I was about to close the video at the end then suddenly realized that name Bobby S sounds familiar. Was thinking wow another similar name, then realized it’s me 🙈. Thanks man for mentioning my name. I know it’s not much, but keep making great contents and people will come.
Some nitpicks/discussion points on things that I can now have an opinion on since I've lived in Shenzhen for a bit 1) I'd say that the top districts by far are Nanshan, Futian and Bao'an. And I think you are underselling the other two a bit. Bao'an is a fair bit cheaper than Futian and Nanshan but still close enough to everything that it isn't much of a hassle to take the metro or even taxi to get anywhere you want. Futian is still quite a popping district with lots to do and overall closer to everywhere else in the city (if you wanted to go up north, go to Hong Kong pre-CoVid etc). I'd go as far to say that if you live within these 3 and are within a reasonable commute to work, then where exactly you live doesn't matter that much since public transportation in Shenzhen rocks. 2) I don't think food costs are negligible. Even if you spend 33 yuan per meal (assume 外卖) you are still spending 3000 a month. And it's really easy to go over that just by buying snacks or any sort of Western cuisine. Cheap Chinese food isn't all that great (not bad, but just not really something you wanna eat too often) and plenty of Western ingredients are expensive. I recently looked at how much I spend on food and was completely over what I thought I was spending. Anyway, sick video!
@@thejamescorwin the visa process is quite complicated, so many of these language schools and institutions are very unprofessional in their application process for admitting students. So I have to pay a whole lot more just to ensure everything is done correctly.
Your narration is getting a lot better and smoother! looking forward for more Shenzhen stuff!
Good to hear! It must have been pretty terrible at the beginning, huh 😹
@@thejamescorwin I did like the randomness though 😂 has some element of surprise!

Can any foreigner can buy Flat in Shenzhen whitout citizenship????
Yes, but foreigners don’t have the right to get bank loans like Chinese people, so you have to pay like 70% cash or something ridiculous like that.
