I loved this song when I was a kid in 5th grade in good ole Stow Ohio---where 50 years went is beyond me! I think UA-cam is the nostalgia headquarters of the internet when it comes to truly golden oldies.
Un anciano de 73 años escuchado estás maravillosas canciones que nostalgia, que recuerdos Dios! Valió la pena vivir. de disfrutar estas décadas de extraordinaria musica!!!
Christmas time 1970 and my 11-year-old self went absolutely NUTS for this song before I had ever heard of the Ronettes. Great, great memories. Andy apparently had a thing for Ronettes tunes, having also redone "Baby I Love You".
Yep, 1970. Our neighbor with a SuperBird. Riding our bikes in the sun. The stereo at home with this on a 45. My parents with a new Cadillac Fleetwood. So good.
This song sung by Andy Kim brings me right back to Autumn of1971 when I met the one and only true love in my life. Beautiful days and nights of a beautiful love! Thank you for the memories!
1968 man. My ears were literally glued to the radio that year (figuratively speaking ), I never heard of Andy Kim again after 1968 until late late 1970 with Rock Me Gently.
This may not be the best cover of the classic Ronnettes tune, but the driving drums and bass made it a respectable hit. Years later, another Canadian act will put the rhythm section front and centre.
The Ronettes had Sunny and Cher along with Darlene Love in the background. The Ronettes single is considered one of the ten all time greatest hits in the rock era. Not to be rude, but Andy Kim is not!!!!! But he was around for several decades, he had a lot going for him OH yah Baby I love you by the Ronettes is quite good as well Read up on the making of Be My baby, and what Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys did when he first hear it. Maybe you should give it a second listen to, the Wall of Music, The Brill Building sound, never never never sounded better!!! In fact after writing about it, I think I will listen to it. And NEVER in my life have I listened to it just ONCE!!!
@@Kitandrox I never meant no disrespect to the ronettes by my statement. I am an avid fan of 1960's music and have a massive CD and vinyl collection to prove that. I just really liked the "touch" that andy kim put on the song.😊
And who knows..... I was in the 9th grade in 1970, and could have been major crushing on some one when this came out. Therefore, it has a special meaning for me...lol...
I remember "Baby I Love You" very well because it brings back memories of the girl I should have gone after. As for "Be My Baby",I don't remember that one at all.

Same.
Even the same age. :^)
I WAS 12 IN 1970

I think I read something where he admitted being infatuated with Ronnie Spector when he was a teenager.

Good music again from the 70s, Great Memories hearing this song on one of many roadtrips between Phoenix, Az and Long Beach, Ca.
I remember cruising Main street with my friends in 1970, listening to this song on KIMN! Yeah, those were the days!!!

Good thing you added "figuratively speaking" to clarify that your ears weren't actually glued to the radio... 🙄
Wow what a beautiful song love ❤it

Nagyon szuper dal ,imádom.
...love it ~ sweet memories... thanks so much for this upload ~
Before my time, I thought he was Indian, found out he is Lebanese. Talented guy. Liked the other cover better. I think he is still living.
This may not be the best cover of the classic Ronnettes tune, but the driving drums and bass made it a respectable hit.

The urgency of the "right now" lines sell it for me.
Great cover
Hit the Top 40 On 11/7/70, Peaked at No. 17, On the Chart 11 Weeks!
Ficou bárbaro essa versão.
Muito bom
played the 45 to death when I was a little boy. beautiful memories.
We had great taste as little kids!
Nice cover. Thanks for sharing.
Someone gave me a ton of old 45s and this was one of them! Not in the best condition whatsoever but hopefully I can clean it up some 😊
Até morto ressuscita com esse som
👏👏👍👍👍🎼🎸
Very few remakes can top the original recording of a song, but this did!!!
It's good but not as good as the Ronettes superb effort. IMO Andy Kim is more successful with "Baby I Love You", another Ronettes classic.
Joe free: Pinball Wizard and Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds also topped the originals

Steed label brings back good memories..
I have a SEALED copy of his ALBUM =:How;d we ever get this way"
It's the "right now, right now" part that makes me prefer this version.
A Kim
Para Tereza Maria era meu grande amor em 1970
Reminds me of The Beach Boys.
I think I'm built backwards. I like this more than the Ronettes, but like the Ronettes' Baby I Love You better.
