining. It’s clear to me that Nintendo is getting their 3rd party announcements out of the way so they can reveal the Switch 2 as soon as next month
People complain more about the Fall directs because it is tailored to Tokyo Game Show. Last few years lots of cozy farm and life sims and JRPGs…..Nintendo partners moving on….but it’s not as bad as the first partner showcase in Covid times….Power Stone
So, you would be opposed to something like Jedi: Fallen Order coming to Nintendo‘s next system being featured in a future direct, since it Harkins back to 2019?
I'm sorry, but most people knew they were going to be remix and remasters. And old school games at this direct. What do you expect at this stage in the game for the switch?
Lots of straw maning going on in this comment section. Zack never said he expected big Nintendo first party titles he was just disappointed with the partner showcase as many previous leaks were untrue.
Which makes you wonder why anyone even takes leaks into consideration. 90% of the time these leaks end up being false, which makes them not leaks since leaks are actual pieces of information not officially made known yet. Therefore, a rumor, which again, why are these people getting themselves hyped up on rumors? Dude looks like he hasn't slept properly in a while. Maybe lay off the hopium??
I agree that this direct sucked but Zack, you have got to stop acting like everyone has other systems to play on. I would bet that for half of your viewers the switch is their only system.
I agree with you that’s the thing that doesn’t annoy me with Zach. He thinks that everybody rather he assumes that everyone has a PS5 or an Xbox series X and quite frankly I don’t. I had the chance to get a PS5 but I chose the switch instead and I don’t regret my choice. There is nothing on PS5 that is of interest to me and there’s nothing on Xbox that is of interest to me. I will never buy Future PlayStation or Xbox again I’m thinking with Nintendo Nintendo has the approach that I want. I think the thing with Zack is literally first world problems but he’s not trying to invalidate anyone’s opinion but he isn’t the only one that has this kind of attitude a lot of Nintendo UA-camrs don’t just have Nintendo systems and again they assume that, many people don’t just have a switch?
Was it the best? No. Was it bad? No. I'm a JRPG guy, so it was fine to me lol that's all I ever expect at these types of directs, and I'm never let down because that's usually what I get. If you're expecting something we obviously weren't likely to get, them yeah expect disappointment.
@@ReagwinplaysRPGsNintendo said their perfectly fine with affecting theor Holiday sales for a switch 2 reveal and I highly doubt it will make people not buy switch games for 7-9 months

This direct was honestly the worst that i have seen in a while. Only good gamw that was shown wasent even a nintendo original it was a partner collab (yakuza kiwami). And the rest is jrpgs. I like jrpgs but sll the ones that were shown are straight up 1:1 copys of other jrpgs's. I would rather not get a direct if i knew these were gonna get showcased😭😭
June Direct felt like and E3 direct in a time E3 isn’t here and we are wanting that feeling, this new direct felt like a way for them to get some stuff out of the way before bigger items being announced! This is just my opinion to each their own happy gaming everyone!!
but wasnt this just a partners direct + indie? what where ppl expecting this was literally to get out a lil bit of spotlight for smaller stuff as soon as i read partner showcase i was like ah so nothing
I understand it’s your opinion and you are negative on jrpgs and such but come on. The direct wasn’t the best of course but it wasn’t the worst of a generation. You are overreacting. I get that indies are your thing but not everyone has to like them. I don’t for the most part. In fact, that indie direct was mostly bad. Not a single game in there I want besides maybe that metal slug game which isn’t an indie ip technically. The partner direct definitely had a few surprises though whether you like them or not. It wasn’t filled with jrpgs but it had plenty. Only had like 1 farming game but I hate farming games 😂. Just saying. I know everyone has their own opinions but come on
there may hav ebeen less "hype" than the last general direct, but that direct had nothing for me, as a JRPG fan. This new double direct, or even just the partner showcase was a really really good one for me: - An incredible remake of the first Trails in the Sky, which also indicates that Falcom FINALLY knows that the west exists AND goes for the OG translation and apparently skips NISA, so al lot of good news with just this announcement - A new Atelier Game that's finally its own new series and not Sophie 3 or Ryza 4 - A Rune Factory with a strong visual Identity - A remaster of Tales of Graces there's also a few cool ports like Suikoden I & II remaster or the remake of the first Yakuza There's also a lot of smaller stuff, free DLC, or ports announcements that are very much welcome
There were much worse/boring directs. Think this time you had to much hopium for something that was obviously going to just be about indie and 3rd party games and nothing else, that it seems terrible due to the letdown.
