Plenty of traction engines too see in this video, but when it came to a view of the straw/hay harvester, not so much 😪. This process was in large part what the traction engines were used for. I would have liked to have seen more of this process in action: ref: 1:03.51 I understand that many farmers didn't own their own traction engine, so hired it for this process. It would arrive at the farm with its load of firewood the evening prior to the next day's work.
