Hi Unmesh, there is something that is missed in this video that I think is worth mentioning.... but for MidJourney, using either "--test" or the new "--v 4" models give SIGNIFICANTLY better results than the standard --v 3 model. I got amazingly high detailed and dynamic results that are much much closer to the original image.

I tried with my own generated images, and it´s not even close of what I said, but then, using the prompts it gives me, it has amazing and beautiful results, so I don´t care if it´s close, even more, I´m happy it gives me new ideas. Adding a reference image is a bit tricky because if you give the reference image full strength, you essentially get the exact same results as the origin image, where with no weight, the origin image is pretty much ignored. Stable Diffusions image to image section is, in my opinion, it's most powerful tool. With a proper prompt and an origin image, you can have results which in their overall composition are radically different from the origin image, yet have a theme from that image. For example, an origin image of blackberries with a proper prompt can result in an image of fine dining china that has blackberries as a theme for their decoration. The Origin image and the Generated image will be 99% different except for that one detail.

Well, except no, it doesn't - that's not how the technology works. Images are fed to create data - that is used to train the AI to recognize shapes, combinations of objects, styles, etc - and then discards the data. If it kept the image data, the training dataset wouldn't be 2-10GB, but many terabytes to petabytes in size. It'd literally be impossible to distribute it like it is with some of these training models.

@@hombacom It's not fear, it's a reality. A tool is something a human uses to do work with their skills and according to their will.
A screwdriver is a tool. You can use it to screw things. If you ask your employee to screw something, are you doing the job through him? Is he a tool? No, he's doing the work, he's a worker.
Now let's say you fire your employee and buy a robot, and you ask the robot to screw something. If you just tell it what to do and you see it doing it completely external to you, are you screwing things using it? Or is it screwing everything while you watch? Yeah the robot in that case isn't a tool, it's a replacement for a human worker.
It's the same with AI art, you see. Someone with no artistic training but lots of money needs one or several images done, so he hires an artist or group of artists to do the job.
But why do that when they could just ask an AI to do it? He's got no artistic training, he won't be able to tell if something is really good, or just flashy. He may think he knows, but he doesn't.
You may say "well then he hires an artist to supervise everything!" Yeah that's called art supervisor and it's one job of many. Still kicking a lot of people out.
And I hope no one suggests all artists become art supervisors because that would show a lack of knowledge about hierarchies at the industry Yeah why isn't everyone at mcdonalds a manager? Why isn't everyone at the office the boss? That's laughable.
"Then they should just give up art and learn other skills" yeah still a bunch of people are now looking for jobs and the number of jobs offered isn't growing. Wait until new different AIs take other people's jobs and see unemployment rates rise. Super fun for the economy eh? Who's going to pay to see the new 99% AI generated pixar movie?
AI is a replacement, not a tool. Saying otherwise is deceitful.

If you just “ask the AI” you get often odd or boring average of everything it learned, but you can spend a lot of time to tweak it if you want. But it feels like random one hit wonders and hard to make images that belong to each other. Is it ethically right to train on public images, maybe not. I don’t like AI hype or to make fun of artists. For all of the people saying that we're "stealing" other artist's work... I happen to be an artist with over 30 years experience and did a test.
I loaded 6 different -- yet obviously themed -- album covers that I created for a band (no I will not say which one for privacy reasons) into img2prompt.
img2prompt kicked out some very good descriptions BUT attributed my work to 6 different artists that I have never heard of, seen their work, and I most definitely did not "copy their style" or anyone else's. I've worked well over 20 years via my network connections only i.e. no social media, marketing, or adverts. Those that contact me know why and for what reason. However, as some other artists have pointed out, the people that are the most active on the internet (or famous masters) are the ones getting attributed with the AI algorithms. Not the true "originators" of a style... the OG copyright holders if you will... that popularised a "look or style".
I personally have no problem with that, and I'm starting to use AI in my own work as an idea generator, and thank Unmesh and other channels for making the experimentation easier. Will I be replaced eventually? Absolutely! And counting on it. But I'll also be moving forward into the future with other creative endeavours.

There needs to be regulations which will protect human artists' rights, which will prevent use of Copyrighted artworks in datasets and artists names in prompts unless they consent to it. Otherwise, yes it is stealing when you build the whole program using Artists' intellectual properties without their consent and plus making huge amount of money without compensating them. It is art theft, exploitation and simply unethical. It is clearly stealing when you can use artist names in prompts and sometimes generated result is basically a copy of original work or slightly modified and merged with other human artists' works. Maybe There needs to be another AI or program developed for detecting copyrighted components in generated AI art. If the content is too similar to existing copyright material or if the AI can detect what kind of training material was fed into it, it throws out a claim at the company or prompt user. @@SENYSENofficial I don't think you understand how AI generated images work.
The majority of these AI images were generated using the open-source Stable Diffusion model. The datasets used in this process, LAION-5B and LAION-Aesthetics, consist of publicly available URLs paired with tags that are also open for access.
Plus, it is currently permitted in most countries as long as the final product is significantly transformed from the original images. This is demonstrated by the inability to accurately recreate famous works of art, such as the Mona Lisa, using these models. It should be noted that the minimal SD model file is only 2GB, meaning that it is not possible to maintain reasonable quality while condensing 5 billion images into this small size.
These models utilize a set of differential equations to map language tokens to local features, which represents the minimal amount of information necessary to reproduce the core characteristics of an image or piece of language.
The use of AI to generate images does not constitute plagiarism due to the creation of new and transformed images through the utilization of algorithms and input data. While these images may be influenced by or incorporate aspects of preexisting images, they are not direct reproductions and therefore do not infringe upon copyright laws.

just remember AI "art" is just stealing data of other artists who worked on them for hours, and it is not the same as artists being inspired

AI still has trouble with the number of horses' legs, human arms, and legs. Objects are still hit-and-miss. A learning process that is getting better by the day. By next year, human artists will be lost careers.

I don't see people losing their jobs just yet. There's a lot of legal problems with using AI for profit > a lot of prompts involve 'Disney' and 'Artstation'. I don't see Disney being very happy with just anyone being able to use their name to turn a profit. The bigger question is how will those corporations use these programs. Google and others, 100% saw this coming so how are they currently using it? I mean a computer can play chess better than any human ever born and to be born so why is chess still a sport? Ai may learn quick but humans tend to be slow and sentimental so will be interesting to see how and when it's used.

@@Sabrina-wh1jh Has anyone been sued over this yet? The only way you can sue for copyright infringement is if the work is registered with the copyright office. That isn't happening because the copyright office will not register works by AI or non-humans.

i think that is a bad example artists live on how much products they can sell. sure they can still do ot as a hobby but hobby artists can never be as good as a artist that spends most of day drawing for a job because a hobby artists need to work another job to make a living and pay bills.
i think they say you need to draw 5 hours a day to become good at drawing in 3 years or something . and that's only drawing painting will take more time no one with a job has 5 hours free in their day .

AI's images are not copyrighted, so it is useless for professionals. It steals pieces of real artists' work and combines them, so it violates copyright law, or more precisely, creates a derivative work.