Well, I am happy if people found their game(s) at this direct, but for me there is an expectation-management issue. For example, personally, as many others, I was expecting some kind of news on any of the following: - Silksong - Dysplaced - new Subnautica Game - New dlc for Dave the diver (and not juste the few crossovers from gamescom) - plucky squire - Stardew valley 1.6 update release date - prince of Persia update and/or new game - FF Tactics - some kind of nice unexpected surprise game(s) - etc etc etc … I mean there was enough stuff where people are waiting News on and got none … which is frustrating and causes disappointments …
and RGG said the Switch is for kids and teens and that is why they didn't put it on Switch. But I guess Sega forced them to do it now. Also Yakuza Kiwami is a PS3/PS4 remake of the original PS2 Yakuza game. And yes it was on PS3 but ONLY in Japan.
Its Nintendo strategy to suck all everything Indie games have, meaning they are really holding back for more and If they don't have Indie games anymore to announce then they will announce next gen console and first party games.
I think the General Direct is when we actually get the real deal stuff… that’s why i wasn’t excited when they announced about a partner case direct and
11:28 The point of a direct is to introduce games to new audiences who may not have otherwise heard of it previously Maybe there are people who say hey I don’t normally play these or I’ve never heard of this but I’ll check it out
Imagine being nearly 8 years into a console, with the new one so obviously being revealed very soon, and complaining that the announcements weren't as good as when the console was at the peak of its life.
I was just surprised to not see an N64 NSO update, I was actually thinking that would be reasonable to see such updates as Conker to NSO and even DK64 to NSO. Say what you will regarding the latter, but I thought it was reasonable for three reasons. First it shares a similar situation to Endless Ocean Luminous where it was developed by a different company, in DK64’s case, Rare, and Nintendo is the publisher. Second, speaking of Rare, Rare could be considered a partner given that last partner showcase showed us Rare games were on the table. Third, DK64’s ost is getting a revamp, which was announced last Friday, helmed by Grant Kirkhope, and it was my thought that Nintendo was waiting for such a moment as this to go ahead and drop DK64 as a means to capitalize on the hype via a drop of said game to NSO. But what do I know right? It’s not like Nintendo wouldn’t have seen a good jump in its sub count doing such a drop. Nintendo is always right and so disciplined I guess, for what that’s freaking worth 🤷♂️ Now that Nintendo decided not to do that said DK64 drop, I truly am at a loss as to what Nintendo could actually be waiting on. And as for Conker, well that one kind of explains itself as I’m sure Nintendo would want to entice ppl to use the MA N64 part NSO and I’m sure they’d have gotten decent increases to their sub count for that! But nope, screw that I guess, Nintendo goes its own way, damn what the fans want 😅
Partner Showcase Directs are always smaller in scale compared to regular, full blown Directs and even more so than Direct Minis but that's honestly not a bad thing...... The Switch still has a killer lineup coming up for the rest of this year and early next year and today's Indie World/Partner Showcase both had some really nice things shown. A juicy variety that has something for everyone and while its not like the BIG Nintendo things they have previously teased, that alone doesn't make today's Direct a bad one, especially since we are pretty much in the last phase of the Switch's life of it being THE main Nintendo console (its normal for big flagship titles to be drastically scaled back during a console's final phase as the primary system)..... Partner Showcases are only bad if you overhype yourself, expecting Nintendo to go nuts with them. Not every game shown will appeal to everyone but still. It's more of a C- or C+ in my eyes
Question Zach: why would they announce something like a Kirby when this was a, lets say it together, "A Partner Showcase?" Meaning, NOT Nintendo franchises, but 3rd party franchises!
