no, I just wrote the code for the game, its easier this way

How realistic is it to make a top-down RPG like Pokemon on GameBoyAdvance and what is needed for this ?

RPGs are big projects. Lots of systems, lots of balancing needed. At least with top down you don't have to worry about physics... well, not for an RPG style game.
