I’m not one to comment on a video…in fact this is my first comment EVER. I wanted to say thank you! I started my Etsy store mid May and I can be living proof that your training works. I’ve watched most of your videos and implemented your tactics and as of this moment, I took one listing that started selling June 4th and just checking my dashboard, I’ve made $650 dollars today and $1,100 dollars yesterday. I’ve just hit 152 sales and my total income for the last 30 days was over $5,000 dollars!!! I’m not here to brag, I’m here to show that your training and tactics really work! Thank you so much for what you do and the fact that it’s completely free on UA-cam, really shows how good of a person you are!

This was super well timed advice for me. I plead guilty to all the usual vices - overthinking, over worrying, being a perfectionist. And I have been spending too much time just setting the bar too high during my set up / shop opening phase. Wanting everything to be "good enough", trying to learn too many things all at the same time. Great, solid advice well articulated. Thanks. BTW I purchased your INCOME/EXPENSE REPORT WITH PROFIT CALCULATOR a couple of days ago - great value and a no-brainer given the depth of the spreadsheets. Thanks again. I will now approach building out my shop, as you have outlined. THANK YOU!

I am always over thinking and wanting everything to be perfect, but I followed your advice and went ahead and put up my first listing in early July, and I tried to get up a couple of listings each day, (I now have 27) and I'm super happy to say I got my first sale in just two weeks! Hi Cassiy, great video! And I wanted to say THANK YOU and that your strategy WORKS!! I wanted to start an Etsy business, but had no idea where to start or what to do. When I found your videos last year, I decided that the POD model was the right one for me. Your videos gave me the confidence to try it & believe it would work. I started my store in December, and then I waited for my first sale ... and waited, and waited. I was beginning to lose hope! I looked at my meager traffic and noticed that one of my designs was getting more views than any of the others. So I made a couple of similar designs, and then it came -- that very first sale!!! (It was about 4 months after I opened my store, fyi.) Your advice of adding value really worked. Since then, I have a slow, but steady stream of orders, and I'm excited to watch my business grow. And I know with 100% certainty that this wouldn't have happened without all of your great advice! Thank you!

I really appreciate you. You really give us the blue print. I did the first step and opened my store because of you. I recently resigned from my career after having my 3rd and last bby and part of my personal goals I set on my journey to more , is to start my own business. So I’m trying! At least I can say to myself I did it. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I have 14 listings. No sales yet but I know it’s going to come. I come to you while working to make sure I’m doing it right. Please ignore the nasty comments and don’t stop helping those of us who really want it and love what you’re doing! You could’ve packaged this for tons of money like most ppl do but you didn’t and you literally don’t seem to hold back on all the info. I’m so thankful!

Great video, thanks for sharing. My question for you is: could you walk us through Etsy SEO and how to title the listings the right way? I have been with Etsy for 10 years doing graphic design work for photographers, but now I am starting an apparel business and posting my first shirt listing. I still have pre-made listings online like business cards and templates, so just wondering if I should erase them all, and just have an apparel shop now or still keep them and have a mixture of digital products and physical products. This sounds like fantastic advice, thanks for sharing! Would you say the same advice applies to those wanting to do the production themselves instead of POD? I haven’t opened my shop yet because I’ve never made the product (sticker) and I’m waiting for supplies to get here. So by the end of the week I’ll have everything and should have figured out how to make the sticker, so then I’ll set my store up and add the listings. I’ve already designed dozens, just need to be able to fulfill it if a sale happened to come through… lol yeah right but gotta be prepared.

Absolutely correct the hardest part is the first step. I'm right there now. Have watched countless videos. I think the problem is information overload, and analysis paralysis. I can't decide what kinds of products I want to sell, (t-shirts, stickers, wall art, etc) - there are pros and cons. Then trend, niche, keyword research. It's just hard to know where to start. I also am on the fence because I travel a lot, and I want something to will require little to no customer service on my part. If I'm backpacking through the Andes, I can't call Printify (a lot faster than email) in a timely fashion to handle issues. The first time is always overwhelming, because none of it makes any sense yet.

Thank you as always for your guidance!! I procrastinated for a long time just creating designs as that actually calmed my anxiety. I have been watching your videos for months and had the store etc all setup. Finally, I posted my first shirt yesterday. Following your advice, I bought a few good mockups and now am over thinking if my design placement is perfect on the mockup or if it is a little lower or higher! 😢 This overthinking issue is really getting in the way. I realized i dont buy a shirt and go to the store to see if the design is exactly where they showed it on their mockups! I'm going to commit to listing 10 a week and wait till I feel comfortable.
    Thank you again!

