WhatchaGot2Say cant choose one but definitely the slower more emotional songs. “Dear my friend” is such a personal song about his experience loosing a friend(basically his friend he used to be so close to become this “monster” and went to jail, even offered him to try dr*gs) and how he misses him. It’s not even my own story but it makes me so emotional, definitely one of my faves.
All of them are fire 🔥 yoongi did a fantastic job. If I HAD to choose Strange, 28, Burn it, and of course Daechwita. Moonlight is also up there but if I list any more I might as well list all 10 songs lol.
Daechwita is a Korean music played to notify the people that the King is coming out of his palace to go on his rounds. The people should bow when they see the king. It's also played when the Korean army marches out for battle.
This is not true. There are no rules or stipulations that say Kings/Emperors couldn't have facial scarring/marks. The only physical stipulations for people in government/court were for the women/concubines.
lol right now yoongi is one of the most wanted producers in the industry, everything he produces for other artists is going to be undoubtedly number 1, he's nicknamed "the hand of midas" by the press, i think youre gonna have to put down more than a couple thousands if you want one of his beats😂
New army might didnt know, but there's a time, few years ago, when suga wanna give his song to a senior singer, but he refuse Suga song.. eventhough Suga promise that song is good, that senior rapper wont take it.. and that senior is gone.. gone by the wind of Suga's success..
@@susieholsomback4931Because that's not him. Watch the MV when SUGA come out with all back up dancer face was shown. Even the face structures are different. Can't believe people still cannot recognise bts member. Please this video "Did BTS members appear on Suga's Daechwita MV (Agust D-2)"
Amyprism_Bae I can recognize the BTS members, I never saw any faces only the pulled down bucket hat always over that particular dancers face. The dancing was recognizable. It very much appeared to be J-Hope’s style. Thank you for your input. I sometimes cannot believe the harsh criticism ARMY has for other ARMY. 💜💜💜. Until someone who was at the photo shoot tells me different, I will stick with my opinion!
The Choreography Agust D has performed is the traditional Sword Dance , He has practiced for it a lot . At the end He is killing His past self Blong hair Agust D dethroned Him the creazy King , and Became emperor , king, boss ,Himself.
Yeah to me, in my humble opinion, Agust D is telling us that the only person who can put his previous cocky and greedy self down it's himself but with upgrade skills (sword vs gun) the way they ''kill'' is different. Also the Agust D emperor is all alone and the rising Agust D is surounded so, I think Yoongi is telling us how he improve to be as his best and that the only person who have controll on him is himself.
BTS also did the hanging out the (truck) window in previous videos - when they go to the beach & are clowning around. Not saying it is or isn’t influenced by the Joker, just an FYI.
as you notice the mv doesn't have BigHit intro just like what we usually see on other BTS mv just because all mixtapes RM's MONO, J-Hope Hope World, SUGA's Agust D and D-2 are all credited to them
theory: "I ain't no weak pill-popper like you" refers to the Korean (usually hip hop) artists who take drugs just to look cool and be with the trend/imitating hip hop artists in America. More specifically, I think he's criticizing the ones that think they're the shit by taking drugs and being angsty, despite having a gold spoon and not understanding where this culture comes from- hip hop originated in (correct me if I'm wrong) South Bronx, which at the time was an economically depressed area that was predominantly African American. Wannabe, south Korean "hip hop" artists don't understand that struggle and don't even make an effort to. In conclusion, Yoongi doesn't stoop to their level in trying to attain fame and success, he didn't need to pop pills and "look cool" in order to earn his fame- he earned his fame because he's just that good at what he does, hence "I was born a tiger" and "born in a ditch but rise up a dragon"
Well said. In total agreement with you. AugD simply has the talent, swag and impressive work ethic to not result to drugs in order to BE above and beyond. He reaches for a much higher level of respect, self respect. I truly love his passion and artistry. HE IS KING!
He put that also as a trigger to people around him, yoongi already said that one of his childhood friends is in jail and once when he came back to Daegu for vacation this same friend tried to take money from him by selling him drugs. Yoongi did not accepted it and cut the relation with this friend.
Those people saying they're becoming "westernised" don't know what they're talking about anyway. BTS's music, and kpop in general, has always been based off of western music genres such as hip hop, r&b and EDM.
