  • This is the cabin of the well known elder Jimmy Kane was Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and is said to have lived to 110 years old. He starred in the movie “Challenge To Be Free” as Old Tracks. He lived in Klukshu (a nearby village) Dezadeash and Dalton Post (checkout my video on it, link below) and to my knowledge this was his trappers cabin. This cabin is near the historical Dezadeash Lodge, formerly Beloud Post and buffers the Kluane National Park. If you want more Yukon content, please subscribe!

What a beautiful region Kluane is in the wide, open spaces of The Yukon Territory. How blessed Elder Jimmy Kane was if he did live to be 110 years. It must have something to do with the clean air and water to be found in the beautiful Far North. So amazing that his cabin is still to be found, sheltered among the trees, so many years later. This great video with calming music makes one slow down and appreciate nature.

Yeah it sure is a awesome looking rustic cabin. My family actually owns a property near this area and it's some beautiful country. This cabin is in the Kluane National Park region which contains some of the highest peaks in North America and has vast lands of forests. It really is one of Canada's best kept secrets!