Brother, not only did we get a release date for the MvC collection, we got a reveal of all those other beautiful gems in the new Capcom Collection. Toss on another look at DQ3, and this was just fine. Calling *this* the worst direct? When we had that mess with countless farming sims a while back? I don't think so.
To be fair, it felt more like they tried to get some stuff out before they bring in actual exciting stuff, whitch we'll hopefully see in the September Direct. Also, we need Silksong.
Something went wrong at the end there was you talking twice Zach and it extended a longer than normal I think at least there was your voice and another of your voice
Literally nobody expected it to be a big direct. You hype yourself to the max every time and I literally don’t remember the last time you came away super happy from a Direct.
There have been actual Nintendo Directs I've been incredibly disappointed by. This one didn't disappoint me. New Patrick Star game, MySims on Switch. I'm satisfied.
MySims Cozy Bundle was the only game announced that got me excited. I used to play MySims on the DS when I was 16 and I was hooked on that game. I didn't think that series was ever coming back because of stuff I heard like the staff that worked on it not being at EA, but just like with the Mario & Luigi series, it miraculously made a surprise return on the Switch. I agree that this was the weakest Direct yet since there was barely any must-have games for me, but MySims and the Patrick Star game are the two I have the most interest in.
Cod, gta 5 or a Microsoft NSO announcement could have saved the year. Nintendo said they wanted to finish the switch out strong instead the last direct just fizzled. Only Nintendo
yeah zach this direct was very Jrpg heavy which was a dream come true for weebs like me. very sorry about that😅😅dont worry we still got 4 months so think there's going to be 1 or 2 more directs left this year. i'm sure there's going to stuff for you in those.
It was OK, nothing more, nothing less. you gotta keep your expectations in check, you get overhyped for no reason and get burned when the it doesn't meet your expectations and it's like that with every direct. That's the problem with most nintendo youtubers.

Yes the direct was boring I expected it to be but the huge announcement they made was what they didn’t say
It’s coming sooner than we expect
Bruh, you're WRONG
Dude you gotta get your shit together. You make fake hype videos about nonsense games then act bummed over this direct which 8 years into a lifecycle was insanely good.
So you haven’t seen the explanation video.
New to the channel?
@@viviorko no ive been watching for a while
Not at all. Dq3 looks amazing, release date for suikoden, peglin, trails games, atelier, rune factory, my sims it literally had stuff for everyone. Not saying it was the best ever or even close but it was solid
@@Ninjaplease636 , fake videos is how he is going to make money until the new system.
Ruining the community with repeating lies from X and then we all get crushed.
Do something else with the channel.
You represent the bad Nintendo fans
It’s because your interests are a dud. RPGs, fighting games, Yakuza, and some others were great. Indie was the weakest part.
Actually I disagree I think it was stronger but I love indies myself
You do this bullshit all the time man. You hype up direct rumors and leaks and when the show finally comes around, if it’s not heavy first party titles, you run on here and post these videos. Goin on 3 years of this now man cmon 😂
Pizza Tower.
Bro this is more than normal the switch is in the end of its life cicle what do you expect?
This was one of the best 3rd party direct with great games? 😮
Personally I didn’t care for this direct, but I’m not complaining. It’s clear to me that Nintendo is getting their 3rd party announcements out of the way so they can reveal the Switch 2 as soon as next month
I like it but then again you can just play more than two series
You can tell no one watched this video because no comments about the audio issues near the end.
immediately came to the comments to look for this LOL
thought my Chromebook was playing another video.
Mabye because no one cares about an audio issue....?
