Grayson’s Story

- Grayson is nine years old and was born with a rare chromosome disorder known as Angelman syndrome. Grayson has seizures, he is nonverbal, and he does not have the ability to walk on his own. But thanks to support from the Easter Seals community, Grayson has been given the chance to experience a life full of possibilities.
Grayson's mom, Linda, shares their journey from the moment they heard all the things Grayson “would never do” to the pride she feels today as he begins Grade Four.
With access to specialized equipment, Grayson can communicate, move around his school, and actively participate in his classroom. From sharing presentations to reading the attendance list, Grayson’s experience shows how the right support can make a world of difference.
Thank you for believing in Grayson’s potential and standing with Easter Seals families!

Wow, what a story!! Glad GRAYSON is such a happy kid !! I couldn't even imagine this and hat's off to MOM and rest of family for bringing up such a wonderful person!!
Beautifully said about your son with Angleman syndrome at his young age of 9.
I have a friend from my church who had twin boys. One of the twins had Angelman syndrome & used a stroller/push chair for riding in from car to church to there house as well or on walks! He is an amazing young man now & loves to hear music at church & gets so excited & others enjoy the many sounds of happiness that comes during the church service when he’s there.
God bless you always!

As a member of our regional Rotary Easter Seals Committee, I had the tremendous pleasure of meeting Linda and Grayson a few years ago and have since attended many events with them (including Rotary, which I was ecstatic to have her join). I can attest to the fact that Linda is an amazing Easter Seals mom, and Grayson is a terrific kid, always smiling and welcoming and full of life and joy. Parents like Linda and ES Kids like Grayson are the reason that Easter Seals has been my cause of choice for 26 years. I encourage everyone to meet some of the ES Kids in your region and discover why this is such a great cause to support!
Tutti pois suusta hampaat menee 😂
They are so happy to be alive, Angelman syndrome people have such a nice and happy life, enjoying everything they can, wish you the best for him.
DOES GRAYSON LIKE TRAINS? THE 2 LARGEST RAILROADS IN THE STATE OF IOWA THE HAWKEYE STATE NAMED AFTER CHIEF BLACK HAWK ARE THE BNSF RAILROAD & THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD. HE WILL LOVE TO SEE THE TRAINS THAT GO THROUGH IOWA.
What a beautiful and sweet boy
Will he always need his soother ?
probably, in terms of his mental structure hes around 9 months to over a year, this may change as he ages but
It probably helps him not bite on his lips
He might but it’s ok
No different to other kids chewing on their clothes or other chew toy really.
He’s not gonna bite his lips. I don’t bite them, either.
Aww. Lets be friends
I know Grayson has a pacifier
and why does he always carry a pacifier?
the father is white if the mother is black right
What if he's adopted rasist
