VW always has such great videos. We have had many VW's over the years a 60 beetle convertible has been in the family since new, I purchased a MK6 GTi in 2013 and sold it to purchase a mk7.5 GTI in 2020. Great cars and very underrated.

VW siempre hizo buenos autos,confiables y duraderos y aunque eran un poco más caros que sus rivales no importaba porque pagabas por un buen coche.
Lamentablemente a día de hoy se nota que el dieselgate les pasó factura y ahora venden coches ya no tan fiables y de calidad bastante dudosa cualquier japonés les da mil vueltas. Volkswagen vive de la fama del pasado pero la fama se acaba en cuanto los clientes se empiezan a enfadar porque sus coches tienen que pasar por el taller bastante a menudo, sobretodo por problemas de software que en Volkswagen es una auténtica mierda de sistema que no da más que fallos , esto lo saben en VW y lo intentan solucionar veremos como lo hacen.
Pd:Soy dueño de un VW Golf MK8 por eso escribo esto con conocimiento de causa

Here in Brazil it also stopped, it was only until the 7th that was imported from Germany in 2013.
Actually, this ad made me realize that's never gonna happen. This style of car is pretty much dead. The MkI and MkII Golfs had a design that was loved on the outside AND super-roomy, plenty of light coming in, high-viz all around on the inside. But VW, in the name of efficiency most likely, turned the Golf into a Scirocco. And all best-selling cars copied that design... think 208s, Ibizas, Astras, Focus, Punto etc. And the interiors of all those cars slowly became too low, too dark, with a claustrophobic roof that slopes down to your face. Horrible cars to sit in if you just stop to think about. People never realized that consciously, but subconsciously I bet those are the most important reasons people slowly went for small SUVs. It's all about the Pumas and the T-Rocs now if you look at sales figures (especially in Europe).
Take a look at the Honda-E's design. It's a modern-day design of the first two generations of Polos & Golfs. It flopped because of an insanely high price but reviewers went gaga for its design. It was gorgeous. THAT's the route VW should have gone down. Now compare the Honda-E to the Golf Mk8 and you'll see what I mean 😀
For context, I'm saying all this as someone whose parents had an Mk2 Golf-C for 30 years.

Nettes Video. Nur leider nicht realistisch. Wer sich einen Golf I leisten konnte ist da heute beim VIII raus. Durch die Bank weg sehe ich überall ein Downgrading weil die Leute sich ihre frühere Fahrzeugklasse nicht mehr leisten können. Durch die e-Mobilität wird der Faktor noch verstärkt. Der heutige Kleinwagenfahrer wird dabei hinten runter fallen. Das hat die Politik auch erkannt und hat das € 49 Ticket eingeführt.

Here in Indonesia we have only overpriced GTI version, about 70K USD. As the Tiguan Allspace owner for family car, I wanted golf for practical everyday commuting, Please bring the normal 2.0 version and keep the price reasonable.

Where is cabrio?
I like Volkswagen cars...But lately all the ID models lack the WOW factor. They look bland and uninspired from within as well as on the outside. I hope someone at VW does something about it. The interior of the ID models is compared to any other non electric much worse, the speed indicator, AT gear selector, seats, materials…Why? Skoda makes great interiors, Volkswagen can make a great interior Touareg, Passat, Golf. The new 2024 Passat reminds me of an old Audi 80, especially in red color.( Audi 100 Avant Quattro Turbo). Come on Volkswagen be bold in 2025.

The Golf would be a perfect car to bet on a more modern vintage look, a bit more square, like what Ford did with the Bronco - They could do the regular consumer trims but also release an lively "original" bare bones power trim with manual gear, etc... But all I see is them making the car look more and more like a spaceship. I am sure it will be nice and comfortable, just like a Corolla.
