      Standing up for yourself without saying a word?

    • @StoicAtlas
      @StoicAtlas  Місяць тому +1

      Standing up for yourself without saying a word is all about mastering your presence and actions.
      It’s about knowing your worth and showing it through confidence, body language, and deliberate choices. Actions often speak louder than words, and when you carry yourself with self-respect, others take notice.
      What’s your experience with standing up for yourself? Would love to hear your thoughts!

    In years of working with the public I've learned to allow everyone the freedom to express their opinion..even if they're wrong .. if you listen ..keep your voice low and even..their anger is defused and they become willing to listen ..once you become irritated or angry the war is over..and you've lost

    True respect isn't about demanding it, it's about earning it through our actions, character, and integrity. The Stoic philosophy teaches us that self-control, virtue, and wisdom are the foundations of commanding respect. By mastering our emotions, maintaining humility, and staying true to our values, we naturally earn the admiration of others. Respect comes from within and shines through in how we handle challenges, treat others, and stay grounded. It's a powerful reminder that when we lead by example and stay aligned with our principles, respect follows effortlessly.

    I believe that although indifference may not be synonymous with apathy, it surely results in it. When I know someone is truly listening to me, I feel supported because I know my opinion matters. Whether there is agreement or disagreement does not matter, what happens is that I contribute more and are not apathetic. In this win-win situation I learn, and there is nothing more powerful to me than increased wisdom.

    Practice indifference to outside opinions: Focus on what you can control, don't let other people's opinions influence your feelings and actions.
