As someone who has suffered from Spasmodic Dysphonia for nine years, I believe RFK, Jr. has huge balls to even run with that voice; not only can it be painful to listen to, it is uncomfortable and tiresome to have to speak.

I personally think his voice gives him a slight advantage. When I first started listening to him talk earlier this year, I found myself kinda having to really focus on what he was saying, which is a good thing haha. Now that I've listened to him for dozens of hours I basically don't even notice it anymore.

What REALLY MATTERS regarding RFK Jr are his IDEAS, not his voice:
Kennedy said he suffers from a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, which causes the muscles that generate a person's voice to go into periods of spasm.

I’ve had the same condition for 40 yrs, since I was 22. Mine came on quickly, within months my voice was gone. Life has been stressful, people can be cruel. My condition was only diagnosed 8 yrs ago and now I have treatment every 3 months, Botox injected into my vocal chords. The results are very hit and miss which makes planning life a nightmare as sometimes for weeks on end I have no voice at all.
I have nothing but admiration for RFK jnr, it’s hard to address an audience when you have no idea what sound will come out of your mouth.
The most frustrating thing is very few people have heard of Spasmodic Dystonia.

@Berny27 that bothered me as well so I went looking for interviews where he addresses it. Of which there are several now. He isn't acti-vax, he just wants investigations into not only vaccines but all drugs for cost - benefit and to discover the root cause of the rising number people with chronic diseases. The numbers just so happen to coincide with major vaccination drives. So he wants a thorough investigation which so far hasn't been done. Likely because the largest pharmaceutical corporations have monetary interest in preventing it. So I agree, do the studies, find the truths. And if vaccinations aren't linked, fantastic! Hmmm, well let's see. Growing up with that wealth and power and prestige, I would think it would be unusual to NOT have a lot of confidence and swag. I'm a fan of the Kennedy's, but we shouldn't compliment somebody for hitting a triple when they were born on 3rd base.

I was simply commenting on RFKJr’s attractiveness as a young man. not sure what your comment is supposed to mean - I gather some envy, perhaps btwn what he and some others may have vs you, but that’s going on in your head. despite being born into ‘a triple’ he did lose an uncle and then his father when he was 14. I was just giving a compliment about him then, and obvs he is still doing the same influential and important kinds of work 40yrs later. is that enough credibility for you?

@@reelpopcorn I like RFK Jr, but I fear he is a misguided individual. I watched an ad he put out where he was very positive and highlighted what he believes in - it was very good. I also concur with his views on the assassinations in the 1960s and the corrupt nature of our intelligence services during the 50-early 80s. But he goes too far, to the point where he believes everything is a conspiracy put forward by people with evil motives. I don't agree with that. The days of Allen Dulles and his cadre is long past - the present CIA and FBI make mistakes, sure, but I don't believe they are inherently evil. I do believe, in the hands of bad leadership, they can still act in corrupt fashion, as I think was done in the run-up to the Iraq invasion, for example, in 2003. I think RFK Jr has negatively impacted a lot of good people in that regard.

If you look at the interviews where they lead him to say anything bad about his opponents, he'll say good things about them or nothing at all. I could still listen to him talk for hours since it’s so clear that he is one of the only politicians at that level with a real, honest moral compass, who actually cares about the people in his country. I believe he ultimately wants to carry on his fathers legacy, who also cared deeply for his people.
