      @@eadad4371 Alright so generally, investing requires higher knowledge. For this reason, It's important to have a solid support structure (financial consultant) to guide you through especially in asset picking. I operate with (REGINA LOUISE COLLARO) an investment advisor who partners with a licensed wealth management firm. For the record, the experience has been the best for my finance. She is quite popular for her services so you might have heard of her.
      She made me financially stable investing through her help, now I earn on a monthly basis through her passive income strategy...So I’ll advise you do get a good Investment advisor for yourself.

    Thanks for posting the video. Seems it has been a pretty smooth process for you so far. My wife and I just listed our boat on Boatsetter as well and I have to say, we are a little nervous. Our boat is a big part of our family lifestyle so of course having her in someone else’s hands we don’t know is a mental hurdle to get over. Just curios, since you made this video, have you rented your boat on any more half day or full day rentals? Do you still feel pretty confident with your decision to list your boat with Boatsetter? Happy Boating, Cap.

      Did you end up renting your boat out? If so, how did it go? I working on setting mine up now, but I may only offer Captain option as I’m too nervous!!

    I was just researching my area to see what the market was like and there were none. The nearest body of water is around a half hour away. I want to purchase a wake/surf boat and rent it out when I'm not using it. What do you suggest I do?

    • @michaelprentice472
      @michaelprentice472  5 років тому +2

      Boatsetter is ok at marketing, but you need to Google search and look on craigslist maybe even Facebook marketplace to see if there are any other boat rentals. I also put my boat up for rent on other platforms with a link to boatsetter unless you get marine insurance that will cover rentals.

  • @MrCutLawnCare

    I’ve had people ask for overnight rentals but boatsetter told me they only cover insurance during the rental period (half or full day)
    How did you get around this?!

    • @michaelprentice472
      @michaelprentice472  5 років тому

      Hmmmm I haven't heard that, I spoke with boatsetter staff when the lady first asked about booking and he went through the process and sent the official offer to her on my behalf. He said it was covered for the entire trip.

    • @MrCutLawnCare
      @MrCutLawnCare 5 років тому +1

      Maybe in my case it’s because they were entering it in as 2 separate full day rentals and not as an actually multi-day rental and then asking to keep it overnight. I’ll have to look into it, glad to see other boat owners sharing their experiences with boatsetter! Thanks!

      What type of boat do you have ?
      How long is the process?
      Are you actually on the boat with the people or do you give them your boat?
      If you have to be on the boat w them do you need a captains license?
      Thank you
      Stay safe

      @@g.pearson4726 I started with a 2013 bayliner 175 and now have a 2020 Suntracker 22ft tritoon 150hp
      Its easy to setup an account with them and each rental requires very little work. I wipe the boat down before each rental, meet the renters at my local ramp, go over boat and paperwork (15 Minutes)and then have them all get in the boat and load up stuff and back the boat down the ramp with them in it. It would be Much easier if you had your boat in a slip but i do not.
      At the end of the rental I back the trailer down, get on the dock, have them slowly pull up, and then i step on the boat and pull it on the trailer and pull them up to the unloading area, go over the boat, help unload and finish paperwork (another 15 min) on average from house back to house, lauhching takes 45 min of my time, and pickup/refueling takes 30-45 min. So 2 hours max of my time per rental, and about $400 in my pocket for a full day rental.
      I dont go on the boat except for pulling it on the trailer. They even pull it off. it really simple and safe. fully insured so i dont have to worry about a thing! I also have a gps tracker in it for my ease of mind.
      Overall, keep the boat clean, be on time and answer all the customers questions, you will get all 5 star reviews and do lots of rentals. I made $7900 last year from July 15th-end of september
      sorry for the long response, if you have other questions email me washitprosllc@gmail.com
      Good luck and happy boating

      I really appreciate you responding. I don’t have my boat yet. But I know that this is something I want to do.
      I like the fact that I can do something else
      While there enjoying the boat.
      Im researching boats now.

      Boatsetter has been great for me, 1 month in and $3000 I’d day 10-15k depending on how many rentals you allow, but keep in mind your time and boat maintenance.