He is the one who produced and composed it😁 Plus, idk if you noticed this but the executioner who freed him is the same dude who was cutting the meat at the beginning of the video (the butcher) . I guess the "folk" Yoongi made a plan with him to kill the "King" Yoongi The King Yoongi is the old Agust D (from 2016) and the folk Yoongi is the current Agust D
Just like the lyrics he was born into the slums, built a following, grew little by little, and took the throne by force. In other words, he’s on some king shit 👑 🔥
oh boy there's a lot to explain but here I go! hahaha Daechitwa is the music heard in the begin, it's the Korean traditional music played for the march of a king or high official when the venture out and everybody bows down. In the lyrics he mentions beserk Gwanghae. He was an infamous emperor in the 1600s of the Josen dynasty known for being one of the most ruthless and brutal. Back then he wasn't respected, didn't get the same title, temple or big fancy grave. However in modern times he's actually quite respected. Now the scar. This is something interesting because it was said that a person with scars cannot ascend the throne, something along the lines of a belief that their bodies were precious and equal to the worth of an entire country so the fact Yoongi has a scar can symbolise how he has broken stereotypes or just how powerful he really is. Also Yoongi really loves scarface. hahaha The painting you see is their CEO bang pd. The inspiration for that is a bit of an inside joke for long term armies. Years ago the members played a game almost like charades but instead the member had to draw the word and the others guess. JK drew bang pd with three strokes as RM put it and they got it instantly! Also Jin and JK were the ones fighting in the beginning. Theory three heads on the balcony could symbolise the Big 3 power companies in the industry. Blonde Yoongi is the one which is arrogant, and corrupt with fame and wealth. Black Yoongi can either be his past self as a poor boy from Daegu or his current self. Black self kills his alter ego perhaps symbolizing how he isn't going to be that person famous for simply 'flexing' or 'popping pills' Linking to Jungian psychology this whole back killed blonde may be him also accepting his shadow as one in the same. instead of keeping him a separate persona he embraces him altogether. Honestly there is so much more I could day but this comment is long enough haha if you listen then rest of mixtape please do it with lyrics. the song are quite sad but incredibly written and of course I will be back to offer some explanation! hahaha great reaction as always!
The scar thing is a plot from a K-Drama. Trust me. I live over here and asked my friends to double check. Ask any Korean. Kings/Emperors were allowed to have facial scars.
@@laraibahmed3090 Probably, I read the original tweet this rumor was posted off of and they said they got the information from kdrama 😓 but it blew up as factual.
also another thing to add, if korean kings still existed today, yoongi could have been a king. he is a descendant of the yeoheung min clan and so he has royal blood in him. same with jin and taehyung , they have royal blood from a different clan (: . it just makes this video even more interesting
As a 50 year old white female, I only just discovered BTS (thanks Carpool Karaoke!) and I found myself drawn to Suga ( my bias as the kids say) but I couldn’t say why. This is why. Amazing.
So how I interpret the whole video: It all comes down to a line in The Last in his first mixtape, "And Min Yoongi? I killed him", this is AGUST D talking, that to prosper thru adversity and in this highly competitive industry he had to kill his real self and create a persona that could take all the hardships and use them to fire his greed for success, therefore, AGUST D was born. This video is Min Yoongi (black hair) retaking control from AGUST D (blonde) as the rightful emperor, Yoongi taking down the usurper as he no longer has need for a persona. Also, how do we know? While AGUST D is dressed in silks and gold he is missing something Yoongi has: an imperial jade pendant with a dragon engraved, the royal seal (Yoongi's car key), showing how he is the true emperor. The guy who was meant to decapitate Yoongi, is also the guy cutting the meat in the market, so this was a planned strike. Not only that, when Yoongi starts headbanging the other people there do not know he is the true emperor, but they recognize the strength in him, and so they mirror him, showing how he has the support of the people (you can see it all thru the video) while AGUST D stands in his palace alone.
Patricia ARMY I have read many responses and you brought it home for me. Thank you. I wondered about the importance of the keys. Love your explanation of the video.
The scar thing is a plot from a K-Drama and not factual. Nowhere in Korean history (in all the many annotated rules and stipulations for being a King/Emperor) is it written that Kings/Emperors cannot have scars.
A better interpretation of the scar is that Kings don't usually go into battle and are supposed to ascend to the throne through bloodline. The fact that he has a scar means that he had to fight his way to the top.
