did Endeavour climb anyone else's favourite character list by quite a lot or just me? He went from someone I didn't really care much for to definitely my top 3.
The best thing about this episode is that it makes you imagine how easily Endeavor could have turn into a villain for the pursuit of power, but instead shows that he is willing to burn down that path and his errors.
I'm almost Positive Endeavor is just a poor communicator/work-a-holic overwhelmed by stress who everyone thought he just wanted to be number 1 but there was way more to the story. I think he ultimately knew if he was #2 by age 20 and still couldn't compare to All Might, that society needed more heroes of that caliber to maintain safety status quo. I think there's some bigger tragedy that caused their family to fall apart that the kids were too young to understand and Enji couldn't fix what he broke when he did strike his wife. It wasn't that he didn't want to fix it just that he had no right to request that from his family he wronged, he should have been better and controlled his strength and used words but he snapped. Until the mountain known as All Might crumbled, he realized he will forever have imposter syndrome and never truly be number 1 and all of his efforts were at the cost of what he cared about most his family, he grew up in that moment. He is a great material provider, but the hero his family needs is simply, Dad not "Endeavor". Shoto says when he's super young he wants to be a hero and likely would not have survived against Stain without his father's training his mother trying to shield him from the realities of life would have only endangered him. There obviously is a happy in-between for training but they never talked it over. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt against the basic villians in S1 during the invasion. Honestly his dad knows the real dangers of their society he's been dealing with them everyday for over 10 years. His son says he wants to be an hero he knows what it takes, the word HERO to Endeavor means something just like it means something specific to Stain, likely "All Might" since he doesn't compare his son to himself but "the best". Its not until we actually get his point of view we can realize this man can't save the ones he loves despite being "the number 1 hero". Its not until his family actually see's what he's dealt with potentially everyday he's called into action that they realize he isn't a monster but is a human. The Todoroki's are all fucking terrible communicators with one another and that's the beauty of the dysfunction that makes their story so compelling. Lastly we have no idea how Enji was raised if this was just "the norm" for him what if he was raised by abusive people and didnt realize he was repeating the cycle? There's more to this family's tale for sure.
Endeavor is the best example of the motif, "anyone can become a hero". He is a man who must replace a god (All Might). He may lack the insurmountable power of All Might, but his will, his obstinance, and his ambition make him the new unbeatable symbol of hope.

True. Izuku was crushed by the weight of that sentence, putting it as 'he's saying he's used up all he had', but in reality, I believe the pro heroes are the ones who truly understood it. Izuku cried a day, and went back to training. Endeavor, for months, was conflicted by the weight. Searching for what he can do now. No one understood more than him that he couldn't replace All Might, the symbol of peace. Even young heroes such as Hawks realized what weight had fallen upon the heroes
What's crazy is his desire to be the strongest and how he has let that go to be a better person. But what is more amazing to me is that he will never know that he was already the strongest hero out there compared to normal heroes. All mights quirk is the accumulation of power from past users and All For Ones quirk allows him multiple quirks and can combine them. Their power and strength is not normal by any means. Endeavor on the other hand is using his one natural born quirk and has climbed to try and be greater than power that took generations to build. A losing battle from the start. Because of it he has reached power levels that I can confidently say no one of normal means has ever reached. In my eyes that makes him the strongest out of any hero to date. And if the secret of All For One is kept.. then Endeavour will never know that. He will always live believing he couldn't be the strongest.
But endeavour fire power is better than all mights because it can land a decisive blow unlike knocking someone like AFO. In this fight high-end was stronger& faster than USJ nomu who was as strong and fast as all might, not mention allmight had to use his 100%+ultra power to send that now in the sky 400m away only. That means Endeavour is equally fast and strong as allMight was the only thing he lacked was stamina (unable to use his quirk for a long).

Endeavour with the help of hawks reached high ends speed and surpassed high-end reaction time , lets be honest endeavour even without hawks, he still would have won as hawks so many times says "i can't be much of help now" , "my feathers are already cindered" This fight explains everything why he was behind AllMight and reason is stamina and from that i mean unable to use his quirk in a long battle because it slows him down or deteriorated him He was as fast as high-end who was equally matched in speed with Hawks who is faster than AllMight (read the data book). His fire power is overwhelming if not greater than allMight then it is equal and most importantly he can land a finishing blow unlike all might who only knocks his enemy out. But what endeavour lacking is stamina to use his quirk that is why he had shoto! Who could use Ice quirk to cool his body and surpass allMight.
My opinion is that fight of AFO and All might was like a battle between gods, so strong but yet so far. Endeavor is like the strongest mortal to try to stand in for a retired God like being.

