    I’m not one to comment on a video…in fact this is my first comment EVER. I wanted to say thank you! I started my Etsy store mid May and I can be living proof that your training works. I’ve watched most of your videos and implemented your tactics and as of this moment, I took one listing that started selling June 4th and just checking my dashboard, I’ve made $650 dollars today and $1,100 dollars yesterday. I’ve just hit 152 sales and my total income for the last 30 days was over $5,000 dollars!!! I’m not here to brag, I’m here to show that your training and tactics really work! Thank you so much for what you do and the fact that it’s completely free on UA-cam, really shows how good of a person you are!

      This is what I needed to see to actually start! So inspiring to hear! I have the life hacker course I bought a few years ago and they’re how I found Cassiy and loveee her videos and just always think “but it won’t be like that for me” but I’m gonna start and really give it my all! 💕

      Just curious as to how many listings you had when you started in mid May? Also, were your sales mainly from a couple of listing or spread out?

    Hi Cassiy, great video! And I wanted to say THANK YOU and that your strategy WORKS!! I wanted to start an Etsy business, but had no idea where to start or what to do. When I found your videos last year, I decided that the POD model was the right one for me. Your videos gave me the confidence to try it & believe it would work. I started my store in December, and then I waited for my first sale ... and waited, and waited. I was beginning to lose hope! I looked at my meager traffic and noticed that one of my designs was getting more views than any of the others. So I made a couple of similar designs, and then it came -- that very first sale!!! (It was about 4 months after I opened my store, fyi.) Your advice of adding value really worked. Since then, I have a slow, but steady stream of orders, and I'm excited to watch my business grow. And I know with 100% certainty that this wouldn't have happened without all of your great advice! Thank you!

    This was super well timed advice for me. I plead guilty to all the usual vices - overthinking, over worrying, being a perfectionist. And I have been spending too much time just setting the bar too high during my set up / shop opening phase. Wanting everything to be "good enough", trying to learn too many things all at the same time. Great, solid advice well articulated. Thanks. BTW I purchased your INCOME/EXPENSE REPORT WITH PROFIT CALCULATOR a couple of days ago - great value and a no-brainer given the depth of the spreadsheets. Thanks again. I will now approach building out my shop, as you have outlined. THANK YOU!

    I really appreciate you. You really give us the blue print. I did the first step and opened my store because of you. I recently resigned from my career after having my 3rd and last bby and part of my personal goals I set on my journey to more , is to start my own business. So I’m trying! At least I can say to myself I did it. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I have 14 listings. No sales yet but I know it’s going to come. I come to you while working to make sure I’m doing it right. Please ignore the nasty comments and don’t stop helping those of us who really want it and love what you’re doing! You could’ve packaged this for tons of money like most ppl do but you didn’t and you literally don’t seem to hold back on all the info. I’m so thankful!

    Im stuck on the first step like many.
    So many videos say the first month (honeymoon phase) on Etsy is valuable.
    Also that you should have an idea of your brand. Target audience as well as niche.
    That you don't want a store directed at no one in particular with a hodge podge of random items.
    How can we just move please?

      @CassiyJohnson  9 місяців тому

      I know it feels overwhelming when you look at it as a whole, but just tackle one piece at a time! There’s no rush! Just open your store, then just connect it to Printify, then make your first design.
      It’s normal for new things to feel overwhelming and scary, so just know you aren’t alone and that you’ve got this!

  • @rogsolaris7411
    @rogsolaris7411 Рік тому

    Absolutely correct the hardest part is the first step. I'm right there now. Have watched countless videos. I think the problem is information overload, and analysis paralysis. I can't decide what kinds of products I want to sell, (t-shirts, stickers, wall art, etc) - there are pros and cons. Then trend, niche, keyword research. It's just hard to know where to start. I also am on the fence because I travel a lot, and I want something to will require little to no customer service on my part. If I'm backpacking through the Andes, I can't call Printify (a lot faster than email) in a timely fashion to handle issues. The first time is always overwhelming, because none of it makes any sense yet.

    This is all great, and useful information, however, a lot of people (including myself) have no idea what to sell to begin with. Most of the profitable ideas at this point are already super saturated and competition is tight. For me, I want to stand out and do/ sell what others aren't. And that's the tricky part that definitely requires research and time.

    Do you have any suggestions for if you have more time-intensive designs? For example, if you're creating your own art for POD shirts. I'm struggling to even upload one or two listings a day because many of my designs take so long.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Рік тому +2

      The same process would apply but the research piece is even more important! If you are going to be spending lots of time designing then you need to be sure you are in profitable niches and that your designs have elements of things that are proven to sell for that niche. I would suggest maybe even to start creating simple designs, see what sells and then for the niches that you start getting traction in, then take the time once it's a proven niche, to create more complex designs for them. Then you are targeting two different types of customers in the same niche to get more sales or even someone would buy both!
      Here is a video I made on how successful simple designs can be ua-cam.com/video/DvarJAA-FLQ/v-deo.html

    Hey Cassiy, great video, as usual! I opened my shop on April 25, but was suspended for almost 2 weeks, so didn't get up and running until around May 7. I got my first sale around week 5 or 6, and I just got my 3rd sale yesterday! It's super exciting! The advice in this video is great, I definitely didn't know what I was doing within my first 30 or so designs, I wasn't sizing the image down in Printify so it was always like 15" across, haha. Now, I've learned how to place things properly, I just kind of hope no one buys any of my first designs, they'll end up with a giant design on the shirt! I should probably go back and fix those, lol. Thanks for everything, Cass, as soon as I'm financially able to, I will be taking your course, I know it's got to be full of great stuff. You help so many more people than you even realize, all of the people that watch your videos and don't comment or never like the video, your reach has been outstanding. Thank you for all you do, I'm glad you're such a genuine person, too, it really shows.