@@jimjimcherie you're welcome!!!! Glad I could help clarify. You're not the only one. Yeah, some I-ARMYs posted it and then later a bunch of K-ARMYs were correcting them on it. Scarlet Heart Ryeo may have been based on history but it highly embellished a lot of things haha. But other than that detail, I LOVE your interpretation. It seems to be a commonly agreed upon interpretation. Also, Suga and J-Hope talked about this on the 꿀FM broadcast and Suga said the scar was based on Tony Montana (whom he has referenced before). And how he feels like Tony (someone who started with nothing and got everything he wanted but now feels empty).
I love how you guys love BTS. You enjoy every bit of their talent. And you get them...spot on. Your friendship & respect for each other's opinions of the videos you watch is beautiful. Thank you for saying they are masters of their craft. They work so hard at everything they do. That is why they are so loved. 💖
In the background when you asked about the drawing, that how the members like to draw Bang PD (Big Hit CEO). It's a big nose and eyes. I think Jungkook started it and now they all love to draw him like that to tease him.
The fact that he started as a producer with BigHit, never intending to be an idol, then became one of the biggest contributors to BTS, is amazing. They are all so insanely talented, but Suga consistently writes/produces and puts out hit after hit! Even his collaborations on others’ albums. Whatever he touches, GOLD!
I’m still shook and it’s been 24 hours since this mv released and I’m still watching it and watching other vids in between.I can’t stop listening to it on repeat and I’m still shook. The whole mixtape is fire. Literally can’t focus on my work.
Spank me daddy Hoseok Same here! I’m still mind blowned. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that he’s wearing historical costumes. I never knew I needed Yoongi in a historical setting til now. He looks so cool! I can’t deal with the charisma. Yoongi out there killing my heart.
Yes yoongi produce all his hits.. and especially his mixtape, btw he just did a live and said: i was involved in everything in this mixtape from the cover to the tracks.
@@cassymin3648 it's to honor the body and spirit with a clean death. Though more for a ceremonial benifit, they believed it purified the blade so that the essence of the previous victim doesnt taint the kill and a clean death helps to transition the spirit to the afterlife.

His August D mixtape is awesome but I can’t help but notice how much he’s grown since then. As a producer, as a rapper, as an artist and most importantly as a person. He’s matured in every sense of the word. The track is fire and so is the rest of the mixtape.
Yoongi confirmed that he was involved in every part of this mixtape! From producing on all the songs, to the album cover and the MV! He's so incredibly talented and passionate about his craft.
I stumbled on Daechwita one day and was mesmerized from the first moment SUGA/Agust D showed up. I had ZERO context for the video, but was hooked right away! Now, that I've done a deep dive and understand the context of the song my mind is BLOWN! SUGA/Agust D is a master at everything he touches. I actually went looking to see if WhatchaGot2Say reviewed it. I knew you guys would love it and I appreciate your love of all things BTS!
I love the end of this mv so much. Think about it: he's tied up, blinded, about to be executed but he speaks up. By doing that he takes control. That's so powerful, I can't
A historical drama where Yoongi plays the character of the twins: the tryant King Min of Joseon and the rebel brother Yoongi The reason why they have both have an identical scar in their eye is because they were twins cursed at birth. The scar allows them to feel each other so every time that they're close to each other, their scar throbs painfully. At their tender age, they promised to each other that they would rule side by side but their parents had to separate them for their own good because the pain the scar gives to them was too much. King Min grew up in the palace while the other Yoongi grew up in poverty away from royalty. As young King Min was groomed to be the next King, he saw how his father poorly treated their people which made him think a lot of his brother's condition outside the palace walls. But as time goes by, without the presence of his other brother Yoongi as he grows, he grew more tyrannical and became paranoid from everything so when he has been crowned as the new King of Joseon, the people suffered even more under his rule. On the other hand, Yoongi who is away from the palace, experienced those unfair treatment and became a victim too as he grows, thus this led him to decide and that is to usurped the throne from his brother. Only his brother can defeat him. And that's how King Min knows his rebel brother Yoongi is on his way to dethrone him. -ctto- Now thats daebak🔥😌
I love how right after Daechwita, instead of just pressing replay you played other random videos before returning to the mv so the views would actually count. I appreciate that so much, thank you for supporting Yoongi 💜
"They said time is money, My time is worth more than that" -agustD I love the reaction and I died because of his blond hair in a top knot I just came back alive to watch this
The beat he rapped quietly while being blind folded reminds me of RM’s part in Ddaeng where he stutters. And of coz Jinkook fight as always 😂 😆 A goofy “So far away” reunion LMAO
OMG!!! I thought that the very second I heard it and have not heard anyone else say it, so I thought that maybe it was just me. Thank you for not making me lose my dang mind!!!
