    Crazy how all of that happens just by switching one small lever

      Yeh and that lever on the airbus could also be a pushbutton switch. It's just for the importance of it. Amazing!

    It’s interesting how you can’t hear those metal whirring sounds if you’re on the ground as the plane takes off, flies above you and retracts its gear.

  • @dabneyoffermein595

    it's amazing how strong the framework of an A330 must be to be able to handle the forces necessary to retract that heavy heavy gear cluster. The tires alone are unimaginably heavy, and this is all handled by an aluminum frame, correct? This all has to happen very quickly too so as to reduce drag. The retract doors are so fast, the hydraulic system is simply engineered by geniuses. They probably all went to Purdue or MIT. And oh by the way, it all has to work and get stored in extremely cold temperatures. Can you imagine the fluctuations in tire temperature?

    Is there a reason why the hatches close slightly unsynchronised?

    • @alterlimit
      @alterlimit  2 роки тому +18

      Well i presume the reason is that we use ground hydraulic supply to do the test and probably the hydraulic supply is not enough, keep in mind landing gear is really high consumer of hydraulic!

    • @MonetILU
      @MonetILU Рік тому

      No, no cabe. Y si de alguna manera lograra caber allí, muere dentro de media hora por frío (-56 C) o por falta de oxígeno, a 12.000 metros de altura.
      Y no, por mucho que intentes, no puedes aguantar ni ese frío ni estar sin oxígeno. Algunos hombres que han intentado esconderse allí ya muere cuando el tren de aterrizaje sube hacia dentro y los aplasta. La hidráulica que lo mueve, tiene esa fuerza. No va a parar hasta lograr meter el tren de aterrizaje adentro por mucha presión hidráulica que haga falta.