@@Thorfin09 All I was saying was that I thought something was wrong with my device.
@RaithGyaron i wasent responding to you i was replying to the guy who made the comment
People complain more about the Fall directs because it is tailored to Tokyo Game Show. Last few years lots of cozy farm and life sims and JRPGs…..Nintendo partners moving on….but it’s not as bad as the first partner showcase in Covid times….Power Stone
Interesting context. Still not very exciting.
So, you would be opposed to something like Jedi: Fallen Order coming to Nintendo‘s next system being featured in a future direct, since it Harkins back to 2019?
This was a decent direct. If you don't know how to do accurate predictions, which many others did, you should probably blame yourself.
A lot of his frustration does absolutely cime from his own overhyped expectations, I can't even call them leaks
Tetris is iconic what’s wrong with Tetris
I'm sorry, but most people knew they were going to be remix and remasters. And old school games at this direct. What do you expect at this stage in the game for the switch?
Ive seen worse indi directs.
I think you're just upset bc Nintendo isn't giving you enough hype for views.
Not the best but there have been worse. We are not getting anymore big announcements for switch. Those will all be for switch 2.
It was bad, but your expectations were way out of line. I think this was expected
No. How about you like the JRPGs. They’re great.
I like JRPGs, just not the ones that were shown for the first time today
Lots of straw maning going on in this comment section.
Zack never said he expected big Nintendo first party titles he was just disappointed with the partner showcase as many previous leaks were untrue.
Which makes you wonder why anyone even takes leaks into consideration. 90% of the time these leaks end up being false, which makes them not leaks since leaks are actual pieces of information not officially made known yet. Therefore, a rumor, which again, why are these people getting themselves hyped up on rumors?
Dude looks like he hasn't slept properly in a while. Maybe lay off the hopium??
That doesn't explain the whole video he made dedicated talking about how switch 2 will be in this partner direct. Like what😭
@@casonlalala I don't think he said that. Those showcases are know for games only. Not hardware
@@ZamWeazle he did. watch the video, click the link
Let me guess, it’s because they didn’t announce silk song 🙄
The switch is finished,
Nintendo is releasing shovelware to drag the switch to the end of 2024.😂
I agree that this direct sucked but Zack, you have got to stop acting like everyone has other systems to play on.
It's mine apart from my tablet
Didnt expect anything yet still disappointed. Bruh
The world and Nintendo doesn’t revolve around you.
The direct was a complete letdown, for sure. I agree with you there. Cool meeting you yesterday man, completely caught me off guard!
How short is he?
No. How about you like JRPGs. They’re great.
Was it the best? No. Was it bad? No. I'm a JRPG guy, so it was fine to me lol that's all I ever expect at these types of directs, and I'm never let down because that's usually what I get. If you're expecting something we obviously weren't likely to get, them yeah expect disappointment.
What did you expect? We weren't gonna have a Hardware-focused Direct talking about the Switch Successor until December!
I'd say September or October
@@langstonbelinNo. I would say after the holidays. They don’t want it to affect the holiday sales.
@@ReagwinplaysRPGsNintendo said their perfectly fine with affecting theor Holiday sales for a switch 2 reveal and I highly doubt it will make people not buy switch games for 7-9 months
Zach thinking every game should revolve around him strikes again
The point of a direct is to introduce games to new audiences who may not have otherwise heard of it previously
Maybe there are people who say hey I don’t normally play these or I’ve never heard of this but I’ll check it out
Bro wtf?! Nah this guy is insane honestly
Yeah. he sounds very salty bruh,
Agreed Zack, totally blew. No NFL Blitz, no Maker 2 DLC haha.
The worst? You're out of your mind, as arpg and fighting game fan, that was an amazing direct.
