- Kid Reporter William Russell interviewed Dav Pilkey in June at Scholastic global headquarters. They sat down and talked about his writing and his past, including his childhood heroes. He even mentioned a Captain Underpants movie! Some of his answers might surprise you.

Thank you young sir and Mr. Pilkey for the great Interview!! Been reading Underpants since the first one came out when I was in the first grade, and I just picked up Robo-Boxers. George and Harold's characters inspired me to be creative on my own and make my own books in elementary school. I hope the movie really stick to those themes. Also Super Diaper baby had the most jokes per page for sure, so I can see why you favored it.

You inspired me to write a few comics when I was a kid. I created one called captain dynamite. He was basically a superhero with dynamite themed powers. I bet you would've liked it if I mailed it to you
Aidan Barnes he inspired me to right a comic: The Epic Adventures of Stickman! I actually made a Stickman where he and captain underpants met up.

Rob Letterman, the director of Monsters vs. Aliens will direct Captain Underpants. Nicholas Stoller the writer of Yes Man and The Muppets will write the screenplay.

Now here is a theory for Captain underpants book 12: I watched from a video where the robo squid malfunctioned and george and harold didnt exist anymore so we know from the ending where yesterday george and yesterday harold were making a dogman comic. This ties up to old george and old harold for 2 reasons.
1. Old george and old harold make dogman books in the future
2. Yesterday george and yesterday harold didnt remember what happened in book 12 that explains why Old george and old harold said he didnt remember doing book 12 before.
That's it I guess.
