I'm building out my portfolio. I Charge between $400-$1,500 for web design or revisioning.
Hello guys, when I first started, I build my portfolio on projects that were a few grand
Thank you, Ran!
This is for development work, so not really doing much design, sometimes being a bit creative, but not much.
Normally, around £45 an hour, do sometimes do set rates, but a majority of work is "shit this needs fixing asap"
I made few websites for 500$, now am charging 1k - 2k per website.
This is actually very helpful 🙌
Thanks Ransegal, so informative
Would be good to know what the client went for in the end. The high prices on some of these quotes would seem to be a lot for a start up??
depends on how much money the startup raised, can be alot or very reasonable
Thank you for this informative video. Are these quotes including UI/UX from that Web Design quote? Or is it literally only the design?
You can see the breakdown in the proposals
Love your Vid Ran, thanks a lot. It's nice to see your Community and Channel growing. And just another sidequestion: Where can I get these fancy acoustic foam mats in your back? ^^
Local shop. But you can probably find them on Amazon
Thank you so much Ran!!! 🤟
thanks for such content!
Thank you for sharing your insights about pricing, I must say I am impressed by those 30k websites I wonder what they look like.
check out the awwwards
Usually £4-15k for the website and around the same, maybe a bit less for the branding over here
Thanks for the video!
When I garduate from College I charge my first client $100, now everytime I remember I cringe hahaha. Now I think that easily I could have charged 3k or more...
Me roughly around 3k++, but yeah also been working on 10k-20k web projects.
Would've liked to know which one he went with and what the results are.
Can’t shared unfortunately
@@FluxAcademy oh I completely understand but that would’ve been an amazing process to see as well.
Thanks for sharing!
Maybe a video on how to choose the right agency for you in terms of these offers you’ve shown?
very helpful thank you!
Hello flux studio, I want to ask a question about webflow pricing
What should be the hourly rate for a freelancer??
What programs do you use to do web design?
Being from a 3rd world, these are prices we can only dream of. If you charge over $500 you better have a really good plan for striking the top of the market clients who btw did I mention its a 3rd wold? so corruption is super high a big company will have officials that'll right out the box just hire a family member or close friend so unless you're that, its super tuff to break in.
Might try to up my charges but idk how that'll go. The most I've made was $120 from a project with exactly 8 pages. Did it within Wordpress, they had the logo already or that would have been an extra $5 lol but yea that's what prices are like around here. Cant blame people that take the chance to outsource labor from here cause there's skill and ambition but the market just doesn't care about all that.
Which country are you from?
@@ahurein1641 Zuid Afrika, south Africa and it’s corrupt unless you’re well connected from early on.
@@hoodiegamer9256 I have a first experience of what you're talking about. I'm from Ghana. I can't imagine charging anyone 2000$ from here for e-commerce lol.. I charged 150$ for the site I'm working on now
@@ahurein1641 yea it be that way lmao I see Americans charging $1500 for a 3 page site that takes less than 2 hours to make.
@@hoodiegamer9256 I've been asking where they get their clients. $1000 for 10 pages wouldn't be bad lol
Great video! Can I sell high priced websites without going to college?
So far i made only one paid website for 700euros, now I am making my second one for 2350. I am using webflow, and in total i made 3 real websites.. i did a One year web design course. Do you think i am charging the right amount ?
I think you're in the right growth trajectory!!
@@FluxAcademy Thank's !
How do you get your clients
@@ahurein1641 With my website stefanodesigner.com and contacts !
@@stefanofresch that is awesome...I have seen your website too...am inspired. Thanks.
Can you share the names of the companies that provided these proposals?
Damn I definitely need to raise my prices now 😭🤣
Recently, I heard a good Jewish joke apropos when we discussing prices. "Moshe, where did you get such a nice watch. Answer: My father sold me when he was dying."
Best salesman joke! 🤣🤣🤣
Which agency did you pull the proposal from with the cycle split into two phases?
I don't feel it's appropriate to share as this can be regarded as confidential by them..
Right now creating a website for €200,-. Think I got to scale it up
Thank you
you quote the client - not the work he wants
LOL these are "too big for your pants" agencies, REAL LOCAL web design ranges from simple page: 200 usd to 800us ecommerce.
if a local agency is charging you more, you are being ripped off, just hire a freelancer and say what your budget is
I don't buy those 5 and 6 figure quotes. Coke aren't paying that for Chrissakes and their sites are about as big as they come.
It would be better to take different sized projects and, after going through the work involved and time spent, then present costings rather than final billings.
I'd love to see the proposal for the Coke Website, if it's less than $500k i'd be really surprised.
@@FluxAcademy The consumer or community part of the Coke project was done by Deveire. For sure they got into 6 figures but hardly $500,000 ...
I guarantee you it's at LEAST 5 figure quotes. I mean most of these cheap people shouldn't even be paying for web designers, and just use Squarespace or some other template websites like the cheap people they are. It's only the big idea man entrepreneur with the big e-peen who wants the world-changing website...at $500 😂and those people can't even tell what a good website even is.
@@edwardroh89 Well I know the company doing the Coke community site had a big (6-10) group on it, some experienced, some grad interns. Java Spring back end, NoSQL database, Git versioning, AWS, etc. They really drove the grads, no overtime. It had to be $50k - $80k. But then they'd get maintenance and makeover work too, that's extra dough.
But I'd love if I am wrong 😁
Um........nope.
Lol I'm charging way less than I should
FIRST LIKE COMMENT!
$1000 for the cheapest???? Heh. Good thing I can make my own website--including logo, design, blahblah--the whole shebang. Lol.
I've been working as a Web Developer/Designer in our Company for almost 2 years now. My role is from scratch to finish (from research to development) and the only programmer.
Seeing this makes me want to kill myself as I am paid less than $3,000/yr :)
A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Take heart.
Who buys this startups?
2nd
My bro charges 250$ ususally!
This would have been more useful if they had been full (and only) web design projects. Clearly some of the prices are for a webpage only, not a website. Very difficult to gain much pricing knowledge from the proposals shown. But thanks for trying.