I don’t understand, what is “so far away”? I read that and I hear the lyrics in my head (Song was a collab SUGA did) - but how does that relate to Jin & Jungkook? Thanks.
SO many historic references in this video. OMG!!! Like the reference to the "Crazy King Gwanghae-gun" at minute 1:07, who notoriously kept killing his subjects because they kept trying to dethrone him. It's a really dark part of Korean history. He was the 15th king of Joseon dynasty and ruled 1608-1623. I think the video relates to the basically lowly citizen Min Yoongi slaying the king just with his superior rap and music skills. This double entendre of Suga and BTS slaying all the haters just through their sheer talent is mind-blowingly brilliant.
Agust D produced the whole album. Soo, HE IS THE KING, HE IS THE BOSS 🔥 Listen to D-2 is FIRE 🔥❤️ Btw, as soon as I clicked on your video, he went on V live w/ J Hope 😂😭😅
For English-speaking Armys, the V-lives have no subs during the actual live, but if you check back about a day later, they ad Eng subs, so you can understand what they are saying 💜
Agust D produced the beat himself. He has received awards from his talented ability in making beats for other artists all over from East to West. Artist describe to him what they are looking for, and through how they describe it, he makes them a beat.
I don’t get where people thinks it siphons off views. I watched the video, watch reactions to see their reactions because it is fun to be part of a group all reacting together. Than watch the actual video in between. The video right now is trending no 2 I don’t think it is hurting the video views.

he said that from the production of the songs to the cover of the mixtape and the mv, he touched everything. he wrote everything together with 3 bighit producers and, of course, the collabs. daechitwa was written and produced by him and the idea of traditional instrumentals was also his
just a bit of information on the storyline! kings werent allowed to have scars, but he does, so that's just another hint of how powerful he is! also even blonde yoongi is a fake king because his scar is fresh, but black hair yoongi is the real king bc his scar is healed. that's why the man released him and gave him the gun.
My fave part on the MV is the one that Blaze also pointed out where the flow just got a lil toned down but he was still spitting fire. Where he was blindfolded. OMG that scene and the flow is out of this world. I had this on repeat in Spotify and I always wait for that part. Thank you for reacting to this really. Made my day!
He produced the album himself, they always do that on their solo projects. Daechwita is the king's march. The butcher in the beginning that "rebel Yoongi" is looking at is the executioner in the end that sets him free. Tae and Jimin is holding that bang pd picture for a second, and I'm sure RM and Hobi is there somewhere also! 😅 And ofc agust d brought a gun to a sword fight lol 😂 The rest of the album is also really good, very personal! I hope they get to live a little more normally during this time and relax 💜 It's also so cool that in every mv from their solo projects they always have 6 other things around them, shadows, people etc. representing bts 💜 Love it!
Charlotte W - sorry, you’re wrong about the guys holding up PD nim’s poster: not TAE and Jimin. You will see it’s definitely not them if you freeze the frame. Besides, the one that people say is Jimin, that’s still Agust D. It would seem only Jin, JK and Hobi came to the set.
Have you seen the screenshot of vmin on twt? It's not the same dancers as before. But yeah, the food truck pic also was only with Jin, jk and Hobi... So could be only Jin and jk! But it could be wrong, we probably will see when they release the behind the scenes video 😁 Never the less amazing mv, exactly what we needed during this time! The satisfaction when rapline finally pops off at haters are unparallel 🔥 Remember to stream 💜

FINALLY!!! I know you'll wait for 24 hours after the MV released And finallyyyyyy! Fun fact: - seokjin and jungkook cameo glad you knew it already - yoongi is REAL a descendant of king from Joseon dynasty (last kingdom) and if the kingdom is still exist yoongi will probably becomes a king right now Sorry for my bad english
Not necessarily. He's a distant descendant of the last Empress of Korea. He is listed on an official register with about 100,000 other Koreans with the surname Min/민.
