I can speak to the lot 269. I’ve had mine for about two years. They are very slow to get any scuffing. They maintain their gloss finish and do have very cool rolling after wearing them for a long period of time. They are beasts to break in because they are built like tanks. I think you would dig them.
Fantastic in depth review per usual. I watch your videos not only because your one of the few that review these products but have experience with them as well. Oh and I love your OCD… Spending top dollar on an item deserves a critical eye
Very interesting. I've got two pairs of Lot 444's one in black(not struck through but the inside is dyed black as well) and one in brown. They are my best fitting boots. I'm 12D on brannock and they are both 11.5, literally zero heel slip. I tried on a pair of lofgren wabash engineers in 11D (I think the recommendation is only half size down), and my feet were cramped but still had a ton of heel slip. I also use a wesco leather insert in my attractions. My black pair is about two years old and barely shows any of the undertones yet. Honestly it seems like we have totally different pairs, mine shine up quite a bit. Appreciate the review!
Yea that's for sure. I recently got my hands on a pair of role clubs in size 12 or 31. Fit distinctly better than my Attractions, which I didn't think possible@@almostvintagestyle
I've always thought that the Attractions 444 are a very special model, simple but with something extra over the others. They have a truly vintage look and a unique shape. I think they are a bit of a mix between J.L. and the Mr. Lou. Personally I find them very comfortable, you have the feeling that your foot is hug by the leather. It's like they're the "slim" version of engineers. What do you think about the "Pioneer" Lot. 603? They are on my list, I really think they will be my next pair.
@@GiladSteinbergerThanks Gilad, I did a search and saw what model you're talking about. I'm not sure but I saw a very well worn pair on your IG right?
They do have a very nice vintage look and I do like that. It's kind of cool that they went for a more stripped down model. I personally am not a fan of that other model from them. I much prefer these
I’m contemplating in between BILTBUCK Lot.444 ENGINEER BOOTS or a vintage Red Wing PT91…they are both engineer boots but the styles are completely different. What do you think? Thank you so much.
Would an insert help with the heel slippage? Or are they just too big? How would you compare these to Julian’s or Mister Freedom? How would you get the toe to flatten out more? I’ve got the Julian’s in black CHRXL. Fit great with no heel slippage and fit my D size, true to size at least for me.
It could help a little, but it's more than my heel just doesn't fit well into the heel cup. I think I have a fairly shallow heel so it doesn't hook into any heel cup very well.
Yea I personally prefer the Motor boots. I like the leather and the fit more, plus the qc on my motors is better than on my Attractions. Price is lower too. That said, there are reasons to like the Attractions more. They're very close IMO.
I think these fit wider than lofgrens, reason being I have both in 11D, my feet is 11.5E, the lofgrens are clearly narrow for my foot, not uncomfortable but I can see the edge of my foot being over the welt, but with the 444 I don't have this problem
Loved it, shame we did not see you wearing them
Yeah I should start adding more b roll

Yeah I'd really like to try that leather. These scuff a bit too quickly for me

Thank you so much! I really do appreciate that. It means a lot that you get something out of me being so pedantic haha!
One of my favorite boots! I find them very comfortable and I really like the thick leather.
The leather is pretty unique on these for sure. It's crazy thick for horsehide on boots. I dig them.

More likely we just have very different feet. I think it'd very difficult to get fit advice from others because feet are all so different and weird.

I strongly recommend you to check the phigvel engineer boots, the early model, they have the most vintage style I've ever seen

I would definitely go with the Attractions Lot. 444
Very informative video! Btw, do they make their own boots or, do they have someone else make these for them?
These are made by a different factory/shop in Tokyo which is pretty standard practice. Motor do the same thing.
I liked these but my left foot couldn't fit in the boot. I found them quite difficult. Shame because they look cool af
That's a shame, but I know some people have trouble with engineers
Speaking of the closer to 1950s style of these, do you plans of getting into vintage engineers or boots in general?
I'm looking into it for sure, I just worry about the condition. I am getting a lot more vintage clothing in general lately

Jake. How do the attractions compare to the motors? Do you have a preference for one over the other?

Yeah I think you're right. They both feel slightly roomy to me but I don't have a super wide foot.
Will you do a Lofgren review?
Yes I will review my Lofgren engineers
Jake from your Engineer boot experience, do you know which brand or last is the best for the low instep people? Thanks!
For low instep people, I would say clinch by brass tokyo would probably work best
They look really nice and simple, but the leather feels little boring....... wish you had one engineer in the same leather as your white Cloud boots 😍
The leather ages pretty dramatically, but its a bit more matte in appearance. Of you like shine, these aren't for you.
I do like matt but yeah you got me 😅...... keep collecting these super quality products and letting us know about them. Great content 🍻
Do you recommend using shoe trees in engineer boots?
I really dislike that space between the strap and vamp. Much prefer engineers where the strap covers that.
Wish the instep was lower on these.
I agree. That is a bit of an issue with these unfortunately
They're still fantastic value (not much as it use to be), if you didn't pay those insane western markup.
Yeah if you can get them from Japan then they are a good deal
Do you use shoe trees in your engineer boots?
No I don't. I like having the rolls develop on mine.
You always walk around looking like that
