    It's awesome that people documented certain things & we can review it many decades down the road. It's fascinating how much Magnetism, density, temperatures, pressures, electromagnetic radiation, etc. Play such crucial roles to objects in space.

    -> Decreased solar activity
    -> weakened solar magnetosphere
    -> increased flux of interstellar cosmic rays reaching the inner solar system
    -> increased cosmic ray-induced cloud nucleation on Earth
    -> more sunlight reflected into space
    -> little ice age
    Everything is connected to everything else, but humans abhor complexity, don't want to consider second and third-order effects, and want to reduce everything to a single 1:1 cause/effect relationship-that they can control.

    At 6:35 I did pick up the "magnetic fields" comment. Very playful. 😂 . All in all an excellent lecture. I have shared it already. Thank you.

    Keep in mind the Geo magnetic reversal in combination with these solar minimum and maximum cycles (like now)

    Another outstanding video. I was interested in the idea of linking Maunder Minimum and The Little Ice Age about ten years ago, but was put of by learning that the solar output received by the planet varies by a fraction of one percent. This made the link between cooling and lower UV radiation during sunspot lows, seem unlikely. However - Paul Sutter blows that conclusion out of the water by making clear that the northern hemisphere is peculiarly sensitive to small changes because of the larger land mass there. Thank you Mr Sutter.

    Thank for your really interstng exposition of the MM and ice / glacial ages phenomena ... but would you please comment if the cause for the MM is known? and if the absence of spots are directly correlated with lower radiation power emmitted?

    Volcanic activity, and the resultant ash and gas clouds high up into the atmosphere, anywhere in this mix?

      Volcanic output varies and has huge effects on climate for sure! Also I'm thinking that the short periods of geomagnetic reversal may have effect. And both of these are of course independent of the Sun.

    What about James Lovelock's interpretation of Daisyworld, where albedo is the only consideration in his computer model that worked to adapt temperature to any variance in the sun's stability?
    I do like your idea however, but, for the complexity is there consistency in the complex data you say exists that you have mot explained?
    As a final note, since star formation is completely dependent on the transition that sunspots may undergo due to the fuel4 driving them, 4 a water planet nestled inside a hydrogen universe, the accelerANT must be hydrino (simply modeled on the map of the current DENSITY function of N electron) &, as fuel can vary, on the way to particle annihilation in the realm of statespace, contributes to softening the surface of the sun. Again, for the content in question, the path that hydrogen takes.
    Where everyone knows the electron is a pure piece of quanta, as a lepton fully capable of transitioning to pure energy obeying the laws of conservation [of charge] along the way, you should check out the grand unified theory from Randell L Mills that speaks of an oscillatory framework for all quanta.
    So, by the way, for anomalous mineral formation, magnetized concrete, golf divots in totally twisted metal cut in 30' segments, where the paint is left unburned on the beams, hydrino as soup or tiny nano on 9-11, ten times TNT, 1 Atom Ant that goes pWoof, is a chain reaction, is lightening clapping, 💋 KISS, 1st principles only (take that Isaac), where Occam's Razor APPlies across 85 orders of magnitude, from Mental Boost 2's channel, a new video just released, art, I think, where 9-11 is, absolutely, nano nano.
    Anyway, thanks for this input on variation as part of the big picture. There is no question about it's contribution, not since Darwin.

    Paul were going to need another Dark Matter/Energy program, we need to identify it's closest geometric construct that everyone can see and learn from. It's right in front of us if you know where to look. 🕸️🌼👀. Oh, and what it should look like and how it should act within different mediums. 🎉

    Based on this I have come to the conclusion that having a truly habitable planet is extremely unlikely. The sensitivity of the climate to the exact combination of solar properties, geography and orbital parameters means that a random Earth-like planet in a random Earth-like orbit around a random Sun-like star is actually unlikely to be habitable. Earth would not represent the only possible combination of factors. But changes to any one factor would require matching changes to the other factors.

    How does having more sunspots make the sun hotter ? (I know nothing much about the sun but it sounds unintuitive)

  • @edstauffer426

    Dark matter phase transitions could be a primary climate driver. If the solar system passes through an area of higher liquid dark matter content the planets cores would all receive more heat due to increased phase transitions thus heating the earth from the inside out.
    Heating of the planet from the inside out would result in :
    Increased ground temperatures
    Increased sea temperatures
    Increased nighttime temperatures
    Increased seismic activity
    Increased earthquakes
    We are currently passing through the S1 dark Matter stream
    Over the last 40 years I used the If -Then process on all the science I read until I had a theory that tied everything together cosmologically. I finished this year and decided to downsize to the solar system as a test at a smaller scale. To my surprise I found evidence of climate change on all of the planets which fit with my belief of how dark matter moves. I believe if dark matter is the cause there are things we can do to reduce the dark matter circulation to the earth and control the climate by converting some to energy or redirecting some to Mars to warm it and cool the Earth. That is why at the beginning of October I began predicting that there would be a temperature spike at both poles on about October 28 give or take a week. It is my hope that this will get some actual physicists looking at the data.
    Around the sun there is a churning sphere of dark matter that extends to the Alfven limit and is rotating around the barycenter of the solar system. All of the planets in the solar system cause tides on this sea of dark matter. Jupiter has the most pull by an order of magnitude followed by Venus at double the Earth’s pull which is slightly more than Saturn’s. The heavier the rain of returning LDM the bigger the sphere of DM encasing the sun. The reason that we can not find dark matter is that it is outside of spacetime with some probably composing the fabric of spacetime.
    Dark matter is always raining down into the suns gravity well and clouds of dark matter are also constantly overflowing the gravity well. Some clouds are carried by the solar wind and some influenced by the tides of the planets. When there are conjunctions there are more clouds heading in that direction. These clouds are composed of a mixture of Liquid (LDM) and Gaseous (GDM) Dark Matter. When LDM reaches a low enough value of gravity and velocity it vaporizes releases heat and expands explosively becoming one of the primary drivers of the LDM circulation. The GDM that is accelerated further into the sun is condensed by the increasing gravity, absorbs heat and continues to circulate. If these vortexes reach the zero G equivalent they vaporize and like CO2 in your sofa head out of the gravity well. The majority leaves through the poles of the sun as GDM some condenses back to LDM on the way out cooling the suns poles and some causes sunspots and both result in more intense bursts of the solar wind as it collapses outward. I believe the heat transfer is accomplished by waves of Quarks and Leptons vibrating in and out of spacetime each one transferring heat in the process.