The fierce and badass persona of Yoongi / August D, hi s swag in short, is just so attractive and not off putting at all, in fact it adds even more to his great charisma...💜 FUN FACT: Yoongi (along with RM), is actually well spoken of by music industry insiders (both in the high and low positions), being known as one of the nicest, most respectful and kindest top tier artists they've ever worked with.
Min Yoongi king of my heart! Raps faster than my wifi works and is never afraid to tell it like it is! Also I absolutely love when artists use traditional instruments in modern works- something about it just gets me.
this song was very traditional to me from the intro being a Korean instrument from the setting of the music video to the role suga played as a emperor or a king to Suga doing the Traditional Korean sword dance to the title of the song. I really like seeing Traditional Korean things.
OMG I am waiting for this. was contemplating on sending you guys a message the minute it got uploaded. Now I am psyched. I died when it was uploaded it was sneaky of him then he went YT live few minutes later. Lit AF. GENIUS = AGUST D please listen to the entire mixtape. you'll be taking a roller coaster ride of emotions. as always he won't disappoint.
PREACH BLAZE! Blaze breaking down that last scene..... his presence.....his essence...the blind leading us and showing us how to appreciate everything “without sight”....we’ll now damn..👏🎤drop💥 !!#speechless
Yoongi wrote and produced the entirety of D-2!! there's a lot of references to korean culture in the mv is actually insane. First, "Daechwita" is the traditional music played when the king leaves the palace or when someone important goes to visit him (Nico was right!!), then of course the traditional sword dance the executioner did before he "beheaded" black haired Yoongi, drinking alcohol and spitting on the sword. Then the sword dance blonde haired Yoongi does (which is super complicated and he did it amazingly), when he says "Gwanghae flow" is a reference to king Gwanghae from the Joseon Dynasty known for being a despot; he asked his secretary to hire a man that looked like him just in case someone tried to assasinate him. There's another reference to king Yeonsan who was known for mass killing elites and their relatives, that may be the reason why blonde Yoongi is executing many people and keeping their heads in boxes. The line about locking something in a rice chest is a reference to prince Sado who died from starvation locked inside a rice chest by his father's order. The scar on his face is like the biggest flex of it all because in the Joseon Dynasty, no one from the royalty was a allowed to have scars. if you got a visible scar you weren't able to become king or queen, so Yoongi being a king despite the huge scar over his face means he is above the system. it could also be a reference to "Scarface" since Yoongi is a filmbro and in his first mixtape he put lots of quotes from the movie plus the track "Tony Montana." All the dragon and tiger references are related to the culture too. This mv is probably one of the best BTS has, imo. And Yoongi killed it too!! Amazing reaction as always, guys!!💕 hoping to see that 1verse reaction soon, Nico 👀
also, something that's my own interpretation: i think rebel yoongi (who obviously comes from the future because of his clothes, the car and the gun) is the actual king and blonde yoongi is the double from the gwanghae reference i told you. if you notice, blonde yoongi asks "who's the king? who's the boss?" but black haired yoongi (despite being tied and all) raps "I'm the king, I'm the boss." imo that's why the executioner actually frees him and gives him the gun, because his loyalty goes towards rebel yoongi and not towards the "king." and he killing the blonde version of him who's become a monster keeping the heads of the people he orders to execute is a reference to him killing the corruption inside himself and forgetting the past to live in the present (thus killing joseon dynasty yoongi while being yoongi from the future lmao). i could be wrong tho, only yoongi himself knows the exact storyline behind the mv. him being so proud of his culture is a big slap in the faces of all the people who say bts has become westernized. he used traditional korean instruments for the track with the bare minimum of trap production.
@@michellecolin47 I appreciate all of this so much. W/O it I went down a different path based on ignorance. This is all fabulous - especially that it's Yoongi and Jimin who readily embrace their ancient culture but Yoongi took it miles and miles further. We're so stupid in America. We don't know our own history much less even touch on the history of other countries but especially those from Asia. And yet the Korean War - the separation to two countries, is all kind of huge and has everything to do with America involvement. Why isn't this important to education? And my degree is in History.
