@@thejurassicartist Thank you! It came out better than I'd hoped, but I definitely wanted to keep the replica can clean as an option. Thanks for tuning in my friend 👍
Clever idea using the acetate. I am currently building the working nightvision goggles, thanks for the build video. (Did you make custom motor and lens mount) The motors are a lot more torquey than I expected for their size.
@@MetalT-800Skull they are really torquey. I did have to make a custom lens mount, I think if you Google 'goatfinders' and 'rpf' it should come up with the thread where there is an image. I have a suspicion for the orignal prop they used a sheet of metal to mount the motor. Let me know how you get on! Thanks for your comment and watching the video!
@@JurassicCollectables Thanks for the quick reply. The right side is a nice fit with the original cameras internal case trimmed down. Left side will need the motor flipped. Yeah I imagine they used ali plate or something too. I may need to go down that route. It is a fun but challenging build. I am coming across all the problems you most likely run into.
@@Dinoslay ooh nice excellent idea! When I was mixing the paint for the blood at first I made it too dark and purpley - I did think about making it venom!
Curious to know if you ever picked up the Paragon FX licensed replica JC? I've been looking for a way to display mine and this is a great idea, might get a custom perspex case, concerned about sun damage or the colour fading, especially on such an expensive item.
@@maidenfan87 I haven't gotten one yet as the replica I own was so close in design/shape. But they look great. The packaging looks nice too. Definitely keep out of direct sunlight as most things fade. Even perspex cases that claim UV protection still allow fading of objects inside. So perhaps a shady corner out of direct light?
@@JurassicCollectables that’s understandable. Rylo is part of ParagonFX too so if you have one of his I suspect they’ll be almost identical. It’s a nice set though, has the prop archive tags as a little bonus. They’re making goggles now too, I know you already have your own though. Did you see the $18,000 life size T-Rex head at comic con?
@@maidenfan87 I saw the goggles - I tried messaging them on X about the accuracy, as the chronicle pair were 1:1 with the prop. But from the early images these goggles look like they have been modified/idealised - not sure how final that is. I prefer the lineage back to the original, like the Chronicle cane being cast off the prop. So I'll wait and see how the goggles come out! That Rex head is massive! I can barely believe they can make them at that price point. I wonder what the final quality will be
@@JurassicCollectables they don't seem to be particularly responsive on social media I've also found. Hmm I've just compared the shots on their site to the Chronicle ones and can see some subtle differences, which stood out most for you? Agreed, hoping there's some reference or casting from the original prop for this one, no mention of whether it has or not on the product page as of yet.
@@maidenfan87 these new goggles look symmetrical and sanitised - they seem to have lost their handmade quirks that were present in the Chronicle scans. I'm sure many won't even notice but for me I was really after a direct copy of the screen used prop. I don't know if this one has been scaled up too? As Timmy's headset would have been small
That’s a great idea. I especially like the clear plastic used with paints to create the mud effect!

This is so cool the badge reminds of Jurassic park the game when Nima is trying to find the barbasol can
@@Joel_Ramirez. Ah wow 😲 yes! Well remembered. That was an exciting game. Thanks for watching and leaving a kind comment 👍👍
Very cool display JC. I'll be sure to keep this in mind if I ever get me a cryocan replica.

I remember when They started redesigning the cans logo from the screen acurate version. So i bought 3 or so before the old designs were fully gone

Missed opportunity to also add some dark green slop to Dennis’ ID card alongside the blood to indicate Dilophosaurus venom.

I have to admit that looks very convincing but however it looks less like mud and more like poo just saying.