The fact that Hawks didnt say "number one" in the dub and instead said "this is it" was the greatest injustice But this tribute was the greatest justice to Endeavour
Thats why watching a dub destroys the anime. I watched FMA dub the first time, and i thought it was a shit show. Thankfully i kept watching anime, figured out that the dub versions were what made animes sound awkward. A few years back i rewatched FMA and enjoyed it quite a lot. Theres so much depth that got lost in the dub, plus the voice actors trying to imitate japanese shouts and culture of speaking literally makes it unwatchable.
This is why dubs suck ass. Like the dub of MHA is good compared to most others, but there's so much meaning lost in translation it's not even funny. And as good as the voice actors are, they are still worse at transmitting emotion and making the moment. Plus english dubs always feel the need to use filling sounds which sometimes lessens the impact of moments that would have been more powerful with silence. It doesn't help that western voice actors are used to animated series as lighthearted kids series and as such approach them entirely differently than japanese VAs. Always, always, always take sub over dub. Because even the good dubs like those of FMA:B or BNHA are so much inferior.
Unpopular opinion: Endeavour was always my number 1 hero. Crazy strong quirk, sick costume and solved the most cases out of all the heroes including All Might. He actually TRIED to be the greatest hero, his perseverance is testament to that. Where my Endeavour day ones at? 🙋♂️

Endeavor is probably my favorite all-time anime character. What makes him different from everyone else is that he’s not becoming a hero for the fame or glory. He’s doing it for himself because he wants to be a hero.
“The Flames are still burning” is my favorite line from this video. It shows that even though Endeavor isn’t charismatic like All Might was, he still gives people hope. As long as the flame is still burning there is still hope.
All might was the hero who never lost. A man everyone could rely on, and know that once he arrived, it would all be alright. Endeavor doesn’t have that kind of power, but his symbol is of a man who will never give up, he will fight until the very last breath. You can rest easy knowing that he won’t, he’s out there fighting for you.
Funny to see how many people suddenly started liking Endeavor as if they haven't been trashing him from the beginning.. Some fans on the other hand were perfectly aware of his mistakes and misdeeds but kept believing in his redemption from the get-go, and that makes it even more satisfying to watch. Excellent job on this tribute, you rock 🔥
I love how complicated characters are in MHA. Nothings black and white, and Endeavor isn't just some envious guy who was an asshole to his family. Can't wait to see what's next for him and how he'll face the inevitable takeover by Deku
I am a huge fan of endeavor and can relate to him. I see a lot of hatred for him on the internet which is not misplaced because of his past deeds. I literally cried through all this fouth season, it was amazing! And one of those moments was gifted by Endeavour! So... happy to see that you did this tribute to him (i was thinking to do something too but now don't know XD) and you did a very good video, structured really well! It’s a small detail, but I love that Endeavor raises the opposite arm that All Might raised. It’s a nice bit of visual symbolism about how Endeavor is going to be a different kind of #1 than All Might was, as well as the fact that they were at opposite ends of their journeys as number one (All Might’s final message as a fading symbol of peace, and Endeavors triumphant declaration as the new number one).
After getting a deeper look into enki's circumstances I almost feel sorry for him. For he who ENDEVORed to climb to the absolute peak of the hero world only to find himself standing at the top, not because he succeeded to reach untold heights but because the tallest mountain was cut to bellow where he had climbed.
I always respect Endeaovar same as all mighty. He is man of determination. He is man who trying to correct his past mistakes. He is worthy for being no 1 hero after all mighty 💯

All Might was the symbol of peace , and an image and symbol of what a hero should aspire to be. Endeavour is the most human of them all, he is far from perfect, far from being the strongest but he gives his all and in that he is a symbol of hope
That last touch with the All Might scene and its epic quality portrayed onto Endeavour is iconic. The AMV's on this channel are probably my most favourite

To me, Endeavor is like Cristiano Ronaldo in football. He might know that he will never grab the title of the greatest footballer ever since his rival Messi is most likely the person crowned for the title. And yet Ronaldo's mentality remains solid. He is the ONLY player that is putting extra effort to make rivalry between him and messi. They both are at the top for so many years and no one else in this era comes close. Its the same with endeavour vs allmight situation. I also feel like Messi is more loved by many because of his playstyle and humbleness (allmight is more adored) while a lot of people dislike Ronaldo for his arrogance (im not saying everyone loves messi and nobody likes ronaldo because a lot do). All my opinion btw feel free to share yours
Kobe and Lebron vs Jordan is also a good comparison. They both follow the "Ghost of Chicago"'s legacy and work TIRELESSLY to catch it, but he's just too far ahead. They are amazing for their own legacy, just like Endeavour. On my list Ronaldo is the goat tho
As somebody with a shitty father, endeavour’s redemption arc has been one of my favourites. It makes me both happy and sad seeing how far he’s come, seeing his own mistakes and trying to do right by them. It hits right in the daddy issues and I always get emotional watching it.

This fight explains everything why he was behind AllMight and reason is stamina and from that i mean unable to use his quirk in a long battle because it slows him down or deteriorated him
He was as fast as high-end who was equally matched in speed with Hawks who is faster than AllMight (read the data book).
His fire power is overwhelming if not greater than allMight then it is equal and most importantly he can land a finishing blow unlike all might who only knocks his enemy out.
But what endeavour lacking is stamina to use his quirk that is why he had shoto! Who could use Ice quirk to cool his body and surpass allMight.
I legit liked this confrontation more than AFO vs All Might. It was so emotional, and the video captured exactly why. Thank you for the AMV!
My opinion is that fight of AFO and All might was like a battle between gods, so strong but yet so far. Endeavor is like the strongest mortal to try to stand in for a retired God like being.