Yes great job recognizing that you are overthinking it. Just make sure the design is 2-3 inches below the collar and compare the the printify flat lay mock-up a few times in the beginning. Eventually you’ll get the hang of it and it will feel super easy ❤️ be patient with yourself, there is a lot to learn and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. I think you have a great goal and am super excited for you!

Hello Cassiy, excellent video! I have been busy these past few days following all your videos step by step. I have created and set up all pertinent accounts and have designed my first round of designs on canva. I am getting ready to put together mock ups and create listings. I would like to know if I should be creating a mockup for each different 3001 color that I will be listing? I am only doing 6-7 different colors to start off while I get the hang of things. Additionally, should I be creating my original listing through Etsy or Printify, or does this not matter if I have the two connected? Thank you for all the valuable information you provide us so whole heartedly. Kind regards, Adriana :)

I know it feels overwhelming when you look at it as a whole, but just tackle one piece at a time! There’s no rush! Just open your store, then just connect it to Printify, then make your first design.
It’s normal for new things to feel overwhelming and scary, so just know you aren’t alone and that you’ve got this!

I've been watching your older videos and enjoy all of the info! This most recent one is quite distracting with all the text, sound effects, special effects, etc. Just my opinion... keeping it simple is the best and I can get your message easier without the distractions. Thanks for the info and keep up the good work!

Cassiy, I have a question and I am not sure if you have said it in a previous Video. Should I have a couple shops if I want to make say, Tshirts, Mugs, stickers, tumblers etc? or keep 1 store and just have sections?? or keep apparel with apparel, drink containers together, etc etc??? Assistance greatly appreciated. I Love your videos, they have been a great help, best on youtube for sure.

Great as always, Cassyi. I am struggling with fees. Do I have two shops 1 to sell on etsy usa and another to sell in the UK. Not sure how to add the postage fees in to the retail price as it us different for these two market places. Can I ask if you can shed some light. I am brand new in this business but I really enjoy your videos. It's inspiring and it motivated me to start this pod business . Thanks again.

Hey Cassiy, great video, as usual! I opened my shop on April 25, but was suspended for almost 2 weeks, so didn't get up and running until around May 7. I got my first sale around week 5 or 6, and I just got my 3rd sale yesterday! It's super exciting! The advice in this video is great, I definitely didn't know what I was doing within my first 30 or so designs, I wasn't sizing the image down in Printify so it was always like 15" across, haha. Now, I've learned how to place things properly, I just kind of hope no one buys any of my first designs, they'll end up with a giant design on the shirt! I should probably go back and fix those, lol. Thanks for everything, Cass, as soon as I'm financially able to, I will be taking your course, I know it's got to be full of great stuff. You help so many more people than you even realize, all of the people that watch your videos and don't comment or never like the video, your reach has been outstanding. Thank you for all you do, I'm glad you're such a genuine person, too, it really shows.

I've been following your videos and have 25 sales so far. My biggest hang up is the time it takes to load enough designs. I have 2 kids so that doesn't help time management lol do you recommend any bulk uploaders for printify or have any hacks for faster listing set up? Thanks.

Thank you for another great video! I have had my shop for about a year now, with only 17 sales. I learned a couple new things in this video that I am going to try. I do have one question. In one of your previous videos, you talked about copying a listing and changing the main image. I've done that before, but since they changed the layout, I can't figure out how to rearrange the photos. Is there a way to do that, or do I have to just re-upload all of the photos? Thanks!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  11 місяців тому +1

I'm so glad you got some new value! The new version works the same way, you should be able to click on one of the images and just slide it over top of the first one to change the order. If this doesn't work then you can always go up to the top right and go back to the old version of the listings still and use that!

This is all great, and useful information, however, a lot of people (including myself) have no idea what to sell to begin with. Most of the profitable ideas at this point are already super saturated and competition is tight. For me, I want to stand out and do/ sell what others aren't. And that's the tricky part that definitely requires research and time.

Tune it down a bit with the cuts and big titles in the video. The most valuable information you give comes from the audio and these visual overloads are a bit too much to take in at the same time. Otherwise great video.

Any recommendations about the SEO tools on what keyword to use on listing descriptions? I've tried Alura and Everbee, but it's just a scratch on the surface, need to subscribe for detailed insights. My store is up and running about a month now, with only random 60+ views on my random designs. Also a second one, how to link 2 design in 1 listing from Printify? Like how to combine a couple/family set of shirts. Since from Printify to Etsy listing, its only 1 design per listing

    My problem is
When you do the designs in printify & upload them I’m afraid they won’t be correct & then the customer will get a crap show …also I don’t understand
the JPG or PNG or whatever all this initials mean & how do I know where to put it on or not. I hope this makes sense your videos are GREAT !
