The option for a name is not on either the device or the desk top. It goes straight to send money now after you enter the amount. I live in the USA and sending to the USA
Those options don't show up in my PayPal account 😡😡😭😭😭😭
After a bit of sleuthing, I found that if the recipient has a business account, then the "friends and family" option is no longer available. But if they have a personal account, then you'll be given the option to send as friends and family.
This must be it. Before it never mattered but they keep changing everything.
I can't get it to work either way.

@@sandyyvonallain its the recipient who has a business account you having either doesn't matter, it defaults to goods and services if the recipient has a business account

I don't understand why the hell it thinks my paypal account is a business one but how can I change it?
I already deleted the account, tried to open a new one but I can't link the cards anymore since it says they are linked to a different account.... paypal sucks jesus christ.
Just letting everybody know as of October 2022 anybody with a business account can no longer send money true friends and family.

I have a personal account and some people's payments have gone Friends and Family and others; Goods and Services. I don't know why that is. I just had somebody try twice and it went Goods and Services. Still didn't get the whole amount! I am beginning to think it has something to do with different phone apps people are using working differently, so they don't see a Friends and Family option and probably have to hunt around for where it is.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Is it possible that that feature isn't available in Malaysia? Do you have a bank account connected to your PayPal?
If you have a business account you will not be able to send money to friends and family anymore. You can thank PayPal for that. It's in their recent update last fall

What country are you using PayPal from? It isn't available in some areas.

PayPal updated their accounts back in the fall. Anybody with a business account will not have the friends-and-family option anymore

How long does it take for them to get it?
It should be in their PayPal within minutes.
@@AnsonAlexander sent a payment on 28th March of this year. Says its pending and still hasn't gotten to the other person. PayPal ain't it.
