I bought this car in December. Getting good mileage. In city getting around 29 to 30 and in highway around 25. Good driving experience. Very happy with this car. I have drive around 1500 km

Plus points. Good average, good ground clearance, Big panoramic sunroof.
And the very important negative points are Boot space, no fog lamps, No cornering lamps, less headroom in back seats, power is less, sunroof covering cloth and the interior looks very cheap not worth 24+ lakhs. It feels like driving a cab :-)

Positives are already told by many... for me Some negative:
1. Boot space 250 ltr
2. No fog lamps
3. No cornering lamps
4. No head room in back seats
5. Plastic quality is not so great
6. Sunshade can get teared off, also allows lot of ambient light and heat, which can bring down AC efficiency
Mostly toyota should work better on space management... and improve plastic quality... otherwise it's a Fantastic car
Larger Boot space is available for mild hybrid version or Neo drive version

Appreciate the review. After surveying the latest in affordable hybrids, I chose the Honda City Hybrid (HCH). Three top reasons: 1) The drive. Better driving performance in the Honda than in the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder (TUCH), 2) Boot. Honda's boot size is more deep and practical than the TUCH's vertical boot and 3) Build quality. HCH's NCAP is not compromised at all. A strong 5* in the somewhat stricter ASEAN NCAP vs. 4* for the Toyota Urban Cruiser. TUCH's bedsheet rooftop is really off putting in the top version, which I would have gone for. And also (This will hurt the TUCH owners), the TUCH's backdoor is not made of metal - it is made of plastic like poly carbonate material, which I feel is Toyota learning the cheap tricks of Maruti Suzuki. Disturbing.
And just like magic - Toyota & Maruti issue recalls for nearly one lac units of the Hyryder/ Grand Vitara. I feel thoroughly vindicated.

Hello Sir looking for SUV my budget is around 17Lakhs Total running around 1200kms per month approximately 100% city driving in Delhi I prefer Automatic Transmission confused between Grand Vitara Mild Hybrid and Toyota Hyryder Strong Hybrid. After seeing your review of Hyryder I am impressed with the Hyryder. Please suggest I would appreciate a sincere and unbiased verdict as I believe that I will get the same. As company is providing warranty of hybrid Battery and Motor for 8 Years and 160K Km will that be an issue in future as I have to keep the car for long.

In city I’m easily getting 24+ mileage with slightly conscious eco driving style. And note this is in notorious Bangalore traffic. I’ve S-Hybrid model which cost 18.69 on road. Extremely happy with this kinda mileage, I’ve stopped using scooters now 🤣

I was surprised when @Ask CarGuru said hyryder is flop in their other video. This video seems more practical and I can agree with most of the points mentioned here since I own Hyryder and I am simply loving every bit of it. Thanks Amitji for bringing this video. Prospective buyers should go for it. I never felt it underpowered 😃
