Loved the book, which is light and humorous unlike other Hardy books I've read. Also loved the authentic West Country narration. Under the Greenwood Tree kept me entertained during a long drive - thanks Rachel!
This was a delightful respite from all the bad news! You did a great job of creating each character. Far superior to the usual wooden Librivox readings!!
@@mrswinkyuk Doing great, thanks, and hope you're the same. Yes, sadly, the picture has grown darker today, and we need good literature more than ever to give us hope.
Great reading, but my preference would have been a male reader ,for a male author.probably because my grandfather played in such a band and I could have related to it better.
I'm having a really hard time understanding this woman. Her voice is muffled and her English accent is actually kind of hard to understand, at least for me. I couldn't get through it.

Beautifully done and learning so much about life at that time, thankyou.
Great book and the reader was perfectly suited to the narration. Well done! Thank you!
Love the novel with its beautiful nature descriptions and love story. Enjoyed the reading with some West-country dialect.😀💖
Can you help me

An enchanting country tale. Very well done!
Thanks enjoyed and good reader.
Rachel Lintern does a wonderful job with narration! I have listened to all of her LibriVox recordings and I would love to hear more.
To bypass prefaces Chapter 1 begins at 6:40.

A bit disappointed with the novel. Weakest content for Hardy.