It reminds me of the Korean movie “masquerade” otherwise called “the man who became king” it’s a historical drama about the Joseon Dynasty and the “mad king” who was ruthless and killed his opposition/opposers. The mad king was being threatened with death and this sent someone out into the streets to find a look alike to be his replacement. The king was poisoned a few days after and the poor man who looked so much like the king was trained to take his place. The poor man ended up being a better ruler than the mad king and ended up controlling the government and began to rule for the people and ruling the people through fear. The king and the poor man meet face to face and the king ends up dying. The poor man continues to rule but eventually gave up his crown to be ruled by others and lived the rest of his days among his people. This MV is very Korean history heavy and I think suga was inspired by this tale but also used it as a representation of himself and his personas. He also relates it to his climbs from nothing to having it all and takin out his haters, his only competition is himself now. But it can also be a little about his own family history on how he is the descendant of South Korea’s last empress and has royal blood in his veins. Suga Jin and Taehyung are all descendants of ancient prominent families/clans. Jin and Taehyung are from the same ancient clan and thus are distant relatives.

Daechwita (literally "great blowing and hitting") is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while marching. When the king leaves his palace, huge lines form and all the commoners and servants bow their heads. In front of him are people with horns and instruments playing a song to notify that the king has left his palace and is going for a walk. The beginning of this song is a sample from an actual Daechwita. The starting off of a Daechwita is done by a solo lead of "Jibsa (sort of a conductor)" singing "Myeong-Geum-Il-ha-daechwita-harabsinda", roughly meaning "let the Daechwita begin". The command is served by musicians responding "yeah- yee".
before i even watch just here to let you know i looked up "daechwita" and its basically the korean military drums being played before advancing the army. Love the content guys keep it up!
Love the juxtaposition of the high ranking king & the low ranking commoner each claiming " I'm the King, I'm the Boss". And perhaps both are true, where for one it was given and the other it was earned.
Madeleine T-McGarty yes!!! 💜 there are people over in another reaction arguing about this...sigh.... if anyone thinks it is different than the month, go to Yoongi’s vLive from this morning and listen to #0613_FM0523 at about 1:00 and he says it August-tah-Dee with the “tah” really fast....
Not really though the pronunciation is literally how you would pronounce “suga” but in reverse and use “s” instead of “sh”, then add on the “t” and “d”...but then again I’m Australian so the way I pronounce “August” is different which is why it doesn’t sound similar to me 😅
@@CP_LUVS The only reason you hear that "tah" in the middle, is because of how Koreans pronounce words. It's like an extra sound when they pronounce English words. The correct way to pronounce it is shown in "Moonlight". It's ah-gust (like gust of wind)-dee
Daechwita is the 9th track that he made. The MV took only 2 days to shoot. And Interlude: Set me free was written and produced just 2 weeks back! All the songs were written by him and produced in collaboration with some more producers. Max is a part of one of his tracks in D-2!

Blaze is my spirit animal, man's just respecting and appreciating every aspect of this song and MV!! The point he made about when Yoongi's blindfolded and how the army still feels him and goes along with him, beautiful observation. yaaaaay!!!!!!!...so glad your doing this spng...was waiting for this video..AgustD is sooooo freaking RAW,,,yeeeeees. I watched it 20 + x...and counting
For a few who don't know about the Joseon era/dynasty, the palace is called Gyeongbokgung, and the king who he is representing with the scar over his eye is GwangJong. He also references Prince Sado who was ordered by his father King Yeongjo to go into the rice chest and locked it. Agust D said to throw his past in it, which is truly history! Thought this might be helpful. He has a lot of bars that have more than one meaning. The slave, who he was, but is now free. He's never compromised! He is still the same person and fought his way to the top from his knowledge. Daechwita means play it loud, or great hit, and also victory. He won!
daechwita is played during a king's ceremonial procedures. the irony in the music video is that it's being played during the king's execution. also, agust d was involved in every bit of the mv process.
I loved your reaction as usual! A side note which you may have missed- the butchers in the market that yoongi makes eye contact with at the beginning are also the executioners, so this implies that black haired yoongi (commoner yoongi) had some sort of understanding with the executioners, so instead of cutting off his head they cut his rope and gave him a gun to kill king yoongi. I'm guessing king yoongi is also evil/corrupt, so it was necessary for commoner yoongi to kill him.
oh snap............. great analogy about 'blind leading the blind' bit... I'm so down with this format you guys do...we all enjoy your reaction and I appreciate the dissection on segment two... You guys.... man you guys are awesome at this

Moonlight, Daechwita, and Burn It.
i really love Dear my friend. they’re all amazing songs, but that one hits very close to home for me.