They didn't announce anything that would get me excited at this point I just going through my back log and preparing myself for the switch 2
It's not bad because some good games like fnaf help wanted 2 and ruin dlc fnaf ds Castlevania games Capcom fight 2 and give this direct 7/10.
but wasnt this just a partners direct + indie?
what where ppl expecting this was literally to get out a lil bit of spotlight for smaller stuff
as soon as i read partner showcase i was like
ah so nothing
Fantastic Direct. Lots of great stuff to get excited about. :)
Pizza Tower
Tetris Forever
Capcom Fighting Collection
Castlevania Collection
Dragon Quest and Suikoden
Yakuza
Are you addicted to L takes?
This new double direct, or even just the partner showcase was a really really good one for me:
- An incredible remake of the first Trails in the Sky, which also indicates that Falcom FINALLY knows that the west exists AND goes for the OG translation and apparently skips NISA, so al lot of good news with just this announcement
- A new Atelier Game that's finally its own new series and not Sophie 3 or Ryza 4
- A Rune Factory with a strong visual Identity
- A remaster of Tales of Graces
there's also a few cool ports like Suikoden I & II remaster or the remake of the first Yakuza
There's also a lot of smaller stuff, free DLC, or ports announcements that are very much welcome
There were much worse/boring directs. Think this time you had to much hopium for something that was obviously going to just be about indie and 3rd party games and nothing else, that it seems terrible due to the letdown.
Well, I am happy if people found their game(s) at this direct, but for me there is an expectation-management issue.
For example, personally, as many others, I was expecting some kind of news on any of the following:
- Silksong
- Dysplaced
- new Subnautica Game
- New dlc for Dave the diver (and not juste the few crossovers from gamescom)
- plucky squire
- Stardew valley 1.6 update release date
- prince of Persia update and/or new game
- FF Tactics
- some kind of nice unexpected surprise game(s)
- etc etc etc …
I mean there was enough stuff where people are waiting News on and got none … which is frustrating and causes disappointments …
Zack, you over hype too much. But Yakuza was a mic drop. Because sega original thought of putting on the wii u.
and RGG said the Switch is for kids and teens and that is why they didn't put it on Switch.
I think the General Direct is when we actually get the real deal stuff… that’s why i wasn’t excited when they announced about a partner case direct and
STALKER COLLECTION
CAPCOM FIGHTING COLLECTION 2
MARVEL VS CAPCOM COLLECTION
CASTLEVANIA DS COLLECTION
TETRIS FOREVER
TAILS
11:28 The point of a direct is to introduce games to new audiences who may not have otherwise heard of it previously
Maybe there are people who say hey I don’t normally play these or I’ve never heard of this but I’ll check it out
Imagine being nearly 8 years into a console, with the new one so obviously being revealed very soon, and complaining that the announcements weren't as good as when the console was at the peak of its life.
I agree. I wanted to see my predictions appear. :(
Partner Showcase Directs are always smaller in scale compared to regular, full blown Directs and even more so than Direct Minis but that's honestly not a bad thing......
How well did the predictions work out?
It wasn't bad 🤣 Capcom and Yakuza was big
For me I fully expected them to just clear the decks and save the big hitters for later.
How classic of you
If you don’t like the game that is shown here, the game isn’t for you, its for someone else.-Pointcrow 2024
What about Sponge Bob, Bro? Scott the Woz will be freakin' ECSTATIC.
Feelings all hurt lol i dont pay attention to these i just see what was talked about..it wasnt a Nintendo direct..partners and indi what do you expect
Something went wrong at the end there was you talking twice Zach and it extended a longer than normal I think at least there was your voice and another of your voice
In general as a whole yes it sucked big time what a let down. The second direct
My massive hope for Switch 2 is more from Frome Software. In fact their entire back catalogue.
I'd also take Gamecube
I want the switch to last 2 years longer to get more games
Literally nobody expected it to be a big direct. You hype yourself to the max every time and I literally don’t remember the last time you came away super happy from a Direct.
14:50 is it just my UA-cam being messed up, or is there double audio here?
More games than usual were of interest to me.
I thought it sucked.
