Please keep up posting about OP Open 2, I am refreshing UA-cam every day to find out more 😁. Really wait to see it lunched, man. I think I wasn't so hyped about a phone since 7T Pro.
@@maxminimixr My mother still uses that phone, and I am amazed every time I see the full screen without a punch hole. It really was a beautiful phone, and it still works just fine.
I'm on the Honor Magic V3 and the Oppo Find N5 looks so inticing, wide outer screen, thin and light, better cameras and software than the Honor. (being a foldables enthusiast is such an expensive hobby 😂)
@ Yea the V3 is pretty good but it has some annoying quirks. I want to play around with the OnePlus Open 2's software and see if I find the OS better. If it is then I might move to it. If not then I most likely will wait for the Fold 7 and see if they finally make the outer screen wider and the phone thinner.
Man I swear...wireless charging, higher ipx rating. I would love if oneplus focused on a desktop mode instead. It would draw alot of Samsung and pixel fold users to a OnePlus foldable.
I'm so afraid that based on available info the OnePlus Open 2 will be far less durable than the OnePlus Open original. That much hardware, that thin... something has to give.
Oppo & OnePlus has excellent durability testing facilities. My Open has been flawless since day one. There are rumors of titanium. I have zero concerns. Will pre-order on day one!
😮😮😮 This is really good news. I don't have to be so careful with it around liquids. This device is going to bring the year in crazy strong for foldables.
God man I just wish they could just make every app able to shrink in a top/bottom split screen (niche apps that I use don't work well, especially frustrating since some are video playing apps) but this foldable might be so fucking good that I can overlook it, especially with it adding wireless charging. Then add the battery bump, Snapdragon Elite and the rest of the OG Open's feature, got damn it's gonna be an emulation monster and an incredible smartphone itself ahhhhh
The big thing that's holding me back is if something happens to the phone and I have to send it back. I won't have another phone. I wish they would change that policy. Have you heard anything if any of the carriers are going to carry it?
I really have my eyes on this device. I've been a Samsung user since the Galaxy S II. I upgraded.. (that's debatable lol)..to the Z Fold 6, which was my first foldable device. I'm ready to trade-in the Z Fold 6 after having it for less than a year. I usually keep my devices for 2 to 3 years. The Oneplus Open 2 checks all the boxes as far as innovation goes so far. I'm ready to make that switch once more information is released, like the pros and cons.
@@josue85 I was discouraged hearing that too at first, but reading between the lines is helpful here. All is identical minus a single performance core, which means it will only be affected in heavy multithreaded workloads and not in everyday use. Even with the single P core missing, you'll only be able to discern the difference in synthetic benchmarks. It should also produce less heat and thus won't throttle as quickly in theory. The chip is insanely overbuilt, and the extra abundance of cores are really there for edge-case scenarios with insane multithreading. This'll still be a winner.
For Samsung users, these Chinese phones are sort of like the hot new girl at the office giving you glances who is younger, more exciting, and different than the old lady at home who let herself go a long time ago who's put on some extra pounds and quit trying. (Samsung Galaxy )
Shane - sorry to bother you. Needed some help as my opo suddenly lost all haptics. Tried everything except a factory reset. Any thoughts from you and others would be appreciated.
Would have been better going for dust and some water proofing. Ain't nobody taking this phone swimming. But I guess sounds good. I never cared about wireless charging but now I've got the Open, I'd like to have wireless charging. It's still a nice to have, but it's a nice upgrade.
Strange that the Open doesnt have the same level of dust resistance as the Z Fold. If my open couldn't handle pebbles then it wouldn't exist anymore at this point. And we know structurally it has the same brushes for protection as the Z Fold.
Nice to see the water resistant rating on one plus open 2. Tells me anyway they had durability in mind. Or maybe they just thought that it's so thin we would drop it in the toilet more often 😅😅😅.
What was that phone several years ago that made all these promises pre-launch and got a lot of hype and then had none of the features in reality. The OPO2 is starting to feel like that. I hope I'm wrong but how is all this possible?

The good days of the 7T pro
I miss it
I wish they made more
That camera design was so dope

@BogdanAnghelina exactly they really should have kept that design
I still have my old one it's beautiful
That's what got me into the OnePlus brand

Only thing that kept me from honor was the price but it looks better
I was about to buy the Magic V3 until I saw leaks for One Plus Open 2.
Which changed my mind to wait and hold one a little longer for the best!

I don't use wireless charging. But if they throw a stylus in the box I'm sold.

Never buy the hype. It's always a wait and see situation.
@Louis1059 Don't get me wrong, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

I love Rednote which is amazing and well beveloped. ❤❤❤
What about their after sales service? I hope it gets an upgrade too.

definetely switching from my S24 to this. i've always wanted a foldable phone
What's OnePlus trade in like? I have a Z Fold 5 and only stay with Sammy because of the trade incentives. OnePlus makes me want to jump ship
Can't wait for the release. I hope the Price will stay the same like the OPO1!
So it looks like the OnePlus open 2
will have the (7 core) variant of the
Snapdragon 8 elite. A less powerful
version
Slightly disappointing, but I can't honestly say my Open has ever felt slow. The other upgrades are enough for me to make a purchase.
*slightly less.

Youre great thanks

Hot new girls need loving 2!😂
Im assuming they make 50 watt wireless charging? Do we buy it from OnePlus?
I would assume so

If you've checked all the relevant settings, a factory reset is really the next step.

I'm just afraid that they'll mess up the camera module for me again.
I'd be honored if they'd do all that just for me.
@Ronnet was a bad translation 😃
I wonder how it does the water but not the dust rating ….
Coating the internals
@ Cool! Thanks.

I've heard... They just don't pay for the certification... Clearly, these devices are protected from a level of dust..
Can't wait anymoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🎉

Im hoping for at least ip48 since I work as a plumber and has some sand and dust around me daily 😅
3 weeks into 2025 and I’m still not use to the new hair 😂
I need a new foldable the size of the oppo find n2 😅

The pricing on this phone will not be cheap.
Damn... I might have to sell off my Pixel 9 Pro Fold
Looking forward to it! Samsung is turning into Apple.
Ello! 🖖
This device is going to make me give up on Samsung... I just know it...
You should have gave up on Samsung after the fold 5! Samsung just wants ur money!
@@MrCougar56 I almost did actually. Was going to try the OP Open. But decided to stay with Samsung... Maybe I should have. 🤷
@emanuelneiconi, get out of your comfort zone...
@@DispholidusTypus That is the plan. I almost switched to OP Open last year but chickened out. This may the year though...
