@DM GamerYes exactly. If the first player checks and then all of the rest of the players check, the dealer brings the next card and the new betting round starts.
@DM Gamer A betting round ends when all players have acted on the same dollar amount. The amount can be 0 (when everyone checks), or it can be the amount that someone bets (when everyone either folds or calls then the round is over), or if someone bets and then another player raises, then everyone with cards gets a chance to act on the raise amount and if no one else raises then the betting round is over.
DM Gamer When someone raises, you have 4 options. Everything you do at the table conveys information. How you move and how your body reacts is a small part of it. But more information is given by how a person plays rather than his actions. The longer the hand goes on for, the more information you're conveying and that allows people to narrow down the possibilities of what cards you have. Generally you'd pay more attention to why a person called or why they raised in context to the situation. So on the second video for example. I'll take it as though I know Daniel's cards, but I don't know Sexton's cards. *Sexton raises pre-flow to 22,000. Negreanu calls.* So sexton is quite confident in his cards. But not overly so. It indicates that he's probably got a high card or two. The fact that negreanu called would give off the impression that Negreanu has cards he feels have a similar value. Meaning he has a high card or two. *Flop; 5, 7,6. * * Negreanu checks. Sexton checks* Now the flop was full of low numbers. Negreanu checked indicating he's not got a matchup. Sexton checks and this is where something feels wrong. Sexton raised pre-flop meaning he is confident in his cards. If he had a high card like a king or an Ace, he would have bet small here to feel for Negreanu's cards. If he had a pair, he would have bet small to try and ward off Negreanu. He doesn't have a straight otherwise he wouldn't have bet so much pre-flop with a small hand. So why would he check? Because he's hiding something. He probably had a pair in his hand. How big? Negreanu will have to determine. *Turn; 5,7,6,2.* *Negreanu's got a pair of 2s. He raises 30,000. Sexton calls.* Negreanu raised 30,000. Given that he's only called so far, 30,000 indicates that he's got something and it's good, but not quite the best hand possible. This is really just Negreanu's way of testing to see how good Sexton's pair is. Sexton called with no hesitation, showing to negreanu that he he doesn't care what Negreanu has, but he's still trying to hide it. In other words Sexton has a monster hand. *River; 5,7,6,2,5.* *Negreanu checks. Sexton bets 50,000* By this point Negreanu had already determined that Sexton has 2 pair and it's a bigger one than his own. But Sexton raising to 50,000 just confirmed it. How Negreanu pinned it down to KK is beyond me though. Of course this is my view from after the game. Negreanu probably had a completely different viewpoint.

I played poker pretty seriously for a couple of years and was able to read someone's hand (exact hand) exactly one time. Lost the hand, but ended up huge because the rest of the table was so freaked out that they thought I was able to do it regularly and were chucking winning hands because they thought I got a read on them. Have had it done to me maybe twice. Feels like a bucket of icewater dumped on your head, really is kinda freaky. Insane that Negreanu is able to do it with such consistency.
@ZIP ZAP ZEEP not sure if I would agree with "it's not hard". I would agree that it is easier than people may think. For instance the first hand on here, aces, family obvious that the Q didn't scare him. Same w the Kk w sexton. The 10 8 had wasn't a read, it was a call....on obvious missed draw based on betting. The final hand, again, based on betting. The action pre and post flop can easily give a pro, one that has been playing w these players, enough info to determine over pair, set, high cards. When I would play a lot, I could do it with very good results. I too would still pay them off to see if I was correct. My friends would call me Daniel lol. I have seen much better reads from his though, some that are far from obvious. Did you enjoy watching the live commentary on wsop? Some of the pros they had in there guessing the hands was very impressive. Scary in fact.

It's perfect table talk. People knows he will bet even if he knows their cards. Later in the hands he can say things like, I know what you have. And people will believe him. Close… its the ear piece. Its how they can set it up for who they want to win,, they aint just gonna let any tom dick or harry win their biggest tournament. Jamie Gold wasthe biggest idiot at the tables in 2004 and won it… although they set the poor fools up with the best dealers with the hidden “mechanics”,, Wasicka almost let it slip with his rant when it was three handed on the final table. Benger and Kassouf was a horrible one,, they tried to set Kassouf a few hands before but he survived,, so they set it up with aces over kings a bit later. Horrible bast@rds,, staged and fixed to fook.
Daniel is good at guessing pairs. He can tell when the person gets a pair, and then needs community cards to guess which pair specifically. In the last bit he's asking: "Pair of 4's or pair of 6's. He knows the card is in the flop section, but the flop contained both, a 6 and a 4, so he can't differentiate which one. Just knows there was a pair and that the person looked excited, when they saw the flop. He's less successful with random cards, but also gets them sometimes, if there is a clear match on the last 2 community cards. Daniel's great at pretending he's not watching people. I wish they had a camera on him constantly, to follow his eyeline. They cut so frequently, it's impossible to see everything. I'd even settle for a splitscreen. One thing I love about Daniel is how respectful and humble he is for his rank category. Pleasure to watch him win or lose. He can take defeat like a gentleman. He commands attention.
He knows what theyve got all the time because of the ear piece ffs. They set up the big hands to get their guys chips up,, They know the “donks” will throw away hands if they dont hit a decent one. The worst WSOP for clear acting and staged was Golds win,, he was so bad it was tragic,, they had him lose all that money back on the high stake poker show before he vanished like a fart in the wind. Notice how all those WSOP winners never get seen again really. Kassouf was even set up as a cheat ffs.

For the last clip at 8:28, the Australian player gives away a lot of confidence in his hand by smirking, and Daniel catches on super quick. That's how he knew he was beat, he tested him on the turn, and the Australian player made a good move by checking as well, but on the river, he still figured that the other player wouldnt raise so high with only two pair
I have never played poker in my life and have no idea how to play. I have no idea why I watched this video but I’m glad I did. You don’t need to know how to play poker to know thy this guy is insane

Its not hard
Yeah u read the hands after they showed the winner
@@zipzapzeep7076 Lmao alrighty big boy

He was trying to throw Negreanu off. He was planning on going in more later.
That’s dumb bro lol that’s a set up for a major bad beat lol
idk wtf u guys are talking about but i’m laughing
Because Daniel called his hand...betting on the turn would have caused Daniel to fold immediately. It wasn't a bad move
It makes sense because Daniel called his cards on the flop. Checking is at least an attempt to throw him off the scent.
He calls the cards but still bets, what a gentleman!
i see it like an investment to go deeper into his opponent soul , maybe he won it oe maybe he didnt but over multiple match hell know what color your shit was last time you drop an egg
It's perfect table talk. People knows he will bet even if he knows their cards. Later in the hands he can say things like, I know what you have. And people will believe him. It's very effective table talk because it shows he can calculate the probabilities on the fly and play. It also shows the audience why hes so good at poker and what it takes to be a winner.
Thats because he is guessing and he’s not 100% sure he is right. If he was100% sure would he still call? NO f. ing way

i like how poker players look like they hate each other while playing and at the end of the round they start to talk like they’re best friends

Because he had a ear piece in. You cant know what someone has you can have a fair idea of what someone has once well into the hand ie bets made flop seen turn incoming.