@@yuvue843 Exactly, that's the difference between All Might's symbol and Endeavor's symbol. All Might was a god who couldn't lose. Endeavor is just a man who's powers can't be compared to All Might's, but his will/ambition is what makes him unbeatable.
The fact that Hawks didnt say "number one" in the dub and instead said "this is it" was the greatest injustice
But this tribute was the greatest justice to Endeavour
OMG you're kidding me?! That's like,the ultimate encouragement to Endeavor. And to think, I used to like dubbed over subbed. 🤦
Thats why watching a dub destroys the anime. I watched FMA dub the first time, and i thought it was a shit show. Thankfully i kept watching anime, figured out that the dub versions were what made animes sound awkward. A few years back i rewatched FMA and enjoyed it quite a lot. Theres so much depth that got lost in the dub, plus the voice actors trying to imitate japanese shouts and culture of speaking literally makes it unwatchable.
This is why dubs suck ass. Like the dub of MHA is good compared to most others, but there's so much meaning lost in translation it's not even funny. And as good as the voice actors are, they are still worse at transmitting emotion and making the moment. Plus english dubs always feel the need to use filling sounds which sometimes lessens the impact of moments that would have been more powerful with silence. It doesn't help that western voice actors are used to animated series as lighthearted kids series and as such approach them entirely differently than japanese VAs.
Always, always, always take sub over dub. Because even the good dubs like those of FMA:B or BNHA are so much inferior.
Unpopular opinion: Endeavour was always my number 1 hero. Crazy strong quirk, sick costume and solved the most cases out of all the heroes including All Might. He actually TRIED to be the greatest hero, his perseverance is testament to that.

Jason black solving cases and defeating villains are two different things all Might single hand-idly bought the crime down to 1%
@@mrnur1910 I'd argue that All Might's true power didn't lie in his ludicrous strength, but the ability to inspire others and demoralize villains. He was the symbol, but not a symbol of strength like Endeavor. He was a symbol of peace, a shining beacon of true heroism in the face of it all.

Endeavor is probably my favorite all-time anime character. What makes him different from everyone else is that he’s not becoming a hero for the fame or glory. He’s doing it for himself because he wants to be a hero.

“The Flames are still burning” is my favorite line from this video. It shows that even though Endeavor isn’t charismatic like All Might was, he still gives people hope. As long as the flame is still burning there is still hope.

Endeavor doesn’t have that kind of power, but his symbol is of a man who will never give up, he will fight until the very last breath. You can rest easy knowing that he won’t, he’s out there fighting for you.
They went from a symbol of peace to light of hope, they're not in peace right now, Endeavor is exactly what they need from now on.

Funny to see how many people suddenly started liking Endeavor as if they haven't been trashing him from the beginning.. Some fans on the other hand were perfectly aware of his mistakes and misdeeds but kept believing in his redemption from the get-go, and that makes it even more satisfying to watch.

It’s a small detail, but I love that Endeavor raises the opposite arm that All Might raised. It’s a nice bit of visual symbolism about how Endeavor is going to be a different kind of #1 than All Might was, as well as the fact that they were at opposite ends of their journeys as number one (All Might’s final message as a fading symbol of peace, and Endeavors triumphant declaration as the new number one).
All might and Endeavor are my favorite characters in the entire show...... Nobody ever comes close to these two....
After getting a deeper look into enki's circumstances I almost feel sorry for him.
For he who ENDEVORed to climb to the absolute peak of the hero world only to find himself standing at the top, not because he succeeded to reach untold heights but because the tallest mountain was cut to bellow where he had climbed.
This was incredible, summing up Endeavour's struggle throughout the entire manga in such a masterful way.

To me, Endeavor is like Cristiano Ronaldo in football. He might know that he will never grab the title of the greatest footballer ever since his rival Messi is most likely the person crowned for the title. And yet Ronaldo's mentality remains solid. He is the ONLY player that is putting extra effort to make rivalry between him and messi. They both are at the top for so many years and no one else in this era comes close. Its the same with endeavour vs allmight situation. I also feel like Messi is more loved by many because of his playstyle and humbleness (allmight is more adored) while a lot of people dislike Ronaldo for his arrogance (im not saying everyone loves messi and nobody likes ronaldo because a lot do). All my opinion btw feel free to share yours

As somebody with a shitty father, endeavour’s redemption arc has been one of my favourites. It makes me both happy and sad seeing how far he’s come, seeing his own mistakes and trying to do right by them. It hits right in the daddy issues and I always get emotional watching it.
The new number one hero! It is not easy taking that spot! But this man can do everything! Lets go Endeavour!
