I swear Cameron somehow knows exactly the perfect time to hit the splash.. Just Awesome.
To all the people complaining about this song being not up to standard, have you thought for a second that maybe that's why this was never released on a Soundgarden album until now? It's a B-Side. You aren't really supposed to release B-Sides unless your fans really want to hear them... which is what happened... weird huh?
Mr. Hotdog Shirt Guy this is probably of their best songs
As a Musician/Guitar player since 1987,Full time professional since 2006 i have to say that Chris Cornell and his songwriting + Performance with Soundgarden/Audioslave/Temple of the dog . If i take the "worst " songs /Albums or Performances through 40 years +/- over 50% of it is still above all Albums releases world wide over the same time span ⚡
This song is quite up to their standards. Never heard one from them that wasn’t actually.
the real SOUNDGARDEN!
Ok... ya.. This is an unbelievably good instrumental. It took me a while to FULLY grasp it, but this is freakin gold!
Classic Soundgarden. Simple in the core. Just put the lyrics and vocals and that would be it. Another great song.
The more I listen to this music the more I hear a prelude to Limo Wreck! And yet again I was listening to New Damage and a part of it sounds like this. Amazing music, amazing band.
whoever says this is atrocious doesn't understand SG...but that's just like...my opinion, man.
+Shabeg Singh You're spot on. I've been a fan of the Garden since 1994.
Shabeg Singh I couldn't agree more, they had more to say than words could ever allow them.
The Dude!
Nah, they knew themselves this song really wasn't that good
It's a B-side
This is my new favorite Soundgarden song... as a fan for the last 20 + years. This is great shit
How Awesome Soundgarden .The Electrifying Roar of Sound came bursting through !!! I loved it ♡
Got Ultramega OK vibes to it. More specifically, the track He Didn't
same music writer - Matt Cameron.
kickass tune - A strong sense of fear and tragedy in the main rifts; I dig it :D
Melting my mind....! Pure genius here, fellas.
Did any of you haters ever listen to loud love? Oh wait, you weren't born yet. :( This is solid gold.
I listened to all their old stuff and loved almost all of it. This one though...we'll see...
Man, would love to see a live performance of this! Great stuff!
you really have to understand the beauty of chaos in this song, the chaotic riffs are like a slap in the face to the fairweather Soundgarden fan but we have been hearing this sound back in the early grunge days, the genre itself toned down to be radio friendly.
i rate this 9/11
I imagine a fireman or rescue worker running up the stairs of a collapsing building (like the twin towers) while everything around him is falling apart and burning. The solid but pounding drum beat must represent his heartbeat, the climbing bassline is the adrenaline pumping through him and the 'messy' guitars have to be the building coming down and the chaos around it.
Classic Soundgarden, pure gold indeed.
Max Van Westerop this was written in 1988
@@RiverOfDeceit2380 doesn't have to be the original interpretation to work, music evokes feelings however it does for whoever's listening. Especially instrumentals since there's no lyric to hook meaning around.
I like it, it has the vintage SG vibe to it...
Holy King Crimson, Batman!
Especially all the atonal riffs/melodies!
fock YES
Dat bass line..
Very beautiful song, one of they're best
Killer riffs
Thank you Soundgarden... Oh My God!... Thank you $##king Soundgarden!
As someone else implied, this is Soundgarden meets King Crimson. I like it very much :-)
This is heckin WILD.
Imagine if this was in the lotr soundtrack
Love it!
Odlično .
Holy- this is my first time listening to another song from Soundgarden that isn't Black Hole Sun, and I can say it's pretty amazing. It's eclectic, raw, heavy, entertaining (if that makes sense.)
I'm listening to more!
Weird song. Very off kilter, I like it.
Thanks :)
cool track
Yes!
Nice
I dig it. Sounds like Soundgarden meets Jesus Lizard.
Yes! I was thinking the same!
nice
Jamming.
Bliss
Sounds like an outtake from 'Down on the upside' sessions
Super unknown Soundgarden is still Soundgarden let's all fuckin loud love it!
When was this recorded?
very skin yardish
Definitely sounds like early Skin Yard to me
Simon Cronk Matt Cameron was in Skin Yard before joining Soundgarden so I am not surprised.
it does sound like endino's doing lead here, you're right. i love skin yard, the best skin yard is their 1st one with cameron, not coincidentally.
this as well, excellent observation. for the record, i chose my fake name here on happen-stance.
hello, me. it's fun meeting your former posts from a year ago from yet again, other drunken interludes
Was not expecting an instrumental.
Sound is kinda wonky (a little too much crunch), but all the notes seem to be in the right place.
Verdict: it probably sounds better live, but I still like this B-side.
They did Mars Volta songs before Mars Volta ...
TLDR: try to focus first on the bassline without getting distracted by the lead riff, and the song will make somewhat more sense.
Why this song (especially the verses) will sound wonky to most people: the bassline goes from root => minor 2nd => minor 3rd => fourth, meanwhile the sixth note of the angular lead guitar riff is a major 3rd which is really clashy when played on top of that minor-2/minor-3 context. Focus on the root notes the bass is playing, and the song makes more sense, rather than letting that lead riff yank your musical reference point every whichway.
I like the song but I can see why a lot of people would find it unpalatable. This much use of minor-2, augmented-4, and playing major-minor simultaneously is not going to have mass appeal, ever. But like I said, if you focus on following the bass first, the rest begins to flow a little better.
RAAAAWW
Sounds like Pelican.
It does
Glad to know I'm not the only one.
I love it.
Yeah it really does. You got a good ear on this one. These new Soundgarden songs really tickle my sludgy and stonery sensibilities.
Completely unexpected but oh so fucking Welcome.
Haha for sure... I liked king animal but it wasn't dark enough for me... I have a feeling their next release will be nics and brooding like Ben Shepherds new album.
SoilentGr33n It isn't new,it's from 1988,it wasn't released until now,it's a good instrumental to show Kim Thayil's potencials.
Soundgarden did 9/11
yea, - why'd they name it twin towers? - some kind of 911 premonition? Cool song, a mighty instrumental..
Limo wreck another premonition song
Get On The Snake And Ride II Jay Says Hi Fuck I Hate Love Sometimes
Reminds me of undertow era Tool. Dig!
or metallica!

SG CRUSHES both Tool and Metallica
@@aavila1206 i love SG but nothing crushes Tool.
Tell Vedder I Have No Desighnes On His Daughter

R'n'r
This is okay.
Chieeefs, Baby!!
It should have been called Diarrhea
Sounds like my least favorite Fatso Jetson tunes. I'm a Soundgarden fan, but this song just doesn't do anything for me.
yeah, sounds like She's So Borg off of Toasted.
+Cod3Thr33 good, all the more for the other Soundgarden fans.
That makes no sense. If I listen to it and like it, it's still there for others to enjoy. It's not a plate of french fries.
This is atrocious. Gah, soundgarden...
Timi T. Spiderland
Timi T. I don't get it. It sounds horrible.
Timi T. I realize that, but I just don't hear how somebody finds it good. I can listen to music I don't like and figure out the value some people might get from it, but this one doesn't do it. Btw what's the first song you used in your "Goodbye video"? The guy with the deep Mark Lanegan/Tom Waits voice.
TheExplodingPumpkin B-Sides,ever heard of this?
+fisherman356
Dumb.
