I like that you are parting out sets that are not close to the 3x target most sellers use. It should provide you with some pieces that are not in lots of stores.
Thanks. Personally I think the '3x' myth is over hyped - as soon as a set is seen as that everyone jumps on it and brings that value down. I tend to try and balance parting out the things I'm into and things that will add some interesting variety and allow me to see what other kind of parts are selling well.
Thanks for these interesting part out videos:) I haven't bought this set, already max out my credit card \(゚ー゚\) Also I noticed that too,( 7:00 ) about a year ago... Some stores would put random parts or minifigs at over $1000.. I had a whine about it in the BL forum and got chastised for it.. Some saying I should contact the stores and not ask why they would do that on the forum...
@@Guy.Fleegman a recent discovery for me in doing these videos and diving a bit deeper on the pricing and how it gets screwed. I assume it’s a ploy to price out the lazy uploading stores using defaults? But does seem a very odd tactic.
I was selling Silver and Gold coins but got scammed a few times and was happy the Bricklink community was so honest...but... I did get scammed again here with a buyer of a UCS Xwing, that had a bs address and got his c/c to pay him back. But also went to the local post office to pick it up and I had to pay his express shipping and the set for free ffs... so I recommend not shipping big sets unless it is going to an accurate address. So my point is there are a few dodgy people on bricklink now...
@@TheDreamtimezzz good question, new parts - as in first time seen have been pretty rare for me I’d say. New colours occasionally maybe a couple of times a year but new parts in a handful of sets - I can think of less than half a dozen this year so far in the sets I’ve seen.

Thank you for your time. I actually didn’t think the set would part out as high as it did.
Not too bad for a set readily available I know.

@@YellowBrickRoadLego I think it’s like on other selling sites where they have “fake” huge sales to drive up the averages in the algorithms
How many unique parts are usually found in new sets on average ?
