As soon as you said the time it would take to make them, my thought was "Those are going to be $70 with labor and materials." I guess I wasn't that far off on my guess. I'm glad that you were honest in the process about the costs.
I get lots of requests for builds and people just don't understand that a custom build takes time and isn't cheap. I thought I should show the process. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch what I do here!
That's why custom can never compete with mass injection molding. Thanks so much for coming by Don. It was a little busy this week so I will be sending your prize to you on Monday
He Eric... I love this design. I love the one you made me. It does an amazing job. I have found some of my littlest fish in them but never dead. It seems I got there in time. Great video!! You make it all look so easy!! Have a great day!!
I must admit im always worried as you cut ,, thank goodness you have a *calming voice . Great combonation lol Oh i saw NYGOLD won that cool custom tank!!! Sorry i wasnt able to comment on that video i watched it on a tv device 🙏
Great seeing you Cop! I probably won't be showing any more cutting until I make the cross cut sled. I get too many "you shouldn't do it that way comments" . Thanks so much for coming by!
Hey Fishman, I live in N.B. and was curious if you ever thought about selling this as a DIY glue up kit? I want to learn to work with acrlic but not sure I want to jump full on into it, as I would only be doing it as a hobby and would need to get a saw just to get my feet wet.
You read my mind on the height of the sawblade! Out of curiosity what kind of blade is it? For acrylics you should be using a triple chip grind TCG tooth geometry.
When I was going to start breading guppies I had a great deal of difficulty getting my starter fish that would thrive in the tap water we have here. I wanted them to do well in just as it comes out of the tap because it's too much work to adjust all of my client's tanks for every type of fish. I finally have a good line going here that does very well. The TDS is very low here. Thanks for watching
I am not a fan of Patreon because of the percentage Patreon takes from you. Could we simply send money directly to you? Thanks for all your work and ideas. Fred O
Hey Fred! 14% is quite the cut for sure. I have to pick one method though as I don't want it to be confusing for people and have anyone think they aren't having their fair chance in the draws.
I will be doing an intro video for that shortly. Basically for a dollar or two a month a ballot will be created and when I have enough money to cover the expense of building and shipping a custom build I will have a draw and the winner gets to have it for a dollar or two instead of having to pay for the whole thing.
Sorry. When I started doing UA-cam I found that there was already many channels making things out of bottles and using simple household utensils. I thought I would try something different. Let me know if you would like to see some simpler builds
@@FishmanEricRussell Thank you for your kind answer .. The generation of machines use acrylic carving and drilling and give very beautiful results But not everyone owned it .. Another guppy splosion? Lucky guy! Great video!

Looking forward to seeing how you hide the filters ... always good to see how different people tackle common aquarium dilemmas.
Thanks so much and for taking the time to watch!
Can’t wait to you hide the filters. Gotta love those guppies lol
Guppies guppies everywhere lol! Thanks for tuning in
Another great video
Much appreciated!
Good work as always
Thanks so much!
Very well done!
Thanks so much!
You make it look so easy! It's amazing how places in China can knock these out for under $10 a pop.
Your right but thier boxes are made of super cheap thin plastic that break super easy.

Very good video, interesting. Wish you luck, my friend.
Thanks so much Brantov!
Awesome....👍
Thanks guys!
just awesome
Thanks so much!
Awesome video, as always great editing and vocal directions while video plays. Where do you order your acrylic?
I'm so glad you like my videos! Unfortunately I get my acrylic locally.

Can you give a detailed description of the internal box and the cavity around it and how it all works together?
That's too much for a comment as it would be a book. I will try and remember to cover that when I talk about these filters next. Sorry

Is there a website to follow for specific instructions... or how can I order a diatom filter system from you ?
a neat share, i love it.. have a blessed day
Thanks so much Raliegh!

Hey Tom! Great seeing you! I can't afford more than a couple of blades, so I just use a quality general purpose blade and keep them sharp.
cheers

What's the TDS of your guppy tank? Great job BTW!!!

@@FishmanEricRussell Ok great to hear! Yeah, my TDS coming out of the tap is almost 220 and that's municipal water.
What solvent do you use for assembly?
Methylene chloride
