I will think positive and I do believe that's I I started work then I'll be a happier mum cause since I've been at home I've been so sad, stress and cry majority of the time. Oh btw love you vlogs!!

I watched this video 5 months ago thinking: that's so far from now. Well, it's almost here: next Monday Rhea will start going to daycare part time. I'm so anxious, nervous and emotional these days, I don't know how the both of us will survive! As much as I want to just do something for myself, I think I'm actually torn between going home crying or lurking around the daycare with binoculars like a total creep...

I return to work in just over a month after having my first child. I know it's the right decision, she'll get so much more out of being at nursery but I have been dreading going back to work since I started Maternity leave. Hopefully I'll be able to make use of your tips to make it easier for us both. thanks x

    Hi Emily!
My 11-month old daughter begins daycare next week and I return to work the following week. I have been a total mess and my heart breaks at the though of not being with her all day, every day *cue the meltdown* - BUT I will be implementing some of your suggestions in hopes of having a smoother transition. Thank you for this video! xo

Hi Emily. my daughter is 20 months old and I am planning to start working from next week. My husband will take care of her when I am working. But I am feeling very anxious about it. I never left my baby alone from day 1. I don't know how she is gonna cope up. Your tips seems very helpful but is there anything I can do to prevent separation anxiety.

I'm only getting 8 weeks of maternity leave I have some time left but I'm already having anxiety of leaving my almost 2 month old to go to work, but I know she will be in good hands with her daddy, I don't know why I have anxiety...

I have to get back to work full time in 3 weeks and I swear the thought of leaving her makes my guts turn and I can literally feel my heart in pieces. She’s 9months now and it is killing me. I don’t know how I will cope 😭

I’m at uni doing my Nursing course. Spoken to my rude course leader. She said max I can have is 3 weeks that includes birth n recovery. Then back to lectures n work placements. I’m worried would I heal in time for that uni stress, would my 2 wks old baby be Steiger enough to leave with hubby whose gna spilt in paternity leave into 3 weeks. Then I’d be 3 weeks for annual leave uni would be closed. Then I got 4m hosp placement I have to leave baby his gna be 9wks. Or she has suggested I should interrupt my studies n rejoin in Feb 2020. My baby is due Feb 2019. It is ideal to postpone the course but I think I can do it return back after 3wks. My gods will, hubby n family help, scheduling, planning n I’m quite organised. I’m only 22wks n got all my baby stuff. Only thing left is bottles, on the go express set, breast pump. That 3 wks I’m gna make notes how many time baby eats, poo n sleeps, so I can have a schedule made for my husband n my family whose willing to help me. Sept 2019 I’d start uni 2nd yr, baby would be nearly 7m. 2nd yr gna be tough coz pgdip is intense Nursing course plus I’m gna do my Msc module on top of that. I just pray labour goes well, no c section, babys healthy no illness, I pray baby is a good sleeper so I can study.

My baby girl just turned 6 months :) I have the possibility to take 2 year maternity leave, even 3d one, but the 3d one is not paid (I live in Bulgaria). I have just discovered your channel a couple of days ago with the vid How to entertain a 6 month old :))) Great tips, I have to get a foil blanket! Poli

Wow is that normal maternity leave in Bulgaria? That is amazing! Xx

Emily Norris Yes - the first year we take 90% of our salary when in maternity leave, the second year we get really not much money (but still some), and if you would like you can stay a 3d year non paid maternity leave. This is the law, but then again our salaries are not huge and a lot of people cannot afford staying at home more than a year. If you are 8 months pregnant (end of 8 month) with another child before your first one is 2, then for a whole new year for the second child you get your 90% salary, so that's great too. :)
