outstanding insights!. I am an EE designing an ADU on an existing lot with a home that meets the maximum size criteria, but is for the most part wheelchair accessible 🦽on the main floor. I grew up in Monterey and was endeavoring to incorporate a Monterey Revival style as per your video. I have read all the “ Not so Big House” books and used Sara’s ideas, but my 1150 SF doesn’t allow for everything 😂 My daughter likes the current design iteration that was originally just a single level with lower pitched intersecting shed roofs with clerestory windows for light.
I use Punch Pro 3D CAD, so it s pretty straightforward to alter. Thanks so much for your ideas on poor design. Just finished the cantilevered porches today🤗Happy trails from Austin City Limits Texas 🎸🪗🎺🎷🎻🪕🎹
