Great! Looking forward to see the performance of 18 -54 MHz. This is five different amateur bands in the States😮😮😮. If it does any one of those well, it would be amazing, and worth the money! (In my opinion)
@@IM1deadMONEY Definitely, at the very least, something like this will let you test your proper HF rig at a pinch. I really do hope someone does a custom firmware to try and unlock SSB
@@СтефанЦарьоварищ Get the Tidradio H3, it's quite a bit cheaper, does airband and there's a custom firmware available. If you want to listen to HF/CB, get the RT-900. Thanks.
I just got mine a few days ago and looking forward to your testing of the 10M and 33cm bands, power measurement if possible. I have tried hitting my local 900mhz repeater but it’s Motorola and the advertised sub tone is DPL532. I’ve have tried DCS532N and DCS532I and I’m not activating it. Either I’m just not hitting it or it’s incompatible with the repeater’s sub tone. I was using a small Lora 915mhz antenna roughly 7cm in length so maybe it’s the antenna. On the 10M side I think the repeater might be too far away plus I was using a monopole 27mhz extendable connected directly to the radio and maybe need something more substantial there as well.
@@arie1293 Hi, hope you're enjoying the new radio! I'll do a separate video on HF and CB power output, I don't think my HF power meter will arrive in time. My Surecom SW33 does give output on those bands but I'm not sure how reliable it is outside uhf and vhf. The only 8xx frequency I can test is 868, outside that, 8xx band and 9xxx band are allocated for TV and Mobile in the UK. As for the 10M repeater, it's worth finding some high ground and giving it a test. You should be able to at least receive something on 10M just to test reception. Try calling CQ on 10M FM as well to see if anyone responds.
@@azmanmurison1622 No problem at all. The only one I can think of is the Anytone 878UV II plus. I sometimes connect it to my car via bluetooth and it also comes with a bluetooth PTT button.
Good luck on your new youtube channel.

Congratulations on the video.I have a question: does it really work from 840-999MHz?!?
I think IJV firmware on UV-K5 enables 8xx reception. I'll touch on this in the review. Thank you.
@RadioRofi I am a beginner, what apparatus would you recommend? Tidradio-H3 5W or Radtel-900 8W ? Thank you.

Would love to see the scan speed on this. Looking forward to it!
@@TroyRank I'll do a comparison with UV-K5. Thanks.

Hey, do some tests on CB how it is in general, and between Quansheng on CB
@@Czasy_Końca_2028 Good idea. I'll do a quick video when I come across some chatter on CB.
Только что сделал заказ на такую модель..Цена вышла 26$. Как считаешь друг, это стоит своих денег??😊
Will this device connect to a Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth helmet coms set
@@azmanmurison1622 No, I'm afraid. At the moment, it's only for programming with the app.
@RadioRofi thank you for letting me know. It's a struggle to find one that does. Have you got any preferences that will?
