I have a 1956 Suburban & am origional owner and still using for mowing. But I think I may have lost a tooth in the differential gear on the left side. For years I have had a minor issue that 3rd gear won't stay in gear if there is any significant load. After all these years, I'd like to get it repaired, but finding the right replacement gear(s) sounds like a nightmare. Would anyone be interested in repairing it or supplying a rebuilt unit. Any other suggestions?
Tractors produced before serial no11628 contain 10 spline gears an shaft after 11628 they were 11 spline gears and shaft. It was in a service bulletin I have from a dealers book I bought years ago.
I’m rebuilding a transmission just like this one and mine has the same scoring on the differential bushings is it okay just to leave it like it was and not replace the bushings?
Good morning, I would like to ask you to measure the side plates for the gearbox, I only need the height and length because I am rebuilding a Wheel Horse rj in Poland and I have limited access to parts. Please, I really need it
If your good you can go 1st 2nd 3rd no grinding

If the bushing doesn't appear to have been worn super thin you can run it... just be aware though its worn and there will be an issue in the future...
VinsRJ ok thanks

I would contact you by e-mail, i.e. I will send you a drawing of the dimensions you need and you will enter them in the drawing.