    Actually, I am not afraid of what anyone will think ...but I am afraid of all the questions it asks in order to set up your etsy store...I am trying to think 9-12 months out or less hopefully about setting up an S corp and all the banking and tax filing info...I don't want to have to go back and change every thing I did at the beginning as a novice...what would you do in regards to a business mindset approach?

    Is Etsy still worth joining? I remember trying it out once and I got suspended. I don't remember for what though, it was several years ago. I eventually got unsuspended. But that was a complete shock to me, since I had literally just joined. I'm now deciding if I want to really give this a try again and heard that Etsy has been suspending a lot of accounts. So I am just wondering if it's worth giving them a try again.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  9 місяців тому +1

      If you can just use the account you opened years ago, then you should have no troubles at all! I think Etsy is very worth it but starting to deal with a lot of scammers on the platform and their automated systems to keep scammers away are the ones accidentally suspending the wrong people. Hopefully their new system of charging $15 to open an account helps cut down on the scammers.

    Thank you for another great video! I have had my shop for about a year now, with only 17 sales. I learned a couple new things in this video that I am going to try. I do have one question. In one of your previous videos, you talked about copying a listing and changing the main image. I've done that before, but since they changed the layout, I can't figure out how to rearrange the photos. Is there a way to do that, or do I have to just re-upload all of the photos? Thanks!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Рік тому +1

      I'm so glad you got some new value! The new version works the same way, you should be able to click on one of the images and just slide it over top of the first one to change the order. If this doesn't work then you can always go up to the top right and go back to the old version of the listings still and use that!

    My main thing as to why I haven't started is, I'm worried about art/design theft. That's the one thing I'm mostly worried about...do you have any advice on how to protect your work? Or..is that kind of impossible? I'm an artist so I actually create my own designs, I don't usually go to sites like pixa bay or hire fiverr peeps to do anything for me etc. I just do it all myself

    I just did my tenth listing tonight as I attempt to navigate this new sphere.
    I struggle with ‘selling myself’ or things I create and probably overthink more than I realise.
    Some of the designs that are popular I struggle to understand the appeal which seems to stymie my ability to create similar themed stuff. 😅

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Рік тому

      This is something that everyone struggles with, if you aren't the kind of person that was shopping for graphic shirts on Etsy before starting this, then what you like doesn't matter lol and that can be really hard to understand and then learn how to make stuff that other people like instead. Just keep researching, learning and practicing and you will get there if you want to!

    How much time in a day should we spend as a seller for good results on Etsy?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Рік тому +1

      All depends on how efficient with your time you can be and what your goals are! It takes time to build no matter how much time you spend per day. The first few months are going to be the building and learning phase but the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Granted only if you are taking actions that are actually moving the needle. I see people all the time say they "spend hours per day on their business" but they just waste time reorganizing their listings in their store, redoing their logo, organizing their categories, going back and editing old listings that never sold etc. If you want success then you need to focus on researching, trying new things and then doubling down on what's working. That's it!
      I read the 4 hour workweek book my Tim Ferris and it really changed the way I work and look at priorities! If you can avoid "procrastiworking" on things that aren't actually going to make you money but only give you the endorphin boost you were looking for to feel like you accomplished something, then you can do a lot in a small amount of time! But this will be different for each person depending on how much skill you are starting with in the beginning.

    Ok so let me ask you a q - I'm a designer by trade but just starting. Should Iw orry myself with the mockups and thumbnails now? Or just keep it simple with a flat image of the mockup printify gives and maybe a color bg?

    I'm DESPERATE for an attribute bulk editor. Do you know of any. I signed up for Vela today, what a mistake! I have the feeling that they are real scammers - no way to contact them, no way to disconnect shop, no way to end free trial. Anyway, I need to change the attributes on all my listings. Can you a video on bulk editors asap? : ). Or DOES anyone know the answer so I can move forward with this task? Thank you so much!!! : )

    Hi Cassiy - I'm about 6 months into doing POD and made had about 230 sales so far. The last 130 sales came over the last month. My question is - have you done a video that goes over what a successful Etsy POD shop looks like? I mean how many sales per day is realistic? Can a successful shop do 40 or more sales a day? Or is it that every shop is different and there is no magic number to reach? Thank you for all your youtube content - it is extremely helpful!

Should I have a couple shops if I want to make say, Tshirts, Mugs, stickers, tumblers etc? or keep 1 store and just have sections?? or keep apparel with apparel, drink containers together, etc etc??? Assistance greatly appreciated. I Love your videos, they have been a great help, best on youtube for sure.

    When you do the designs in printify & upload them I’m afraid they won’t be correct & then the customer will get a crap show …also I don’t understand

    My questions are ~ I’m such a control freak & with the print on demand I don’t know if I’ve added the images to the correct place on the items. I did order a couple of tshirt samples. I want yo know how it’s packed ~ if I was doing it from home there would be cute thank you notes etc.
    😬 Thank You!
