I like this part where it looks like he’s looking curiously at the camera, really makes this series feel much more grounded
Imagine if Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private travelled back in time to witness these prehistoric swimming birds in action.
They’d be impressed!
Skipper: Kowalski, analysis
Kowalski: sir i think those are our grandparents
1:04-1:06 Looked like he was breaking the fourth wall and looking at the audience who were watching him.
When you realize that youre in a extintc animals documentary
There's a reason why this point in time was ranked highest over even the Megalodon's reign in 2007 Sea Monsters a Prehistoric Adventure.
They didn't call the Cretaceous oceans "Hell's Aquarium" for nothing.
Except that in reality the Pisco Formation (one of the places megalodon is known from) had more AND bigger predators than any point in the Cretaceous.
2:01 best underwater dance routine ive ever seen!
If you made a penguin and a heron have a baby, this would be the results.
That's just a darter bird (look it up)
It is just a sea Cormorant
Yea have you ever seen a cormorant?
Hesperornis more looks like a loon than penguins, herons and cormorants.
@@asiy1809 no?
Finally, Xiphactinus is portrayed as the badass predator it was and not just mosasaur fodder.
Also known as X-Fish.
@@tonybusch8771Elon must have seen this comment 😂
Hesperomis were the penguins before true penguins..
penguins aren't even the true penguins as they were named after birds from the north Atlantic, Great Auks Pinguinus impennis
Its sea monsters all over again XD
The 2007 documentary?
@@UnwantedGhost1 yep
1:35 that was entertaining to watch also the Hell's aquarium of a Baitball
Just me or soundtrack sounds quite similar to Sea Monsters with Nigel Marven?
Before you ask, hesperornis was still avian due to it being a bird
Next one needs to be in the Jurassic.
Hesperornis is actually “both” a bird and a dinosaur, and one that actually lives in water, almost entirely, and sometimes comes out of the water and hangs out on dry land.
Birds are theropod dinosaurs
That’s kinda what I meant by that.
Birds are avian dinosaurs you mean
I hope PNSO or collecta release a model of hesperornis!
The hesprornis swiming in the water
Before Spinosaurus there was Hesperornis, and miss me with the 'but it's a bird'
Both Theropods
The spinosaurus is older than the hesperornis
@@Elsmarsh To go fully aquatic? No that would be the Hesperornithes. With one of the first Enaliornis, living in the Albian of the early late cretaceous roughly the same time as Spinosaurus aegypticus.
Why hesperornis in prehistoric planet 2 has no wings?
Unseen clips of tomorrow’s episode

Lao how do you screen capture Apple tv?
Demon from Ark
I cant belive Penguins was living with dinosaurs
This is not a penguin. Is a member of an extinct group of prehistoric birds related to all living (true) birds. Penguins are more related to albatross than to Hesperornis.
