Wonderful update and video, Ana! Your Mammillarias are clearly still enjoying themselves, despite the temperatures, beautiful blooms!! Also the Thelocactus setispinus is looking good! Yep, unfortunately the Euphorbia not looking too happy, would indeed need a new rootstock relatively quickly, and that would definitely have to be another Euphorbia (lactea probably best). Thanks so much for sharing, take care and best wishes for some rel. cooler temperature coming your way soon! Enjoy your Sunday and also the week ahead!
I think it must be a little hotter here in Phoenix, Ana. I have very few plants blooming. One that seems to love the heat is Echinopsis 'Apricot Glow' hybrid of Mark Dimmitt. Do you have that one? I can't believe how it is flowering even now!
AWESOME update on your collection Ana and BEAUTIFUL blooms too, your pink flowering Mammillarias are absolutely GORGEOUS, and HUGE blooms for Mammillarias, and thats fantastic your seed grown Thelocactus setispinus is blooming for the first time, thanks so much for sharing the wonderful update with us, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and CAFFEINE and PLANT POWER to Las Vegas for a blooming amazing Sunday today XXXX
Those are very beautiful flowers!!! I also live here in Las Vegas, it my cactus aren’t blooming. You said you water your cactus every 3 days, maybe I need to do the same. I water like 1x a week
Yes, I am watering every 3 to 4 days, at least twice a week. But the watering depends on your micro climate, the pots that you use, and your soil mix as well. If your cacti look plump maybe they are getting sufficient water. But if they look dehydrated, try increasing the frequency of your watering.
Nice update video, Ana. Awesome blooms on those Mammillaria 😍 I’d definitely degraft that Euphorbia, rot spreads quickly in them. That one can actually live happily on its own roots. Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜☕️
Love your large flowered mammillarias!! Nice Ana!! Yes!! Cut the variegated Euphorbia lactea off its root stock immediately!! Rot travels fast in Euphorbias!! You don't need a new root stock. This one will root on its own!! Even though it is mostly white, you will notice there is some green in it so it is capable of photosynthesis. It's the same plant as Euphorbia lactea variagata " white ghost " and they root easy. Just like normal, cut it , make sure no black spots are left on it. Then dry and root as normal! Glad to see your plants are doing well. We are in the same heat you are, except humid. At 101° it feels like 112° heat index. It's like breathing hot water ! It's supposed to break by Friday and go back in the 90°s. I was used to the heat of Tucson and Southern California, dry. I have lived here almost 40 years and I never have gotten used to the humidity. Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers with us Ana!!! Good luck with your lactea crest!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks out to LasVegas, have a wonderful week ahead !!! Peace, Love, Plants!!! ✌️💖🌵🌴🪴🌿🌳🌸🌾🌷💐🌱🌻🌹😃👍
Unless you want the Euphorbia lacteal v. cristata on a graft, why not just root it in damp sand? It's usually pretty easy but it might take a while in this extreme heat.
Great to see your beautiful plants and flowers Nice that they have mostly recovered Sorry to hear you lost some I recently returned from a seven week visit to the Netherlands. Fortunately all of my small collection of succulents and cacti survived in great condition. One on the advantages of traveling during our winter.
I'm always so jealous of your cacti, very beautiful, Ana. Your gardening background really shows. I wish I could live in the desert. I found this video from "Plant One On Me" I thought you'd enjoy. ua-cam.com/video/8OJ15fzDA6Y/v-deo.html Cute name huh? Get a load of these cacti flowers! I shared your video of Brent and his Torch Cacti with them. They will enjoy Brent's crazy flowering plants.
Hellooo, I'm making the switch over to using rainwater for my cacti and I've installed a water butt, however I'm a little worried if the water coming from the gutters may contain things that are harmful for my cactus, should I filter the rain water before using it, with something like a Brita filter?
I have been noticing that the cacti that produce offset are not self fertile and other cacti that not produce any offset like, golden barrels, ferocactus and astrophytums are self fertile. Is it true or not ? I'm still novice in this hobby but i noticed it. 🤓 Thank you.

They've done well for a good watering Ana 😎 Hope you can sort the Euphorbia out, I lost mine in the frost 😮🌵🌵
They look beautiful! Back from the brink.
Beautiful blooms ! Good luck with dealing with the extreme heat. This summer has been brutal.
Wow, the nicest Mammilaria blooms I have ever seen. Your cacti seem very comfortable despite the heat 🎉👏🥰
They are! Thanks for visiting, Fernanda. 😊
Awesome... I think I have that Rose quartz one!! It hasn't bloomed yet 😢
I love it! Hope yours give you blooms soon.

I am also in Las Vegas and surprised to see mine are blooming too this late in summer
Hope you and your plants are ok with the rain that we are getting right now.

I wish I had your weather; you're about sixty degrees warmer than here in NE Scotland lol.
Question, If you have time Ana. :) Do you find that Opuntias do not bloom very often?
It's good to see that they are thriving again with your care. Do u bring any cactus from Philippine?