Daechwita is a Korean music played to notify the people that the King is coming out of his palace to go on his rounds. The people should bow when they see the king. It's also played when the Korean army marches out for battle.
That is so cool. All of it but especially how SUGA makes it a point to break the stereotype 🤓

Yeah to me, in my humble opinion, Agust D is telling us that the only person who can put his previous cocky and greedy self down it's himself but with upgrade skills (sword vs gun) the way they ''kill'' is different. Also the Agust D emperor is all alone and the rising Agust D is surounded so, I think Yoongi is telling us how he improve to be as his best and that the only person who have controll on him is himself.

theory: "I ain't no weak pill-popper like you" refers to the Korean (usually hip hop) artists who take drugs just to look cool and be with the trend/imitating hip hop artists in America. In conclusion, Yoongi doesn't stoop to their level in trying to attain fame and success, he didn't need to pop pills and "look cool" in order to earn his fame- he earned his fame because he's just that good at what he does, hence "I was born a tiger" and "born in a ditch but rise up a dragon"
love it
Well said. In total agreement with you. AugD simply has the talent, swag and impressive work ethic to not result to drugs in order to BE above and beyond. He reaches for a much higher level of respect, self respect. I truly love his passion and artistry. HE IS KING!
i love this explanation so much! I hope those people in the hip hop scene read this. :D

Plus, idk if you noticed this but the executioner who freed him is the same dude who was cutting the meat at the beginning of the video (the butcher) . I guess the "folk" Yoongi made a plan with him to kill the "King" Yoongi
The King Yoongi is the old Agust D (from 2016) and the folk Yoongi is the current Agust D
Omg I hadn't noticed that!! Thanks for sharing 💜👏🏻
Just like the lyrics he was born into the slums, built a following, grew little by little, and took the throne by force.
In other words, he’s on some king shit 👑 🔥

Yes! I thought the same but could not be 100% sure - the butcher is also the executioner!! :)
Isn't he their choreographer irl? Tell me if I'm wrong
Blaze: "ask him how much he takes for beats"
AgustD: " who says time is money, my time is worth more than that" 😆
oh boy there's a lot to explain but here I go! hahaha
Daechitwa is the music heard in the begin, it's the Korean traditional music played for the march of a king or high official when the venture out and everybody bows down.
Also Yoongi really loves scarface. hahaha
The painting you see is their CEO bang pd.
Theory
three heads on the balcony could symbolise the Big 3 power companies in the industry.
Blonde Yoongi is the one which is arrogant, and corrupt with fame and wealth. Black Yoongi can either be his past self as a poor boy from Daegu or his current self. Black self kills his alter ego perhaps symbolizing how he isn't going to be that person famous for simply 'flexing' or 'popping pills'
Linking to Jungian psychology this whole back killed blonde may be him also accepting his shadow as one in the same. instead of keeping him a separate persona he embraces him altogether. Honestly there is so much more I could day but this comment is long enough haha
if you listen then rest of mixtape please do it with lyrics. the song are quite sad but incredibly written and of course I will be back to offer some explanation! hahaha great reaction as always!
The scar thing is a plot from a K-Drama. Trust me. I live over here and asked my friends to double check. Ask any Korean. Kings/Emperors were allowed to have facial scars.

To add something the pill poppers is referencing the people that take drugs as an aesthetic.
also another thing to add, if korean kings still existed today, yoongi could have been a king. he is a descendant of the yeoheung min clan and so he has royal blood in him. same with jin and taehyung , they have royal blood from a different clan (: . it just makes this video even more interesting

In Run, right? 😂😂
It was hilarious when I saw it. 🤣
I was about to write this same comment, since they asked what that picture was. But, I decided to see if someone wrote it. Here it is! 😂😂💜💜
So how I interpret the whole video:
It all comes down to a line in The Last in his first mixtape, "And Min Yoongi?
@@Orion_TheyThem thank you for the correction, the scar bit I just read on twitter and thought it was good to add.

A historical drama where Yoongi plays the character of the twins: the tryant King Min of Joseon and the rebel brother Yoongi
The reason why they have both have an identical scar in their eye is because they were twins cursed at birth.

