Todoroki stuff is pretty well written, I argued the best written in MHA because it's pretty realistic. But this isn't the end of the drama or all of Toya/Dabi's backstory. Like Jeanist said, how did he survive? You'll see the rest eventually. Good reaction.

The thing with Endeavor's "talk" with Toya is that he didn't show him enough value even if not training (hanging out with him in general to give him attention as a parent). So left him too much to his own devices and pushed Rei to handle things as time went on.
He told Toya to give up his obsession, but he wouldn't give up his own obsession to surprass All Might with a child. Toya saw that, so he was hypocritical. This is coming from someone who loves Endeavor's character as a favorite, as sometimes I've seen some people with these parts excuse him a bit too much from his mistakes with Toya.
The tear ducts that produce the liquid from your eyes when you cry got burned up when dabi caught on fire.

This 1 backstory hits people who have toxic families, have massive burdens forced onto them, feel like a disappointment to their parents, feel like a burden to their siblings, have their parents prefering another sibling over them, and those who are neglected by their parents. Dabi really been through it man its not hard to see why so many people loved Dabi after this chapter in the manga and hated Endeavor
The translation I saw in the manga instead of "you'll be glad to have a son like me" was " you'll realize I wasn't a mistake."
Yeah I didn't like the anime translation that much, I wish they'd kept the manga one, it makes it even sadder
The original line in Japanese was "you'll be glad that you've created me", not exactly accurate but the manga translation maybe better in terms of showing the desperation of Toya

Yeah, I’ve said this a lot, but this was called “The wrong way to put out a fire” for a reason. It’s honestly a perfect way of looking at what Endeavor did to Touya. Endeavor sparked the fire, and instead of giving it calm and gentle water or something to put it out, he basically poured gasoline and paint thinner on it, and then proceeded to ignore the fire and let it build, not realizing that he was not only the root of the problem but also the main one making it worse.
And by the time he did realize it, it’s all just too little too late.
The way hori wrote endeavor is my favorite in this whole series

@@ibrahimsurti4922 Lol you kinda sounded like All for One with that last line about Nana being a failure as a hero and mother. I don’t feel like Nana was that bad because if she stayed with Kotaro AFO would definitely have killed him and the rest of her family. That was entirely AFO’s fault.

You know, I think you still can see how each of the Todoroki children are in different phases of forgiving Endeavor and it's interesting. Toya has completely turned against him. Fuyumi maybe already has forgiven and just wants her family back. Natsu seems against the idea entirely. And Shoto hasn't forgiven him either but seems to be open to the idea.

dabi wasn't crying blood, his tear ducts are burnt therefore he can't actually cry. the blood was due to his injuries, it just happened to be the one on his eye
In the backstory he said he cries when he’s excited. He’s getting excited thinking about his revenge that he started crying and since his tear ducts were burnt he cries blood
To answer your question abt why Dabi was crying blood in that one shot is because a while back he mentioned that his tear ducts were burnt, so he can’t cry actually tears anymore so blood comes out instead of tears.
The Todoroki family is the best storyline, facts.
i think what really made Endeavor unforgivable for me is the fact that he kept risking having kids like who could have ended up like Toya being crippled unable to use there quirk thats just beyond disgusting.

I got the impression he kept having more kids so that, once he had a suitable "replacement," Toya would give up trying to surpass All Might. (Obviously that was a convenient "solution" in that it still served his original motive, but it looked like he convinced himself it was the answer.)

If Endeavor could just give up his obsession on All Might, did some sports or whatever normal parents do with their kids, use "action" to show Toya some self-worth more than his sole purpose of beating All Might, Toya won't be so obsess on becoming his father's ideal. "Just talk" won't work because Endeavor's love was conditional from day 1. When Toya was unable to fulfil his dream, he shifted all his attention to another kid. You can't just "talk a kid out". They can't understand. Parents meant the world to them, so they can't just give up and happily play with friends. Endeavor literally abandoned Toya. He ran away just like Rei said
I be forgetting that Deku is the MC with how they be doing the whole Todoroki family. I could tell you so much about the Todoroki's every single one of them but when it comes to Deku's family its silence lmao
His mom is at home and his dad is a business man overseas.

Literally tho. Shoto's only strength against Touya is his durability thanks to his ice quirk. But Touya was training his flame (which was already stronger than Endeavor's) for his whole life, while Shoto only recently started using it after refusing to for years. Shoto's fire is weaker than Touya's by default. His ice wouldn't even reach him before it melted 'cause of the pure heat Touya has. And even his durability is nothing against Dabi's willpower. Since Dabi's on his suicide mission, and he doesn't care if he'll burn, he can't even feel it. So Touya really *will* mop the floor with Shoto :')

Dabi beats Todoroki into buildings until finally getting frozen by Todoroki's full power. Dabi immediately melts the ice away, kills a bunch of Endeavor's sidekicks and escapes, lol.

The heroes have avoided killing villains for the entire show, obviously the Todorokis want to try to talk him down. (Although of course they'll fight and try to capture him if it comes to it.)

She is to blame a little for sure, but to say she's as guilty as endeavor is dumb as hell.
As dry as MHA is, the Todoroki drama is one of the best plotlines. Endeavor didn't get into a relationship to be a father. He only did it to have an offspring to groom to surpass him and All Might because of his selfish desire to have Glory over the guy. He couldn't be a father because he had no idea how to be one. The guy was a workaholic too so parenting was all put on the woman because that's all she was there for and that's all he saw her as and when she failed to be a parent he just blames her, which is strange he got that worked up about Touya .. which shows he did have some kind of love and guilt for his first child to react the way he did.
People how read the manga see the leaks of the mommy that is coming to figth in the end of the season 6
Im with touya..what a shit family for real and anyone who make excuses for endeavor its nuts , at least shoto have the attetion of his father to become a hero and sure the main charscter "who save him" but touya have no one neither his quirk help him, and his father was not worry about him...he was just make him stop so he dont waste time with his failed tool (son)...thats sad