Suga did it all himself,I don’t think he got much sleep he is a musical genius, loved this more please.🦜🐅🐅🐅
Respect to yall for not uploading the reaction in the first 24 hours 💜💜 True armys!!
Suga overlooked all the production and everything. He was in charge of almost everything and he did a damn good job.
Jin and Taehyung are from the same ancient clan and thus are distant relatives.
finding out that blew my mind and looked it up on Wikipedia some other Kpop idols too from male and female groups
MsKaz1000 I know I was stunned when I looked it up myself. Like who would’ve known.
I adore suga's voice modulation and shift in flow he's so fond of in his verses, one of the many reasons why he is my bias
I like the traditional beats in the beginning. Gotta say this whole ass mixtape is a bop 🔥
You can say Agust D like August 😊 and I've BEEEEEEEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
Omgoooosshh! Thank U!! Thank U!! Thank U first because you guys wait the 24 hrs before you release you reaction video. Second omg you stream correctly for help with the views!!! 😱🤭😪 And 3.- Your honesty in every second about your reaction we can see and feel it you! I really enjoy this. 😌
The part talking about the blindfolded part was really smart, didnt really think of that myself
To announce the coming of a nobleman or king
Angela Sealana Thanks for the correction. i was excited and was reading too fast 😂👍🏾
Love the juxtaposition of the high ranking king & the low ranking commoner each claiming " I'm the King, I'm the Boss". And perhaps both are true, where for one it was given and the other it was earned.
really small thing but It’s pronounced august like the month, not a-gust
Madeleine T-McGarty yes!!! 💜 there are people over in another reaction arguing about this...sigh.... if anyone thinks it is different than the month, go to Yoongi’s vLive from this morning and listen to #0613_FM0523 at about 1:00 and he says it August-tah-Dee with the “tah” really fast....
Pronounce it any way you want! It sounds like a-gust to me in Moonlight. But it doesn't matter.
Max is a part of one of his tracks in D-2!
suga produce all the songs in his mixtape this was supposed to be out last year but he said he's going to fix it i remeber he said it in bon voyage s4
pls react to the full mixtape borahae💜
*Everything he does is amazing. He's so incredibly talented. Love him.*
*Love you guys, great job.*
The respect I have to the these men. Thats why I always love your channel. Worth the wait!!! Something to look forward right after 24hrs of the MV. 🔥🔥🔥
Blaze is my spirit animal, man's just respecting and appreciating every aspect of this song and MV!! The point he made about when Yoongi's blindfolded and how the army still feels him and goes along with him, beautiful observation. To me it says that as an artist, Yoongi can be "tied up/blindfolded", basically restricted by all the bs in the industry and how haters try to take away from BTS' influence/success, yet ARMYs will never leave his side and we'll always support everything they're doing 💜
👆OMG I so agree with you🙌 thanks for recognizing my thoughts and I appreciate yours as well 😍💜💜💜💜❗
@@BlazeHVShow Thank you man for being a part of this channel, you truly add something special & I've enjoyed your reactions a lot 💜Stay healthy and happy!
YAAAASSSS ! Been checking for this all day ! and I think this is the earliest I've ever been to a video lol
I could tell how bad you wanted to pause on the first listen I get goosebumps everytime I watch and listen to Daechwita fr!
That in the painting is Bang PD 😂😂😂
Long time ago Jungkook draw him like that which really looks like him so now they put it in the MV.. I think that painting is enough for all ARMY to understand there is something related to Bang PD going on lmao
yaaaaay!!!!!!!...so glad your doing this spng...was waiting for this video..AgustD is sooooo freaking RAW,,,yeeeeees. I watched it 20 + x...and counting
when blaze said the part he wanted to throw something at the screen. relatable. i wanted to punch something because of how fire this is
For a few who don't know about the Joseon era/dynasty, the palace is called Gyeongbokgung, and the king who he is representing with the scar over his eye is GwangJong. He won!
did u know that yoongi is related to korea last empress so he really is a king
how did u know
Not really a king, but he does indeed have royal bloodline.
If you search his name lineage it shows his family name tree
He is , in min clan
Wow
daechwita is played during a king's ceremonial procedures. the irony in the music video is that it's being played during the king's execution. also, agust d was involved in every bit of the mv process.
You guys.... man you guys are awesome at this
Oh thanks for noticing and thanks for the love 🤗💜💜💜💜❗
I'm been waiting the whole day for this!
